This was the highest I had ever been in my life. As I soared over the roads below, heading for the top of a smaller neighboring story building, a mix of fear and excitent crept into my heart.

"I wish I could fly."

Descending was when the wind blew strongest, and the world seed to contain only , but it was also the most worrying ti.

The building I was falling toward wasn't even up to 13 stories. After a second, when my feet finally landed on its rooftop, I rolled hard, crazily absorbing the heavy instantaneous potential energy, and rose to my feet the next mont.

There was a bit of numbness in my body, especially in my bones, but nothing that could stop from steadily walking away from the landing.

Echo!!

Descending from the smaller building was no task. Circling around, dodging the gazes of pedestrians, I eventually stepped into a black SUV backed up in an alley, surprising the driver.

"Sir."

Giggs looked behind, staring up and down. His eyes went to the female body I entered with, then darted around warily.

"You ca back."

Though he quickly regained his composure and asked the question with a neutral expression, I could still perceive the relief in his tone. I shook my head.

Giggs probably thought I had kidnapped soone we could interrogate for information before fully storming the building—and he was both right and wrong.

"Not exactly.

Echo!!

Has anything happened since I was gone?"

While questioning Giggs, I looked toward the Quintell Abulak, impressed by how perfectly traffic was flowing in and out of it.

I thought of the n and won at the auction and the residents within. A few thods ca to mind on how their mouths could have been shut about the ongoing situation.

No outsider was the wiser about the bloody battle happening on its top floor—not even Giggs, who had anticipated the possibility of chaos.

My question made Denise's personal guard frown, the man debating whether to inquire further. Then, before our eyes, two vans drove up and parked in front of the Quintell Abulak.

From the vans, a dozen n in blue suits carrying black bags stepped out and headed into the building.

This scene attracted several gazes and brought up whisperings, but the calm, unbothered paces of the n left everyone clueless.

It was clear these n were professionals, and I hurried my knight on its journey.

"Sir, did sothing happen in the building?"

"Yes. There is currently a brutal battle happening at the top."

Seeing go silent and give no further information, Giggs nodded.

"Staying here, we could attract attention. Do I drive away?"

"No, stay put."

While Giggs nodded in confirmation, my attention was neither on him, the n marching into the building, nor my fallen knight.

Instead, it was on a particular room on the 33rd floor.

Echo!!

Continuous use of this technique had improved my capability with it.

Not only could I now use it to an extent while on the move, but more importantly, I could play it for ten whole seconds.

This feature was draining, though. Considering I had just used Malevolent Shrine, I could only stick to receiving 3D images for now.

Suddenly, up in the sky, the sound of two helicopters roared out, catching a few gazes.

The helicopters hovered over the Quintell Abulak, circling it. Then soon after, there was an explosion from within the building—this explosion taking out a small chunk of its side.

Overall, no significant structural damage had been done to the building, but this event let everyone below know that chaos had erupted within the Quintell Abulak.

Aside from causing a small panic on the streets below—probably filled with people still traumatized by 9/11—another thing that happened was that the elusive, mysterious lady appeared on my radar.

I picked up on the female after she left her room, and while it struck that the room itself had most definitely had a hand in concealing her presence, as I saw her face, I suddenly found myself possessing a certain set of mories.

"Sarah and Emily."

Of course, Sarah had been sent out of the room, while Emily had been stripped naked afterward.

Emily was the naked woman in the room, and with how seamlessly the mory appeared in my head, I would have believed the fact had simply slipped my mind—if I hadn't actively scraped my brain for a clue about the woman earlier.

"Is she also powerful?"

As much as I could see reasons to now pursue and kill Emily, I rembered my earlier conclusion about her having a much higher ntal stat than .

I didn't rule out the possibility that this stat also reflected her overall strength.

Several minutes passed, my mind straining as I kept watch over the entire Quintell Abulak. Then, with a tight smile on my face, I gave instructions.

"Drive."

Looking at the apparently tumultuous building, then back at with so hesitation, Giggs started the car and drove out of the alley. The vehicle roared as it accelerated down the street.

"Take a left."

My command ca suddenly and late, causing Giggs to make a sharp turn, a few curses flying from bystanders nearby.

"Sir, are we chasing soone?"

"Yes."

"May I ask who?"

"Go left."

Once again, Giggs took another sharp turn, this ti to the left.

"Right, and go faster," I commanded again after so minutes. Then, out of nowhere, I told him,

"Stop."

Having been keeping an eye on the road, Giggs was able to clear it easily and bring the car to a stop. As I stepped out, I called him along.

"Look up." I closed my door and took a step forward.

The driver's door already open, Giggs quickly stepped out of the car and looked where my gaze was fixed. His eyes widened.

"Is that what I think it is?"

"Yes. A witch."

As n with experience dealing with witches, the sight of one of these dangerous females in the air shouldn't have astonished us—unless there was sothing truly special about this one. And there was.

"How is she moving so fast?"

My knowledge of a witch's speed in the air, riding a broom, was limited to what I had seen from Bettany.

Fast as a car, yes—but nothing near a vehicle's upper limits.

At this mont, Emily, who turned out to be a witch, had jumped out of the building, fearlessly ran across rooftops, and then taken to the sky on her broom.

Rising high into the air, she was now shooting through it at a speed that left a white trail behind her. She was going at the minimum speed of a jet.
