anwhile, over at the Trump Family’s main residence, things were far livelier.

Ethan pulled Olivia along and sat her down in front of Thomas. "Grandpa, Olivia ca especially today to see you."

Thomas stood with both hands resting on his cane. His eyes were sharp and lively, and a smile spread across his face. "My eyesight is still very good. You don’t need to tell —I can see that for myself."

"Grandpa, I brought so premium tea with today," Olivia said.

She placed the tea she had brought on the coffee table, and Thomas quickly replied, "We’re already family—there’s no need to be so polite. In just a few days, you and Ethan will be getting married. From then on, you’ll be part of the Trump Family."

"You’re right, Grandpa," Olivia said gently. "But you also said from then on. At least for now, I’m not yet a mber of the Trump Family, so proper etiquette still matters. Actually, the reason I ca today is because I wanted to ask when my parents might be able to co out. I’m not sure if you’ve thought of any good solutions."

The smile on Thomas’s face slowly faded. "Getting your parents out will be very difficult. Sophia has no intention of withdrawing the lawsuit, and on top of that, she has about an eighty percent chance of winning."

"Grandpa, I heard you have so connections," Olivia said softly. "Is there any way you could help?"

"I think about your parents every day," Thomas sighed. "If they could co out, they might even be able to attend your wedding in person. But right now, I truly don’t have any other options. If this drags on and you still don’t get married, everything belonging to the Morgan Family may end up in Sophia’s hands instead."

Olivia folded her hands neatly in front of her, wearing the obedient, well-mannered look of a good girl. Yet deep in her eyes, the coldness only grew stronger.

Sophia had been right all along. The man in front of her had never truly intended to get her parents out of prison.

What they wanted was simply everything the Morgan Family owned. Even her marriage to Ethan was nothing more than a temporary expedient—once the wedding was over, everything she had would beco theirs.

"Actually... there’s one more thing," Olivia said hesitantly.

Thomas nodded. "Go on."

"Grandpa, Ethan and I truly love each other. Our feelings for one another—you know that very well. But my father has only one child, an only daughter, which is . So I want to remain with the Morgan Family."

For a mont, Thomas didn’t quite understand. "Of course you’ll always remain part of the Morgan Family. You’ll always be the Morgan Family’s daughter."

"Grandpa, you misunderstood," Olivia said calmly. "What I an is, I’ll stay at my family ho—and Ethan will co to mine."

Marry into her family.

Thomas’s expression changed instantly. "What did you just say? You want Ethan to marry into the Morgan Family? Olivia, are you sure you didn’t misspeak? You’re an only child, and Ethan is the sole heir of the Trump Family. How could he possibly go to your family?"

Ethan, standing nearby, was equally shocked. Olivia had never ntioned anything like this to him before—why was she suddenly changing her stance in front of his grandfather?

"Olivia, why didn’t you tell about this?" he asked.

"Darling," Olivia said softly, "I only thought of it just now. You know how bad things are for the Morgan Family at the mont. Even with your family’s support, it’s still only a temporary solution. I don’t want the Morgan Family to collapse, but I also want my parents to have a grandson of their own. So... I want you to co to my family. Our love is unbreakable—you wouldn’t mind, would you?"

Thomas’s face darkened completely. "No. I absolutely will not agree to this. How could I let him go to your family? You know very well what the current situation is. The most I can do is try my best to get your parents out. The wedding date is set, even the invitations have already been sent out. And now you suddenly say there’s a change—how am I supposed to explain this to everyone? Besides, the Trump Family has only one grandson, Ethan. Olivia, you should at least consider our position carefully."

Olivia curled her lips into a smile and said, "Grandpa, I know you can’t bear to part with him. But think about it carefully—whether he cos to my family or I marry into yours, it’s essentially the sa. In the future, Morgan Group and Trump Group would beco one family. If we have children soday, I’m willing to have two—one to follow your family na, one to follow mine. That way, it benefits both sides. Isn’t that a good thing?"

Brandon, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke up. "No. Ethan is my only son. He cannot go to the Morgan Family. Olivia, at a mont like this, what are you trying to do—are you backing out?"

"Uncle, I never said I was backing out," Olivia replied calmly. "I’m simply reconsidering the original arrangent more carefully and sharing my thoughts with you. I’m absolutely not trying to deceive you or play tricks. I genuinely hope you’ll agree to my request."

She was doing this on purpose.

She knew full well they would never agree. She only wanted to test them—to see whether they were truly after the Morgan Group.

And it was obvious now. That was exactly the case. They had never truly wanted her as their daughter-in-law or granddaughter-in-law.

Even Ethan’s feelings toward her were no longer the sa. He had stopped loving her long ago.

Back when he chose Sophia for the sake of benefit, she should have realized he had already changed.

Being with her now was nothing more than a matter of convenience and benefit.

Though the Morgan Group was facing crisis after crisis, it had been operating for many years. The resources accumulated over ti were still there—it rely needed an opportunity to rise again, like the Eastern Mountains returning to power.

The Morgan Group was a massive piece of fat at—everyone wanted a bite.

With her father no longer in the company, all the responsibility had fallen on her and Paul.

If it weren’t for Paul, she couldn’t even imagine how the company would have survived—it might have declared bankruptcy long ago.

As for the people in front of her now, all their smiling faces were nothing but a facade, maintained purely for profit.

She truly had been foolish—so foolish to be deceived by Ethan so completely, still believing that he genuinely loved her.

"Olivia," Thomas said gently, "I know you and Ethan truly love each other, but I still hope you’ll think this through carefully. If you marry Ethan, you’ll be our daughter-in-law, and we’ll certainly treat you well. If Ethan ever treats you poorly, we’ll even help discipline him. Marriage is a serious matter—it’s not sothing to be taken lightly."

Olivia nodded slightly. "I understand. It was only a request. If Grandpa and Uncle and Auntie are unwilling, I won’t force it. After all, the person I love is Ethan. I want to spend my life with him. As for everything else, we can let fate decide."

She turned to look at Ethan beside her, his reflection filling her eyes.

Thomas let out a quiet sigh of relief. What Olivia had said earlier had truly put him in a difficult position. At a mont like this, nothing could be allowed to go wrong.

Olivia stood up obediently and said, "Grandpa, Uncle, Auntie, it’s getting late. I won’t disturb you any longer."

Suddenly, Ethan grabbed her hand and said affectionately, "Olivia, stay."

"No need," she replied softly. "I’ll head back first. In a few days, I’ll be your most beautiful bride."

She declined gently.

If the marks on her body were discovered... that would be disastrous.
