[^_^]:Can you co up, ys?
Qian Qi: ?
What’s this ssage?
She returned the call, but no one answered; she tried several tis but still couldn’t get through. A bad premonition rose in her heart, and she imdiately threw on a coat and dashed out the door.
As she rushed out, she had to brake suddenly. She didn’t have the room card for Nangong Yan’s room, and going to the staff could waste a lot of ti. So she quickly returned to her room, opened the living room window, and looked up.
Nangong Yan’s presidential suite was just above her, two rooms per floor, with separate staircases. Seeing that Nangong Yan’s window was not closed, she imdiately used her Speed Charm Skill to swiftly leap onto the upstairs window ledge.
With another leap, she landed and saw an unconscious man lying under the sofa. Qian Qi paused for a mont before rushing over to help him.
She was shocked to discover the man’s body was as hot as a roasted yam.
"Fever?"
Qian Qi scratched her head in confusion, trying to comprehend how Nangong Yan, who appeared quite normal that afternoon, suddenly had such a serious fever.
Should she go buy so fever dicine?
Or take him directly to the hospital?
After a mont’s hesitation, Qian Qi decisively carried Nangong Yan towards the window, glanced at the bustling street below, and was about to jump onto the window ledge when the man behind her slowly opened his eyes and croaked, "No... hospital."
"Then what do we do?" Although Qian Qi learned so fever-reducing knowledge while taking care of children in an orphanage, but...
She couldn’t just strip Nangong Yan to cool him down!
"Cold..." The man’s consciousness seed fuzzy, with his fevered cheek resting on Qian Qi’s shoulder. A drop of sweat trickled down her neck, cold enough to send a shiver through her.
Nangong Yan seed to be dreaming of sothing, starting to mumble in broken words. His pained and struggling expression during the nightmare stripped him of his aggressive aura, leaving only a pitiful frailty and vulnerability.
"Don’t... hit ... Brother..."
The burning body slightly trembled, Qian Qi’s pupils contracted slightly, and she tightly clenched her fist.
Did Nangong Xu... hit him?
Qian Qi didn’t believe Nangong Xu could beat Nangong Yan now, nor did Nangong Yan seem like soone who would be bullied to such a fearful state even in nightmares.
Then... was it from before?
Qian Qi didn’t know, nor did she want to ddle in other people’s family affairs, just as she didn’t involve herself in Sikong Wang and Sikong Lin’s affairs, or later Su Ang and Su Xingchen’s, and now she wouldn’t interfere with Nangong Yan and Nangong Xu’s.
She took a deep breath, slamd the window shut, and turned into the bedroom, tossing Nangong Yan onto the bed.
"You’d better get over this fever fast; I have plenty to do after visiting the lab. Don’t waste my ti, damn it."
Throwing down these harsh words, Qian Qi rummaged through the cabinet and took out a temperature gauge and fever dicine from the found first aid kit.
She gave Nangong Yan the fever dicine and waited for an hour, seeing that it barely worked, Qian Qi scratched her head in frustration and picked up a towel and so alcohol from nearby.
"Hey, Nangong Yan, can you move on your own?"
Qian Qi’s voice was loud, yet Nangong Yan couldn’t hear. He was deep in an endless nightmare, unable to respond, with sweat beads rolling down his eyes like tears, soaking a large part of the pillow.
The pristine white sheets were already gathered in countless wrinkles from the gripping of those long hands. Clear and distinct finger bones showed a pale blueness, and his bloodless lips murmured in agony, "Don’t eat ... It hurts..."
The tightly closed eyebrows were dispersed with endurance, with his fragility fully exposed, causing Qian Qi to montarily fall silent.
What on earth was he dreaming about?
Qian Qi felt a hint of terror, looking at the towel in her hand, she finally sighed and dampened it with alcohol, then unbuttoned Nangong Yan’s shirt.
In unbuttoning, his collarbone was revealed, causing Qian Qi’s pupils to shrink once more, not from being enchanted by the man’s alluring collarbone, but out of fright.
Realizing sothing, she abruptly unbuttoned all of Nangong Yan’s shirt buttons. As the thin shirt was pulled aside, it seed to remove the man’s last veil of sha, exposing a network of complex, shocking scars that painfully stabbed at Qian Qi’s eyes.
These weren’t simple scars but almost like a spider web covering the entire chest. As her gaze wandered side to side and lowered, it spread to more areas that she couldn’t see.
