Chapter 150: A Precious Gem

A loud clap was heard from the back. Amaya looked back to see Prince Ibarra and King Ralden clapping their hands.

"The princess’s archery skill is exceptional. I planned to coach you and give you tips but it seed that you don’t need any help at all." King Ralden spoke in the sa magnetic voice that could cause any woman to be in a daze. Amaya finally learned how to counter it.

"I have to thank my Daddy Ibrahim for teaching

well. I also have practiced a lot. These are the weapons I used to survive in Miraga." Amaya explained casually as she looked into those deep dark eyes without flinching.

"What an interesting life you have their Princess. You have two daddies. So who really is your daddy?"

Prince Ibarra’s heart skipped a bit. Will Amaya admit that his biological father was Ibrahim?

"When I was in Miraga, It was Daddy Ibrahim, but he left and now I am here in Lireya and my daddy is Ibarra. They are identical twins sharing the sa DNA so they are both my daddies."

The crown prince heaved a sigh of relief. He was happy that Amaya really treated her as a father.

"Your Majesty, I prepared a bow and a quiver of arrows for you. I heard you ntioned earlier that you haven’t played with your bow and arrows in a long ti." Zanzara spoke sweetly as she handed the bow and arrows to their guest.

King Ralden looked down on the woman who was a head shorter than her. He can clearly tell that she was seducing him with her eyes and lips. Among the three princesses, she fawned over him the most.

He gave her a gentle smile and received the bow and arrows. When he turned around to face his target, his eyes turned cold. He pulled the arrow toward his face and released it. His arrow landed inside the inner ring but did not hit the bullseye.

He cursed silently. He beca a little rusty. He pulled another arrow from the quiver that Zanzara held up for him. He did not forget to smile gently at her.

He released his second arrow and this ti he hit the bullseye. The granddaughters of King Duncan clapped their hands in admiration, except for Amaya.

"Not bad, Your Majesty!" was her casual remarks.

The servants were busy preparing for the sets of targets. This ti the targets would be moving. One of the guards prepared a sturdy rope and tied both ends to two tal poles. Six targets, equally spaced were joined together by a string. Pulling the string will move all six targets serially.

For Amaya’s first attempt, the servant pulled the string slowly. Amaya released all six arrows. It seed as if she was just releasing and aiming randomly. However after checking the results, it all turned out that Amaya hit the bullseye for 4 out of the six targets. For the remaining two, her arrows landed inside the innermost ring.

"Your shooting skills area exceptional Amaya. You should teach your younger brother." Prince Ibarra praised her. Amaya’s heart ward. It was not often that Ibarra would acknowledge her skill.

"Your Majesty, would you like to try?" Zanzara asked expectantly.

"I will be out to sha if I would." He laughed heartily. Zanzara, Tatiana, and Shanya were enthralled by his laughter.

"What a gem you have there, Prince Ibarra." King Ralded addressed Ibarra but he cannot take his eyes off Amaya who was shooting arrows for round 3 of her practice. This ti the targets were moving twice as fast as before.

"I know," Prince Ibarra replied.

"She could have been the best candidate for my queen."

Ibarra’s gaze turned hostile. He smiled politely to mask it.

"You heard what my father said earlier. I thought the sa. We cannot let Amaya marry yet as she is still too young. We owe her a lot, even I will not give her hand into marriage." Prince Ibarra glanced at Amaya who went to the targets together with Donello.

He smiled when he saw the doting look of Amaya while he was talking to his son. They looked like brother and sister, compared to Donello and Danella.

"I understand." was Ralden’s short reply.

While Amaya was busy talking to Donello and explaining to him, how to hit a moving target, King Ralden saw a distinguished-looking man with a powerful aura walking toward Amaya and Donello. His strides were steady and confident. He looked different and he stood out among the Lireyan who were in the training ground. Ralden has to admit, that the man was really handso. If he was a woman, he definitely is smitten by him.

"Marx, you ca."

Ralden’s lips twitched when he heard how Amaya called Marx intimately. ’So he is Marx Skylar, the famous CEO who conquered the business world at the young age of 22. What is he doing here?’

"Of course. I am supposed to bring you back earlier but I have an important call"

"Hmm.. you did not hit all the targets?" Marx looked surprised.

"The target is moving and it was a bit fast." Amaya looked aggrieved.

"Hey, Aya I am not reprimanding you. Don’t look at

like that. You hit a lot bullseye."

"Would you like to try?" Amaya was excited. She had not seen Marx use the bow and arrows when they were in Miraga.

"Okay, but don’t laugh at

when I fail."

Amaya pulled Marx by the hand and led him toward Ibarra, Ralden, and the three princesses who were sitting not far away.

Zanzara looked at Marx for a long ti. She still had a crush on him. He was much better than the King of Ra-Iya but he does not have any title at all. She cast a furtive glance to the king and her heart skipped a beat when he saw him studying her. ’Did he notice that I have a crush on Marx?’

King Ralden noticed that when Marx arrived at the training ground, the three granddaughters of King Duncan could not take their eyes off the man.

He was furious. Are young people nowadays really like this? They changed whom they liked in a blink of an eye. He felt insulted and he forget to take hold of himself. A murderous aura perated from his body.

Zanzara felt sothing was wrong so she asked. "Are you okay, Your Majesty?" she asked tentatively.

King Ralden retracted his murderous aura and turned gentle. "You know the man who is walking beside Amaya?" he asked in a gentle tone.

"Yes. That is Marx Skylar. His plane crashed in the island of Miraga. He t my cousin there and he was the one who brought Amaya back from the island.

"I see." He nodded.

Amaya curtsied before Prince Ibarra and King Ralden. "Marx, this is His Majesty, King Ralden from Ra-Iya." Amaya turned to King Ralden and introduced Marx briefly.

"The king is here to talk about an alliance and is proposing a marriage," Amaya said matter-of-factly.

Marx stiffened.

His reaction did not escape the eyes of King Ralden.

"And who is the lucky lady who caught the attention of the King of Ra-Iya?" Marx looked the king in the eyes. He realized that he hasn’t introduced himself.

"It is my honor to et you, Your Majesty." He did not bow as he was not his subject but he extended his hand for a handshake.

King Ralden did not take the outstretched hand. Mark did not feel embarrassed at all. The King sized him up. His gaze move from his head to his toe and it moved back to his face. Marx has exquisite features making girls fawn over him.

When the king was examining him, Marx could feel the killing intent emanating from the king but he shrugged it off.

After the brief introduction, Marx went back to the training ground and used Amaya’s bows and arrows to hit the target. It was a moving target. Marx took an arrow. He released it when he felt that the ti is right.

He did the sa for the rest of the arrows. His movent was very fluid and he looked very manly when he was playing with the arrow.

Amaya happily jogged back to the targets and checked them one by one. She did not expect Marx was good in Archery. She took the targets and brought them to Marx.

"Your archery skill is aweso Marx! Don’t tell

you will continue to hide and not take in a student. Where and When did you learn archery?

"I used to be an Olympiad champion but that was a long ti ago, back when I was in college."

"Do you think I should join the Olympics?" Amaya asked dreamily. She heard about Olympics when so of the students were discussing Olympic Records.

"Why not? If you are consistently hitting bullseye then you can join the Olympics." Marx spoke in a gentle tone.
