"My god!"
"What is that!?"
From a helicopter flying overhead, dia personnel captured the scene and broadcasted it live to the world. Those watching at ho could see it clearly—a giant steel wire net covering all of Tokyo, its countless strands descending from the sky, turning the city into a colossal birdcage.
"What did you do!?"
A sinking feeling hit Mirio as he glared at Midoriya Izuku and demanded an answer.
"Obviously, it’s my backup plan. You didn’t really think I’d only prepare one option, did you?"
Midoriya’s voice was calm as the steel wire net covering Tokyo began to move. It twisted and coiled as if alive, closing in from the outskirts toward the city center. Anyone who failed to escape in ti was instantly trapped and strangled by the wires.
"What the hell is happening!?"
"Run!"
Panic spread among the pro heroes. So tried to break through the wires, but no attack had any effect. Worse, the net retaliated, imdiately binding those who struck it.
No one knew how this net worked, and they couldn’t break through it. Left with no other choice, they could only flee toward the city center.
"The main purpose of ’Hell’s ssenger’ was to scare Tokyo’s civilians into evacuating. At the sa ti, it was a decoy to draw the heroes’ attention. After all, I’d never underestimate All Might and you."
"Of course, if ’Hell’s ssenger’ had successfully detonated, that would’ve been ideal—it would’ve saved so effort. But in the end, it doesn’t matter."
"The only thing I care about is the result. Whether it’s by detonating ’Hell’s ssenger’ or handling it myself... the thod is irrelevant."
The steel wire net covering Tokyo was fully deployed by Midoriya Izuku’s clones. Using Twice’s "Double" Quirk, he had replicated himself, creating a terrifying ability through repeated experints.
"Quirk Combination"—a technique once used by All For One, rging multiple Quirks into a single powerful ability. For example, during the Kamino battle, All For One had combined Quirks to generate overwhelming strength that nearly crushed All Might.
Now, Midoriya Izuku’s clones possessed only a few select Quirks: "Steel Wire," "Black Box," "Multi-Replication," "Enhanced Senses," "Iron Body," and "Super Regeneration."
Twice’s "Double" Quirk was unique—it could create a perfect copy of a person with identical combat abilities. However, when it ca to Midoriya Izuku, who had multiple Quirks, there was a limit. At best, Twice could only create clones with a few Quirks at a ti.
But for Midoriya, that was more than enough.
Through extensive testing, he had discovered a strategy—using his clone as the "core" while extending steel wires infinitely like tree branches. The result was a net covering all of Tokyo.
Technically, Midoriya could have deployed the net himself, but he needed to personally face All Might and Mirio. In the League of Villains, there was no one else who could take on those two.
So, he let Twice’s "Double" Quirk create a clone to execute the steel wire net plan. Unless soone found and destroyed the original clone acting as the "core," attacking the wires would be pointless.
anwhile, Midoriya himself was ready to confront the only two people who could stop him—All Might and Togata Mirio.
Additionally, the steel wire net wasn’t just a physical trap. It was directly linked to Midoriya Izuku himself. Soon, the real purpose of this plan would be revealed.
"You bastard!"
Realizing what Midoriya was about to do, Mirio couldn’t just stand by. No matter what, he had to find a way to defeat this most dangerous "enemy."
"One For All: Infinite Peration!"
Activating his ultimate technique, Mirio’s entire body dissolved into the air, rging seamlessly with the space around him. No one could sense his presence—his Quirk allowed him to phase into a different dinsion, making him completely untouchable. Even Midoriya’s wide-range, no-blind-spot attacks would be useless.
"This move again? Also, Sensei Thirteen, please stay quiet for now."
Togata Mirio, who had rged into the void with "Peration," and "No. 13," who was preparing to use a black hole to break through the steel wire network, were both in motion. But before No. 13 could act, Midoriya Izuku slightly curled his right finger, instantly binding the space hero with countless steel wires. He wasn’t going to let any unexpected interruptions ruin his plan.
At that mont, Togata Mirio, in his "Infinite Peration" state, launched an attack. Out of nowhere, an invisible force struck Midoriya Izuku like a hamr. He couldn’t sense where the attack ca from or when it landed—he had no chance to defend himself and was sent flying.
As he barely managed to steady himself mid-air, intending to reinforce his steel wire barrier and get a better sense of Amajiki’s surroundings, Mirio’s next attack ca without hesitation.
A heavy blow landed on Midoriya’s head, but with 60% of "One for All" activated, the impact wasn’t enough to cause serious harm. However, Mirio’s attacks weren’t stopping.
Just like during the battle in Kamino Ward, Mirio unleashed a relentless flurry of attacks, giving Midoriya no ti to think. Disappearing seamlessly into the space around him, "Lemillion" left no trace, making it impossible for Midoriya to properly defend himself—he could only endure the beating.
With another full-force strike, Midoriya Izuku took a massive blow to the chest, sending him plumting from mid-air. He crashed through a building before landing back at the giant crater caused by All Might’s earlier attack.
And right there, within that crater, was All Might himself. However, he was completely immobilized—restrained by countless steel wires in a crucifix-like position, resembling the suffering of Christ.
"Midoriya..."
Looking at the battered Midoriya Izuku, All Might wanted to say sothing, but the words wouldn’t co out. No matter what, he was now standing on the side of heroes, and there was no way he could show rcy to his "enemy."
"A hero has no limits! Even if a thousand or ten thousand hits don’t work, I’ll keep attacking a million tis!"
"I will never let your plan succeed!"
Mirio’s voice ca from sowhere unseen.
Midoriya Izuku simply closed his eyes and answered coldly, "I hope you’re not just saying that to sound cool."
"Then watch closely!"
Mirio launched another attack from the void. This ti, Midoriya, using his enhanced senses, finally detected the direction of the incoming strike. Though he could only get a rough idea and still couldn’t predict exactly when Mirio would attack, it was enough.
With his mind focused to the extre, Midoriya Izuku reacted the mont he felt the impact hit his body—he activated his long-planned trump card.
"Checkmate!"
His right hand slashed through the air, leaving a streak of silver light.
At the sa ti, behind him, a sudden burst of red spread through the air. In an instant, fresh blood poured down.
Togata Mirio appeared, materializing from the void. He clutched his abdon with his right hand, but the deep wound across his stomach kept gushing blood.
"You... how did you...?"
Staring at the gaping cut that revealed his internal organs, Mirio’s face was filled with shock. He had been in his "Peration" state, yet Midoriya’s attack had still landed, dealing him a severe injury.
"You were the one who told your weakness. Did you forget?"
Midoriya pointed to the cape on his hero costu.
At that mont, Mirio realized what had happened. A bitter smile spread across his face.
"I... lost."
As soon as he spoke, his body collapsed to the ground.
The wound on his abdon was deep—he had already lost too much blood. If left untreated, he wouldn’t last much longer.
"No... I just cheated, that’s all."
Midoriya shook his head, dismissing his own victory. He curled his right finger, sending steel wires to stitch up Mirio’s wound.
As a respected opponent and a true hero, Midoriya couldn’t let Mirio die here.
The decisive strike had been delivered using "Reaper Gloves." Midoriya had Kurogiri retrieve fibers made from Mirio’s own hair from the place where his battle suit was created. He then reforged them into steel wires and incorporated them into his equipnt.
Just as he had said—he had used an underhanded trick. But it was the only way he could defeat Mirio head-on.
"Now... it’s ti for the next stage."
