The demigods wrinkled their faces again upon hearing Andrew’s words, not only because he was treating them as if they needed him, which was true, but because their pride did not allow them to accept it, and he dared to call Crhono by his na.
Andrew paid them no attention and simply left his desk and sat next to Crhono, who was the head of the office, on the sofa, proving that he was the one in charge of this place. The self-centered demigods were not amused by his behavior and now they did not look favorably on him, but Andrew did not care about offending them. It was all part of the plan.
Furthermore, Crhono had already told him that, although these demigods were valuable allies, he should not lower himself. Andrew understood this very well. Certainly, in seniority and strength, he is the lowest in rank, but if we talk about status, he really is superior.
Even though he was a non-combatant god candidate and was weak, he would be superior to them, as he was a future god. An awkward silence settled in the office and Samanuel was the one to break it.
"I think it is not necessary to play politics. Since everyone seems dismayed, I will be the first to speak," said Samanuel, looking around and setting his gaze on Andrew he asked, "Is it possible to speak with young Andrew separately?"
Everyone already knew Andrew’s na, as Crhono and the others did not hide it from him. Andrew was already prepared for this request, as Crhono had already told him that this could happen.
Even though they knew, Crhono told Andrew that he could do what he thought was appropriate, so Andrew looked at the angel and answered, "Is it necessary?", to which Samanuel replied, "Everyone here wants to discuss different issues and I think they do not want others to know what they talked about."
Andrew nodded in understanding and said, "Well, I understand that, but what does that have to do with ?" The question surprised them, but Andrew did not allow them to speak and added, "The guests are you. I do not know you, I am only receiving you at the request of my acquaintances."
They all looked at Andrew seriously. Actually, inside they were upset and looked at Crhono, as if to say, "Do not take this too far," but the old dragon just stood there drinking his tea.
Seeing that the dragon did not intend to intercede, Samanuel sighed and said, "I understand your point, but, Mr. Andrew, you will understand that it is advantageous for you to discuss things separately."
"I do not understand. How is it advantageous for to et with you when I do not know you?" Andrew replied instantly and Samanuel, without retracting, replied, "Well, you are before the oldest and most powerful beings on the continent. Surely we have sothing that interests you."
Although that was true, Andrew did not give it much importance. He had been observing them with his Eros’s eyes and had noticed that their auras did not reflect anything.
They showed no anger, no ill intentions, or even good intentions, there was nothing in their auras. Andrew understood that beings like these could deceive his inexperienced and incomplete eyes so he was not surprised.
At that mont, a light shone from Andrew’s body and the magnificence of Fluffy appeared. Seeing the beautiful fox girl appear, Crhono imdiately stood up, bowed slightly, and greeted, "Nice to see you again."
Everyone was surprised. Although those present were knowledgeable about the gods and candidates for gods, they were unfamiliar with divine beasts, so they did not understand who Fluffy was.
Their surprise was because of the respect that Crhono was showing. Zaros and Elidyr were the first to react and they also stood up and followed the example of the old dragon. They tried to see sothing special about the fox woman who had appeared, but they couldn’t sense anything from her. Fluffy is a kind of hologram, an astral projection, so she shows no power, which confuses everyone.
Samanuel who was the oldest and most knowledgeable after Crhono imdiately thought of a possibility and quickly stood up and paid his respects, "A pleasure to et the divine beast."
With her words, everyone understood who Fluffy was, although they didn’t know for sure what it ant to be a divine beast. Fluffy looked at those who greeted her and replied politely, "Ceremonies aren’t necessary."
The four who stood up smiled and sat back down, but at that mont Fluffy spoke again, "Ceremonies aren’t necessary, but education is another thing. You should at least greet."
Her last words were in a cold tone and focused on the other demigods who just looked at her. She was upset. If the demigods were upset when Andrew snubbed them one after another, Fluffy was upset to see that they treated her like soone unimportant.
Everyone noticed that but didn’t say anything, which upset Fluffy even more, but instead of throwing a tantrum she cald down and turning to look at Andrew said, "I think it’s okay to serve the angels."
Her words were unexpected. In a nutshell, he was saying that only angels would be served, and then they began to sweat coldly, as they did not expect the young lady who appeared to be so important.
At that mont, Crhono said, after taking a sip of tea, "The lady in front of you is Andrew’s divine beast companion. A goddess of beasts in the mortal world and Andrew’s soulmate."
That explanation was enough to make everyone scared. Although they did not know what a divine beast was, they understood that it was equivalent to a goddess, and being Andrew’s soulmate ant that it was his other half as a god.
Imdiately, everyone stood up and began to give excuses such as, "We are sorry for the lack of manners. We were unaware of the lady’s greatness," and the like, which caused displeasure in Andrew and Fluffy.
They also realized this, but they could do nothing, as they had already screwed up. Despite everything, Andrew said, "It’s okay. Licking soone’s ass after shitting doesn’t an anything."
Andrew’s foul words soured the demigods’ expressions, but Crhono laughed quietly in amusent. The demigods now regretted not taking Andrew seriously, but they still held out hope.
"I will attend to the angels today. The others can co tomorrow to discuss their matters. Elder Crhono, is it convenient for you to guide them?" Andrew asked without holding back.
The demigods scrunched up their faces, knowing that Andrew did not like them, but the fact that he agreed to see them later was already a gain, so they looked at the old dragon waiting for his answer.
"No problem," Crhono said, then looked at Zaros and Elidyr who understood and stood up and said, "Since Mr. Andrew will not receive you today, let us return to the mansion."
Although reluctant, the demigods stood up and said goodbye respectfully, trying to improve their image in front of Andrew, but he paid them no attention. Now only Crhono, Samanuel, the other two angels, and Andrew remained.
Fluffy had already left, so he was not present. "So?" Andrew asked, and Samanuel did not mince his words. He explained the situation of the angels’ decline and that he wanted to know if he had a thod to solve the birth problem.
Andrew looked at Crhono who only nodded and then at Samanuel and said, "I have a thod, but why would I give it to you?" to which Samanuel replied, "Asking for sothing out of goodwill is not appropriate, but if you need sothing, just na it."
