Larry hissed in fury, and for a mont, he didn’t speak. Raven could imagine the level of anger he was feeling.

"Honestly, I’m disappointed, Larry." Raven taunted him more, "You really sent these sisses to catch . I took them all out in under five minutes; you should do better."

"I’ll catch you." Larry’s voice ca, "And when I do, I’ll make you regret ever ssing with ."

"Not if I get to you first." Raven scoffed, "Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that searching for is aningless, you can’t find no matter how hard you try. I’m everywhere and nowhere."

"We’ll see about that." Larry snarled, "Your head will be my farewell gift to my sister."

Raven scoffed, "Aww, that’s flattering. Since my ssage is delivered, I gotta run. Oh, I nearly forgot, Millie is so pretty."

There was a pause.

Raven decided to taunt more, "And she looked really pretty in that gorgeous dress, such a sha, the drink spilled on it."

"That was you," Larry growled. It was more of a statent rather than a question.

"Like I said, I’m everywhere and nowhere." She replied sweetly, "See you soon, Larry. Be expecting ." Then her voice turned icy, "I’m gonna drive you crazy like I drove your sister. Oh and tell Millie to be careful. You don’t know what might happen. And like I said, I’m everywhere and nowhere."

And then she ended the call.

She handed the phone back to Donovan who was listening the whole ti. He was now more terrified of this bitch than he was a few minutes ago.

Donovan took the phone with trembling hands as he stared at Raven. Raven smiled at him.

"See? As easy as cake. We should have done this without harming those guys on the floor." Raven said, "Now get yours."

"What..."

A heavy punch from Raven landed on Donovan’s face, knocking him unconscious to the ground.

Raven stepped over the groaning bodies on the floor and moved to the door.

"It was really nice eting the Mob Gang." Raven said aloud, "Really nice."

And then she walked out through the door. The first guy Raven had encountered was still outside, clutching his balls.

"Thank you." She said to him, offering him a smile as she walked down the street.

Raven’s work phone rang, she stared at the screen to see it was from her boss, Larry.

She cleared her throat before answering in the angelic voice, "Yes, Mr Hopkins?"

"Where are you?" Larry’s icy tone ca.

"You told to visit Mob Gang before heading ho didn’t you?" She asked, "I’m on my way there right now."

"It’s no use, go ho!"

"Huh? But why Sir?" She asked. "I’m almost at Mob Street."

"Are you deaf? I said go ho!" He barked, "Just go ho!"

"O... okay, sir." Raven said in a shaky voice, "I’ll go ho, see you tomorrow."

The line went dead.

Raven smiled. He is scared. Yes, let him be. He should be.

Once out of Mob Street, she hailed a cab that drove her ho.

Adam Gates was ho making dinner when Raven arrived. Raven had told him to sit out on this one.

She felt she could handle Larry by herself, rather than involving him this ti.

He was setting the table but as soon as he heard the door beep open, he looked up and smiled.

"Well well. What do we have here?" Raven smiled, sitting on the table. "These look tasty."

"They are." Adam bragged, "You know my food is always the best."

"I dare not deny that." Raven giggled.

"Co on, grab a bite." Adam urged, sitting down himself.

He waited for Raven to take the first bite before he asked. "So how was your first day?"

"Well, it was fine." Raven said thoughtfully, "He’s similar to his sister. They’re both... unhinged, even after all these years."

Adam’s eyes averted to the scratch on Raven’s arm, he sprang to his feet and grabbed Raven’s arm, "What the hell happened to you?"

"Oh, this, I got into a fight with the mob he gathered to search for ."

"What? You were in a fight, and you didn’t think to let know?"

"Hey, it’s okay." Raven said, a little surprised, "It’s no big deal; it’s just a scratch."

"No, it’s not!" Adam retorted frustratedly, "You’re so careless! Ugh!"

He ran off to his room and ca back with an ointnt, then he began to apply it on her, "Stay still." He commanded.

For so reason, Raven didn’t protest. She sat still and watched Adam apply the ointnt.

Her eyes were fixated on his hand as he applied the ointnt. Raven began to notice how big, masculine, and hairy his hands were. She gulped.

Her eyes trailed to his face. His dark blonde hair was just resting on his eyebrows and his gray eyes focused on Raven’s skin.

It was the first ti that she truly noticed how handso Adam was. She had never seen him beyond a great friend who had helped her escape suicide, even though she didn’t know him at the ti.

Even though it’s been ten years of their friendship, Raven had never seen him shirtless, despite living in the sa penthouse as him.

For the first ti, she wondered what his abs were like.

Were they like Larry’s? Or more sexier?

She shook her head. Pure thoughts Raven, pure thoughts.

But she couldn’t help but trailing her eyes back to Adam’s face.

Damn! He’s so handso! Raven thought. Look at his smooth face! His lustrous hair! Damn, look at those lips... what if I kissed them? Huh? No! What am I thinking? I can’t kiss them! Adam is my friend! Nothing beyond that! Why am I getting these thoughts?! What’s gotten into ?!

Her heart began to pound uncontrollably. For the first ti, she began to see Adam as a man.

"There, all better," Adam said, staring deep into her eyes.

Raven stared back into his eyes and saw nothing but deep affection there.

It was then she noticed.

Adam likes ? Since when?

She felt hot and began to flush. Then she quickly sprang to her feet.

"What’s wrong?" Adam asked startled.

"Uh..." She stumbled for words. "I gotta go to bed."

"What?"

"Larry requires my presence very early in the morning tomorrow."

Then she stord off to her room, shutting the door behind her. She leaned against the door, clutching her bosom.

I can’t fall for Adam! He’s my friend.
