Capítulo 990: Chapter 566: Edict, Arrangents_4

The Martial Path has gradually regained its Yuan Qi. Although it is far from the peak of the Primordial Era, where it could rival the Immortal Path, it is no longer in the precarious state it once was.

Chu Zheng glanced around, sowhat surprised, as he did not see any sign of Yan Feng.

Following his senses, he arrived at the depths of the starry sky, at the central region of a Star Domain, where ti and space appeared abnormally distorted and stagnated.

This was a Space-Ti Forbidden Area, isolated by the Laws of space-ti.

Chu Zheng took a step into it, and the surroundings transford instantly, no longer the vibrant starry sky, but instead a strange, grayish space.

The air was thick and slow, the light dim, as if covered by a thick layer of dust, eerily silent.

The flow of ti here was much slower compared to the outside world.

Chu Zheng sensed briefly and confird that while a year passed here, a decade might have passed outside.

“So, that’s how it is…”

Understanding dawned upon Chu Zheng.

No wonder, with Yan Feng’s lifespan, even using many longevity-enriching techniques, it would be difficult to survive to later generations.

Being here was akin to increasing his lifespan tenfold.

But this act was akin to imprisonnt, a choice made out of helplessness and compromise.

By slowing down his own flow of ti, he could ensure a longer existence throughout the long ancient history.

At the center of this forbidden area, on a smooth, mirror-like black boulder, Yan Feng sat cross-legged.

He wore a gray Martial Robe, but his appearance was more tiworn than when Chu Zheng last saw him. His eyes were deeper, with a hint of seeing through life and death, almost to the point of emotional numbness.

The deadly Tao Tribulation Stick lay across his lap, and the dark red War Patterns pulsed faintly, as if breathing.

Noticing Chu Zheng’s arrival, Yan Feng slowly opened his eyes.

His gaze fell on Chu Zheng, his expression calm, without rising to greet him, or even offering any sign of courtesy.

“What brings you here?” His voice was flat and unemotional, carrying an air of detachnt.

As ti passed, the mories of his master grew increasingly vague in his mind.

Although he still upheld the will to survive imparted by his master, the emotions involved had beco blurred and distant under the wash of ti.

He could no longer clearly rember, could not recall his master’s features and expressions. Toward Zheng Chu, he similarly lacked the respect he once might have held.

Now, in his eyes, Zheng Chu seed more like a powerful being inextricably linked to his master’s death, whose actions were unfathomable.

Yet at this mont, he was too weary to dwell on it, having shed far too much blood, leaving him sowhat numb.

Under the Tao Tribulation Stick, countless souls perished, and unfathomable blood stained many a Star Domain.

The initial emotional upheavals, even the slightest reluctance, had long been worn away by prolonged warfare.

For supre powers, emotions seed to have beco a luxury, even a useless thing.

Chu Zheng looked at Yan Feng before him, filled with complexity in his heart.

He understood this change, inevitable under the long warfare and the erosion of ti.

He approached the boulder, standing across from Yan Feng.

“I have sothing to entrust to you.”

Chu Zheng took a deep breath; this matter was crucial, a key link in his whole plan:

“Concerning Fu Pinglan.”

“Fu Pinglan… Who is that?”

Upon hearing this, Yan Feng frowned in confusion. To him, the na was completely unfamiliar, not appearing in any of his mories.

“A Martial Cultivator, not yet born, but will one day beco Chengzu.”

Chu Zheng spoke solemnly, with eyes reflecting space and ti, as if seeing the distant future:

“I need your help with sothing.”

He paused for a mont before making his request:

“Now, apart from the Chaos Sea, I hold two and a half fractions of the Heavenly Fate. I need you, after Fu Pinglan attains Chengzu, to secretly guide future Ancient Ancestors to traverse ti and return to the past to kill .”

“Kill you? Why?”

Yan Feng’s expression halted briefly, frowning instantly, eyes filled with incomprehension.

He couldn’t grasp Chu Zheng’s thoughts.

Exhausting efforts to plan over eons, dispersing the Heavenly Fate, nurturing forces in the Vast Universe, only to arrange for soone to kill himself in the end?

It was simply beyond reason.

Seeing the confusion in Yan Feng’s eyes, Chu Zheng knew this request defied common sense. He shook his head slightly, with a touch of helplessness:

“This is critically important, concerning your master, and the whole grand sche across ages, difficult to explain clearly.”

He couldn’t elaborate on the cause and effect. Taking Fu Pinglan’s eyes was just the first step.

More crucially, he needed Fu Pinglan to actively return to the Primordial Era to ensure what had happened could happen.

Without Fu Pinglan as the cause, many subsequent effects couldn’t stand.

Yan Feng frowned slightly, silent for a long ti, as he studied Chu Zheng, trying to glean sothing from his deep and abyss-like gaze, but ultimately to no avail.

The only certainty was that Chu Zheng had no reason to deceive him.

Moreover, this was about his master, sothing he couldn’t decline.

After a lengthy pause, he no longer questioned the reason, nodding to agree, his expression still calm:

“I’ll help you.”

Having received a positive reply, Chu Zheng took a deep breath and turned to leave.

The Fu Pinglan link had been established, but there was still another extrely important matter he needed to attend to.

Chu Zheng’s form gradually faded away without causing the slightest ripple.

Yan Feng remained seated on the boulder, the Tao Tribulation Stick on his lap glimring a gentle warmth, seemingly reflecting his current state of mind.

After a long silence, within Yan Feng’s eyes, which had beco almost numb from countless killings, a faint glimr reignited.
