"Due to heavy storms in the North, flights to Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Huntsville will be delayed.
Flights to California and Nevada will also be delayed due to heavy storms appearing over New xico.
Flight paths will be rerouted, so all passengers should ..."
Seated in the VIP lounge of the prestigious airport, I listened to the announcent coming from the speakers of the airport, drinking from a glass with a straw.
To my left, dressed in a black skirt that stopped just before her knees and a clean white shirt, Nadia sat on a couch, eyes focused on a laptop resting on the glass table in front of her.
Yeah, I was back in Houston, Kerville city now several miles away from , and as I sipped my orange juice, I wasn't sure how to feel about my excursion to the place.
In my books everything had initially gone well, but then Wanda had died.
Getting my hands on Mirah was a far greater find than discovering an oil field, but then oil fields didn't have emotions and you could make use of them at a mont's notice.
Mirah wasn't with . She refused to follow to Los Angeles.
No, she hadn't left and it could be proved by the intense fuck we had in the late night of the previous day.
"Christ, the ripples of her ass!!"
For soone who quickly made a decision on leaving her lifelong career for , she was taking too long in accepting the idea of a Harem.
I knew better what her true worry was and confronted her about it.
Mirah tried to be dodgy, but she owed a full-on explanation and in the end things devolved into ... I don't know how to describe it, sigh.
Pushing away thoughts of Mirah for what might be the 7th ti this morning, I turned back to Nadia, a smirk appearing on my lips.
Nadia felt my gaze and looked up, my grin widening as I looked into her eyes, and calmly, she smiled.
"Is there a problem, sir?"
"No, just admiring your work ethic."
"Thank you, Sir."
"Hmm.
Say, you wouldn't happen to know any spell that could make us fly, or better yet teleport, would you?"
"No." Nadia looked at weirdly.
"I see." I slightly chuckled.
After gallivanting in Kerville, looking into avenues and dabbling in matters she had no business with, Nadia was now trying to cover up the work she had abandoned.
I didn't fuck her ass that night.
Who knew she would run to her ntor seeking help.
In the end Denise had convinced to postpone her punishnt, and here we were waiting for the last-minute checkups on our jet to be done so we could fly.
I was not one of the common citizens. It would take more than a few thunderstorms and dark clouds to ground .
"If I can find Hontas and get her to work for , my mobility would soar to a whole other level."
While I let myself slip into a bit of wishful thinking, a man in an exquisite black suit let himself into the room, and he walked to my side, slightly bowing.
"Sir, sorry to inconvenience you, but there is a matter I would like to make you aware of."
The man to my side was the manager of George Bush airport and Nadia imdiately looked up from what she was doing, paying attention to our conversation.
"What is it?"
"The Governor of New York has a favour to ask of you.
His daughter, Lisa Benedict, has a matter to urgently attend to in Los Angeles.
Flights to New York are indefinitely delayed and the two other jets present in the airport have been booked."
After the first two words my expression had turned unreadable, and when the man finished talking and silence descended, Nadia took over in the silence.
"Are we the first people he's asking?"
"You're the only ones. The other two jets are heading North."
"We'll host her. Tell her she's welco."
My words ca suddenly, the smile on my lips surprising the two people.
"Thank you, Sir."
While the manager departed, Nadia focused on .
"You know her."
"Yes, I t her a while back just after the inheritance.
It was at the beach. We didn't get to talk much, just so morable situation."
Nadia looked at sceptically, so I waved my hand.
"It was just a casual et. She only knows my na.
It's possible she doesn't even rember ."
Nadia's doubt didn't fade, but she nodded and stood up, departing the room.
A few minutes passed and two individuals made their way into the room. The manager wasn't among them, it was just Nadia and Lisa.
In the spirit of politeness, I stood and turned to welco the guest, the smile on my face warming.
For the first seconds, her expression was curious, then it narrowed.
"You!!"
From the side, Nadia shot a look but said nothing, moving to the side.
"Hello Lisa, it's nice to see you again."
The girl's lips twitched, eyes looking at from head to toe.
"So, I'm supposed to travel with you," she said warily.
"Yes. Is there a problem with that?"
Lisa did not answer. She turned her head, her black hair waving behind her, and looked at Nadia.
"Do you know he's a pervert?"
"What did he do?" Nadia calmly asked.
"He walked around on the beach pretending to be blind, seeking pity from won and taking advantage of them."
"That's not entirely correct.
Your beauty caught my eye, and I thought pretending to be blind was the only way I could get your attention.
Lisa, because of your rejection, I nearly drowned.
It is only because of your kindness, qualities which I saw, that I am still alive."
Lisa wanted to rebuke , but her lips paused, her forehead scrunching as my words got to her.
"Back then you said it wasn't because of ."
"I was too ashad of myself. How could I tell you the truth?
After you stord away, I had soone help find out your identity. I wanted to properly apologise and get to know you, but who would have thought the person would run away with my money."
