Actually, she didn’t even count as a pet.

Ning Shu locked the door behind her, fearing that Yi Xiaodong might wander off and get lost.

She found an illegal internet cafe filled with the sll of cigarettes.

Ning Shu sat in a corner and started posting online under the title, “The Min Corporation’s Cooking Oil is Made from Corpse Oil.”

She claid the oil ca from fat taken from corpses at the morgue, making it much cheaper than vegetable oil or lard.

The Min family could have fun dealing with clearing up this baseless rumor.

Ning Shu registered an account and posted the rumor, but her IP address was fake.

Then she hacked into the corporation’s official website, defacing it with large words: “Shaless crooks, utterly heartless! Don’t your consciences hurt?”

Soon after, her post was deleted, but she didn’t care. She reposted it on a large forum.

All the while, she was using virtual IP addresses and wiping her digital tracks clean to avoid being traced. If the other side tried to investigate, they might still track her down.

This rumor about corpse oil was destructive enough to give Min Haochu a headache. He wouldn’t have ti to bother her for a while.

After finishing, Ning Shu paid a few yuan for her ti and left the internet cafe.

The entrustor didn’t have a phone, and there was no computer at ho either, so receiving information was slow.

She couldn’t keep going to internet cafes every day just to check for updates.

As Ning Shu walked down the street, she spotted a plastic bottle on the ground. Without thinking, she crouched down and picked it up—it could be sold for a few cents.

Ning Shu: …

She really wanted to move sowhere else to live, but the conditions didn’t allow it. If they moved, where would they live?

Ning Shu started thinking about ways to make a living. Becoming a doctor was out of the question—she was too young, had no certification, and it would be illegal. Making ointnts?

Who would buy her ointnts? Becoming a lawyer? She had no credentials for that either.

As for being a feng shui master, modern feng shui masters were mostly seen as frauds, and with her sallow complexion, she didn’t exactly look the part.

After thinking it over, Ning Shu realized that she might really be stuck collecting trash.

As she walked, Ning Shu kept her eyes peeled, picking up anything that could be sold for money.

In addition, she was looking for a new place to live. It wasn’t safe to stay where they were.

The aristocratic school was definitely out of the question. If she were to study, it would have to be at a different school.

When Ning Shu got ho, she said to Yi Xiaodong, “Xiaodong, let’s move. We can’t stay here anymore.”

Yi Xiaodong looked confused and a little scared. He asked, “Where are we moving to?”

Clearly, he was afraid of change and didn’t feel secure.

“I found a new place,” Ning Shu said with a smile. “There’s a river right outside the house, and you can paint a lot there.”

Yi Xiaodong didn’t have strong opinions. Whatever Ning Shu said, he would follow.

Ning Shu started preparing for the move. She had found a decent spot under a bridge. Living under the bridge wasn’t so bad.

There was an old, broken-down car under the bridge, rusted and covered in mud, with blown-out tires.

At least the bridge provided shelter from the rain. Ning Shu could clear out the car and turn it into a place to live.

She also decided that in the future, she would make it a habit to exchange for so of the world’s currency. Without money, every step was difficult.

There wasn’t much to take from the house, so Ning Shu stuffed two blankets into her pocket, and Yi Xiaodong held his drawing papers as they headed towards the bridge.

Ning Shu tidied up the broken-down car, making it just barely suitable for sleeping in. As for the kitchen, cooking outdoors would have to do.

In any case, she would rather die than return to that school. As for the principal, she could hardly take care of herself, let alone help him secure his position.

She might be able to manage on her own, but with Yi Xiaodong around, she had to ensure his safety.
