Hisssss!!
From what looked like an empty space in the hall, the air—no, space itself began coiling and writhing as though reality were being rewritten. Then it stabilized to reveal a lady dressed in tight purple leather, wearing a black face mask and carrying a purple snake that curled around her neck.
The lady's sudden appearance stunned the n on the ground, causing them to leap to their feet, but I wasn't going to stand for that.
"Who said you could stand?"
My words went through the n like an electric shock, and they imdiately collapsed to their knees, looking up at pleadingly.
These six elites could no longer think for themselves. Their instincts led them now.
"You've broken them. You might as well have just killed them," the snake lady said, her arms crossed, not the least fear or wariness in her eyes.
"You should be more worried about yourself. Are you talking, or should I kill you?"
The snake lady was right, I had broken the six Black Elites. The only threat left in this basent was her.
"Go ahead."

I didn't hesitate. A gun appeared in my left hand and I imdiately fired bullets at her.
As I acted, I expected the woman to move. Instead, she remained still, while the snake on her neck rose, lifting part of its body into the air and baring its fangs at .

From just the snake's hiss, the space in front of the snake lady wobbled. My bullets struck it like they'd hit a wall of extra-dense water. At the sa ti, from that hiss ca a high-pitched frequency that caused pain to shoot through the air.
A sharp pain ran through my head and that was all. But for the six elites...

Two heads exploded in a shower of blood, while the other four fell to the ground, blood running from their eyes, ears, and noses.

This thought had just barely registered in my mind when the snake, which had been hissing all this while, suddenly shot forward, uncoiling from around its mistress's neck and lunging straight at .
The creature still had its mouth wide open, and just as I considered grasping its neck with my hand, it expanded to more than ten tis its original size and flicked its tongue at .

The unexpected maneuver sent flying through the air, slamming into the wall on my left.
For a few seconds, I was plastered high against the wall before I pushed off and fell to the ground.
While strong, the hit had caused no real damage. I had just taken my first step toward the woman when my body suddenly weakened and I cautiously stopped moving.
"What is wrong with ?" I wondered to myself.
"You've been poisoned."
A voice echoed in my head like it could read my thoughts.
I wanted to think it was the system talking to , but not only did it never speak to , I saw no reason why it would speak with a hisssss.
"I'm guessing by you," I said out loud.
Not deigning to answer, the snake lady began moving toward in her high black boots. I let out a chuckle before bursting toward her.
Unbothered, her snake uncoiled from around her neck once more, looking to repeat its earlier technique but this ti, I was ready.
"Spell Breaker."
That snake had expanded far beyond its natural size. Only a spell could make that possible, visually or ntally.

My first shot ended the snake's expansion technique, forcing it to contract back to its mistress's neck. The second shot was aid directly at the slippery creature, but even without its owner's input, it refused to be so easily killed.
From the serpent's body, a purple barrier flickered into existence and protected it from my shot.
By this point, the snake lady had co to fully understand that her serpent was no match for . But instead of retreating and reassessing my threat, arrogance saturated her entire being. She shot forward, her eyes filling with concentric circles.
"I am your mistress."
The voice of the snake lady echoed within my head, a force accompanying her words, trying to subjugate my thinking faculties.
After facing Bettany's illusions, I had only one word for the snake lady's attempt:
"This is pathetic."
Undeterred, I raised my shotgun and let another round fly.
This was the third shot. It was supposed to hit the female square in the chest and end her.
What I didn't expect, though, was for the snake on her neck to shoot out and tank the attack. Unfortunately for the loyal creature, there were consequences.
While its purple barrier was able to lessen the force of my bullet, damage was still done.
Purple blood flew from its breached scales, and while its owner let out a cry finally realizing her fallacy, I let loose another shot.
This was my fourth shot, and what happened next left stunned.
Understanding the danger she was in, when my fourth shell launched, the snake lady hurled the injured body of her pet snake at it, protecting herself as she rapidly retreated to make distance from .
For several seconds, only the heavy breathing of the snake lady filled the empty basent.
Injured and unable to put up another barrier to protect itself, my fourth shot completely tore apart the reptile's body, scattering its remains into several pieces.
The head of the creature, sohow still intact, landed at my feet. I couldn't help but look down, staring into the dead serpent's eyes, then look up at the woman.
"Who among you is the real snake?"
"A snake puts itself first above and before all. It forgot its nature and let emotions get in the way. I am the true snake."
The snake lady had no remorse on her face as she spoke. In fact, pride burned in her eyes and when she was done speaking, a sense of peace washed over her and then the nature energy in the surroundings began rushing into her.
"Ichor," I muttered.
Boom!
The snake lady seed to have beco saturated now the energy in her was blasting out.
