Ariana walked down the stairs and went to the kitchen to find Casey standing there with a cupcake with a candle inside.
"Happy birthday I know that the people inside the packhouse are not going to celebrate your." Casey said giving her a side hug.
"Thanks a lot Casey, you don't know how much this ans to . My own parents don't want , my family hates , this pack hates ." Ariana replied appreciative
"I hope you find your mate."
"I don't want to have any hopes since everyone in this pack hates my guts and wants dead, I don't know if my mate will accept ."
"You never know, your mate might start treating you right given that you are were all his better half."
"Whatever you say."
They started to make breakfast and since today was Hunter's birthday, they has to make all his favourite food. After they finished they laid the food on the table and everyone started coming one by one.
"Ariana don't you know we don't want to see your face on this day." The Luna said and slapped her.
"Get lost will you." Ariana mother said and pushed her hard that she feel to the floor.
"I wish she just dir so we can be free from this burden." Ariana's brother said and kicked her in the stomach, knocking out air out of her lungs.
"I don't want her to spoil Hunter's birthday with her presence." Ava said while fixing her make-up.
With that being said she walked out of the door. Since ideas early for school she decided to go to a cafe since she left without eating not that it would make a difference to them. She was certain that if she were to die they would be happy, as they say they would be getting rid of their burden.
She took a bus, everyone in the pack has their own car except her. She really ant nothing to this pack except her grandmother who only few months to live, ever since her mate, Ariana's grandpa died she has just been weak. When her grandfather was alive he used to call his strawberry because of her hair and the fact that she looked alot like his mate.
Out of all the grandchildren be had, Ariana was his favourite and he was just sad the way his son and daughter inlaw treated Ariana trash, even when she was their own blood.
Hunter walked down the stairs and saw that the house was decorated and his favourite food was laid at the table.
"Happy birthday Baby!" Aha said and stood on her toes to give him a kiss.
Today was the day that Hunter would find his mate and he wanted Ava to his mate, but he was disappointed when she didn't turn put to the one for him. She his girlfriend after all, she was everything that he wanted in a mate. She was beautiful.
They sat down and Casey started to serve them, they started to eat the food. Everyone knew that it was Ariana's birthday as well, but no one made an effort to wish her. What they could do for her to leave their lives so that it was just them with no burdens to carry.
Ariana arrived at school 1 hour before school starts, she just walked straight to the place where she always find solitude which was the library.
Hunter's POV
I was disappointed that Ava was not my mate she was everything that I wanted in a mate, she was strong and she would have made a perfect Luna and everyone in the pack loves her. I walked to my car, got in and drove to school.
When I arrived I slled the most magnificent scent that I have ever slled like ever. "Follow the scent." I heard my epld say and honestly this is the first ti that he sounds so excited, so I obliged and followed to where the scent was coming from.
"Dude where you going?" I heard Brad ask.
"I'll be right back." I said and walked on the direction of the library. I opened the door and my eyes t Ariana she was sitting and reading a book.
"Mate!" I heard her mutter.
Fuck! No! Why should I be stuck with a nobody for the rest of my life. Is this a fucking joke or what, like hell she was such a loser. She is a fucking nerd and to top it all up nobody in this pack like her, hell even her own parents hate her.
She was zero my type, what did I do that I have to be stuck with her I don't even want to link my na next to hers.
Ariana's POV
I heard the door of the library open and the thing that I dreaded the most happened. Hunter stood and I heard my wolf say mate inside my head.
"Mate" it ca out as a whisper but more like a question to my wolf. He just stood there looking at , and i was just waiting for him to reject . Seriously I knew that he would reject . I looked at him and waited but nothing ca put, he just turned and left the library.
