Quick Transmigration: Irresistible Beauty Chapter 273 273: The Gentle Psychiatrist (43)
Cheng Ying, at long last, displayed the evil side of him out in the open.
Even though he had sinned and made a ss of everything, he still brought his movents to a stop, looking deeply pious and humble. He held the young woman's fingers and kissed them as he asked her, "Can I?"
The young man would not proceed until he had her complete permission.
…
Cheng Ying never expected that it would be such a wonderful experience to leave everything under the control of another person. It felt just like he had completely let go of himself, and there was no longer any need to be concerned about or care about anyone's eyes or opinions. He rely had to kneel down at the knees of God with peace of mind and beco a loyal believer.
It was that simple.
The young man soon fell into a drowsy sleep. In his dream, he saw a boundless sea of grassland flowers, but there was no other life. It was so devoid of activity that it made him feel a little scared. But under the towering trees, a young woman with long hair that flowed down her back like an inky waterfall could vaguely be seen.
The white dress she was wearing appeared especially holy; it was very beautiful, divine, and adorned with intricate embroidery. The fabric of the dress even shone, as if it could radiate a light of its own.
When Cheng Ying strolled closer, he spotted countless evil spirits prostrating around God, but there was only one that had the potential to be saved from the many who were asking for redemption to be liberated from sin, error, and evil. And shortly thereafter, these evil spirits set off to tear each other apart, clamoring for bloodshed, and the filth they shed splashed onto the pristine grass.
All of this took place while God only observed all that occurred from above with indifferent eyes.
Dirty blood also spattered on him. Cheng Ying lowered his head and found that his hands were just like those of the demons around him. His blunt nails were now razor-sharp claws that could stab others. Yet his claws were even sharper than theirs.
It turns out that he also longs for redemption.
Cheng Ying was not able to count how many tis he had swung his sharp claws, but he only rembered that in the end, everything was silent; everything was no more. He was the only one left prostrated in front of God, and hence her eyes were all on him.
Then God placed a crown of steel thorns on his head.
His world soon blurred around him, as if it were slipping out of his fingers.
"Hmm..." Cheng Ying murmured as his eyes blinked half-awake. He slowly took in his surroundings.
"Have you woken up?" Yue Ran asked the young man, who had just stirred awake from his sleep.
Cheng Ying has now fully opened his eyes, still feeling drowsy as he had just woken up from his nap. In this blur of consciousness, Yue Ran's face vaguely overlapped with that of the aloof God in his dream. The God from whom he had been given a crown. The God who had provided him with the redemption that he so wished to have.
"Yes…" Cheng Ying answered blearily. "Sorry, but did I sleep for a long ti?"
"No, not really," Yue Ran responded with a light shake of her head. "How about you get up and join for the afternoon tea?"
"Okay," he found himself answering.
The young man nodded and stood up. He subconsciously turned his head to peer at a long chain attached to the red collar on his neck that led all the way upstairs to the room with a bloody red door.
Even though he was still physically a little unaccustod to the new appendage fixed on him, he had ntally, consciously or subconsciously, accepted this addition.
Cheng Ying did not think that there was anything strange or wrong about Yue Ran treating him like this. All he knew and was sure of was that he felt... at ease. He was at ease with this.
Even the collar resting on his throat felt extrely reassuring.
Yue Ran baked cookies by herself and fed the young man like one would feed a pet. Cheng Ying laid his head on her lap, rubbing against the palm of her hand like a pet, begging for more caressing. His actions made the young woman's hand feel a little itchy because of his head of hair.
At this ti, Yue Ran would happily part the fringe that hung over his forehead and kiss him on his temples.
The two spent ti like this until night fell.
During this period, Cheng Ying even lost all the bad habits he had in the past. He had completely forgotten his dislike and hatred for many things. He did not even feel that it was noisy when he listened to Yue Ran's laughter. He could even endure being blindfolded by Yue Ran, and he was only able to see darkness all around him.
This could happen only because of his trust in her.
He trusts Yue Ran. Very much so.
People often say that love can cure many ntal illnesses. Cheng Ying used to despise this saying because he did not even know or understand what love was. But now, he has changed his mind. Love is really a great thing, and with the addition of pain, it will drive him insane.
…
"Okay, I will take you back ho now," Yue Ran announced with finality.
The sky was steadily growing darker and darker. Yue Ran waved to the young man to motion for him to co closer to her.
The handso young man made his way up to her obediently. The young woman stretched out her hand to help him unlock the red collar wound around his throat. Cheng Ying sensed that he had already lost an appendage.
