The Red Second Generation’s Abandoned Forr Wife (11)
Bai Weiwei showed a gentle smile, “Today is Grandpa’s birthday. I wanted to wear sothing good looking to wish Grandpa a happy birthday.”
Patriarch Su was happy. “Little Wei looks good in everything.”
Chen Wenfeng startled, “This is Bai Weiwei, that cut off, separated wife?”
Su Shian gave him a hard look, then walked to Bai Weiwei to sit down with Patriarch Su to chat for a while.
Patriarch Su announced the start of the feast.
Everyone ate and drank for a while, then the patriarch suddenly said: “Shian, when are you and Weiwei going to have a baby.”
There was a silence at the table.
Su Shian was about to open his mouth to ntion the divorce, but didn’t know anymore after he peeked at Bai Weiwei’s eyes.
Her expression was calm. Holding chopsticks in her hand, she had just picked up a vegetable, but sohow the food fell back into the bowl.
His words couldn’t help but change, “We’re still young, Grandpa.”
Patriarch Su: “Young is a good thing, ah. I am old. Yesterday when checking my body, the doctor said I have high blood pressure, excitent can easily cause cerebral hemorrhage. One day I will be gone. If I still can not see a grandson, I’m not reconciled.”
Su Shian: “Grandpa, you will live a hundred years.”
Grandfather Su patted the table, “How about this, isn’t your company going into overseas developnt? My side has resources and contacts. If you have a baby, I will imdiately give them all to you.”
Su Shian’s eyes instantly beca red.
Patriarch Su was very disapproving of his business, so he was always cracking down on him.
He developed it with extre difficulty. Business was his only dream. So in order to keep the company, he even took Bai Weiwei, this unflattering woman to marry.
For Grandfather Su, this opportunity was basically to approve of him. Afterwards the family’s resources would all be tilted toward him.
It was what he dread of.
Divorce? It was swallowed down again.
Bai Weiwei listened to their words and couldn’t help smiling.
She suddenly said, “Grandpa, I have sothing to say to you.”
Su Shian was nervous and indeed heard her flat voice co, “I and Shian have already di......”
Su Shian’s nerves were tight to the limit, when he heard ‘di’, imdiately shouted, “Decided to recite ‘Farewells on Grassland.’”
The scene was very quiet.
The corner of Bai Weiwei’s mouth twitched and she opened her mouth again.
Su Shian: “Grandpa, I forgot to recite the birthday poem. Lush grass on the plains, in one year, withers and thrives once each1.”
Bai Weiwei with the system: “......”
Patriarch Su was happy, “That sounded beautiful.”
Everyone at the scene imdiately clapped, “Ya, sounded beautiful.”
Laid trough, this family.
Bai Weiwei felt that she couldn’t hold it anymore and she got up and excused herself to the restroom.
Then expressionlessly touched up her makeup.
System: “There may be a real problem with the male lead’s brain.”
Bai Weiwei sighed, “You only just noticed?”
After gussying up, she turned around and saw Su Shian standing at the door.
He walked in, brows furrowed, “I have sothing to discuss with you.”
Bai Weiwei said, “Is it that you want to hide our divorce, until Grandpa gives you all the resources?”
Su Shian just imdiately said: “In fact, I haven’t gone to the Civil Affairs Bureau to file it. We are not divorced yet.”
Bai Weiwei suddenly smirked. Her watery eyes sparkled, there was a fierce flow of light.
She closed the distance to him in a few steps and looked up at him.
The small fair face just opposite him, dark hair fell to her shoulders, slight curls swaying.
She spat, “In your eyes, am I so cheap?”
Su Shian couldn’t help taking a step back.
She took another step forward. Her lips were gorgeous, there was even more water in her eyes and just then tears fell.
“Su Shian, how could I have been so blind as to be fond of you.”
