Chapter 26: Mishap At The Mall

Soon everybody started clapping.

The parents of the boy who was saved were brought back to their senses.

"Thank you so much for saving my son." The mother said with tears in her eyes. She also urged her son to say thank you.

The little boy hugged Amaya’s leg. He looked up at her with great admiration in his eyes like she was his superhero.

"Thank you, Auntie." He said in his cute voice.

Amaya picked her up, hugged him, and ruffled his hair before handing him back to her mother.

More and more people have gathered around. Marx pulled Amaya from the crowd and bodyguards protected them as they were led to the waiting car at the gate of the zoo.

The zoo security team who were at their posts earlier, ready to fire darts to sedate the lions that threatened the boy was relieved. They were surprised by the turn of events. The sudden appearance of the woman inside the enclosure initially caused them to panic because they thought she was another victim to be saved.

They were taken aback at how agile the woman moved. All her actions were captured by a lot of caras from bystanders and uploaded into the internet. Amaya once again has taken the internet like storm. She was tagged as "Princess of the Wild" and was portrayed as a heroine.

In the car, Marx took her mobile number and entered his na in her contacts. He also entered that of Karl and Chloe.

"I will not be with you but you can call

anyti. This is my private number. You can also call Karl or Chloe."

Amaya tapped on Marx’s contact number and his cell phone ring.

"So this is how it works."

She opened her browser and found a video of her and accidentally played it.

"Look, Marx. It’s . Don’t I look aweso?" She inched closer to Marx and shoved her cell phone near his face.

Marx sighed. He slt her scent and his breathing hastened. ’This little girl has no awareness on what she is doing to .’

"Look at how furious that lion is. He cannot shake

from his back. His mate was also shouting profanities at ." Amaya grinned at him.

"You did great Aya. You are a hero. You are a sensation now."

"Princess of the Wild? Is this ? It sounds nice." She looked at her phone and continued reading.

"Yup, you are a princess and you ca from the wild."

Amaya went to her social dia account.

"Marx, look I have over 1 million followers. What do followers an?"

Marx frowned. He also does not much about it.

"I’ll ask Chloe to tell you about it."

"By the way Aya, Chloe will accompany you to the mall later to get you so clothes. I’ll et you there and let’s have dinner. I’ll treat you to an Usturian al."

"Okay." She said and added, "Can I have lots of paper, pens, and coloring materials?"

"Sure." Marx typed sothing on his cellphone.

...

In the afternoon, Chloe accompanied Amaya to a high-end mall. She led her to the third floor of the departnt store.

Amaya’s jaw literally dropped. Her eyes were large like saucers.

"Wow, this is amazing. So many clothes and they are all so beautiful." She exclaid.

Chloe led Amaya to a couch and asked the sales attendants to send her clothes for fitting. Amaya spent the entire afternoon fitting. She depended on Chloe’s and the sales attendants’ recomndations.

In the end, Chloe bought herself a few pieces of sportswear, a few jeans, blouses, and formal and casual wear. She also has a few sneakers, rubber shoes, sandals, and stilettos . Chloe also bought matching bags.

Amaya was so tired she sprawled on the couch while her clothes were being packed.

Her cell phone rang. She was confused at first but successfully pressed the accept button. It was Marx. He ca to fetch her.

"Where are you Aya?"

"I’m sitting on a couch." She replied.

Marx sighed. He checked her location and took the escalator to the third floor.

Marx was the elusive CEO of the Skylar conglorate. Not many people have seen him in person yet here he was walking inside a mall in full view of the public. The won were ogling him.

Amaya saw Marx walking towards her. She felt that she missed him. She stood up and run like a wind towards him.

Marx was horrified.

"Stop!" He was too late.

Amaya hit the sliding glass with full impact. It failed to sense her movent because she was too fast. The door shattered into a million pieces. Amaya was unconscious on the ground, her forehead was bleeding profusely.

"Call the ambulance." Marx barked.

He lifted Amaya from the floor. He took out his handkerchief and gently pressed it on her bleeding forehead. One of the bodyguards reached out to take Amaya from the boss but Marx brushed him off.

Marx regretted going to the mall. If he hadn’t co, Amaya shouldn’t have ran like that and hit the glass.

’Why was she so excited? Did she miss ?’

Marx carried Amaya into the waiting ambulance. The mall has ambulance that were on standby during mall operating hours.

The paradic quickly cleaned and applied applied dicine on her forehead.

"Don’t worry, the wound is only superficial. After suturing, she should be fine" He assured Marx.

When Amaya woke up, she was lying inside a white room on a white bed.

Marx was sitting beside her looking worried.

"Are you hurting sowhere?"

Amaya touched her forehead and she felt a soft material on it.

"This is nothing." She said casually and sat down. "What is this place?"

"This is the hospital."

"Oh, really. Daddy used to work in a hospital. A military hospital." She looked around but didn’t find anything interesting at all.

Her stomach growled.

"I’m hungry Marx. You promised earlier to treat

to an Usturian al."

"Let

check if the doctor will allow you to be discharged."

Since Amaya was not seriously wounded, the doctor allowed her to be discharged. Marx brought her to the Eye of the Galaxy. It was a high end restaurant perched on top of the highest tower in Usturia.

The roof, the walls and the floor of the restaurant were made of glass giving one the 360 view of the Usturian skyline.

Amaya felt dizzy at first and she held Marx’s arm tightly. But then as she looked around, she began to enjoy the view around and below here.

"This is aweso! I feel like I am floating in space and part of the constellations."
