"State your rank within the military!"
The Town General of the Gu Family raised his head, his eyes shining like stars, narrowing slightly with a hint of displeasure. Coldly, he said, "How many tis have I told you, call General, not Young Master."
"Well... it’s not like there are outsiders here anyway." Gu Jiu, seeing the General’s displeasure, quickly put away his smile, perford a military salute, and said seriously, "I’ve already handled the questioning matter."
Saying that, he roughly recounted the events.
The General listened attentively. After he finished, his slender fingers tapped lightly on the table a few tis before he slowly said, "There shouldn’t be any mistake. This Loose Cultivator seems to have been innocently dragged into this. However, he has hidden so things about himself..."
After a pause, the General waved his hand: "Loose Cultivators at the lower levels have a tough cultivation path, often experiencing much hardship and complexity. It’s not surprising that there are personal secrets they don’t want others to know. Since it has nothing to do with this case, there’s no need to force him to divulge personal secrets—go tell him he can leave now if he wishes, and give him so money. If he wants to wait, he can join us when I head to the Southern Border."
Gu Jiu nodded, ready to carry out the order, but as soon as he turned, the General suddenly rembered sothing: "Wait a mont!"
"Hmm? What other orders do you have, General?"
"You said... what is that person’s na?" The General’s tone suddenly seed a bit peculiar.
"Zhao Shanhe." Gu Jiu replied casually, "The na has a certain grandeur, but the guy seems timid."
After a pause, he seed to misunderstand sothing, and said, "General, do you think he has so cleverness to recruit him under your command? I think he’s just average.
Perhaps a bit clever, but he’s sowhat cowardly, and not very brave or steadfast."
"Zhao... Shanhe?" The General took a deep breath, his expression and eyes turning curious, furrowing his brows, he finally exhaled: "Understood, don’t notify him yet, just leave this matter aside for now."
"Huh?"
The General’s expression darkened, giving Gu Jiu a cold glance: "Do I have to repeat my orders to you every ti?"
Gu Jiu shrank his neck, quickly responded, and dashed away.

After finishing his report, Chen Yan was escorted back to the outer courtyard by Zhao Wuji. But just as they reached the gate of the outer courtyard corridor, he saw a figure standing there from afar.
Zhao Wuji looked and imdiately turned solemn, leading Chen Yan quickly over, bowing proactively.
"Greetings, Senior Brother Nangong!"
The person standing there was dressed in an apricot-yellow robe with black-gold edges, his black hair cloud-like, and his appearance was elegantly extraordinary. He was the ancient style handso man from the Inner Sect who had delivered a lecture to the prospective disciples in the outer courtyard that day.
At this mont, Chen Yan realized that this man’s surna was Nangong.
He sighed lightly in his heart.
The surna is Nangong, well, then it’s over. Destined not to be the son of destiny, at most just a small supporting character.
In various cultivation stories, those aristocratic-sounding compound surna families, who appear distinguished, are destined to be re supporting roles.
Hmm... at most so mbers might join the protagonist’s group of admirers.
Senior Brother Nangong smiled gently, but his gaze was indifferent, looking at Zhao Wuji: "You... I recall your surna is Zhao, correct."
"My na is Zhao Wuji, I didn’t expect Senior Brother to rember ." Zhao Wuji’s deanor was respectful: "Are you waiting here for , Senior Brother? Is there sothing you need to do?"
Senior Brother Nangong smiled, but bypassed Zhao Wuji, directing his gaze to Chen Yan, who stood obediently behind Zhao Wuji, and pointed: "I’m here for him."

[I’ve been having trouble with my chronic neck problems lately, which have beco quite painful, and this ti it’s more severe because it’s compressing blood vessels, causing dizziness.
I’ve seen a doctor, but there’s nothing instantly effective for this problem; surgery is an option, but based on my condition, the doctor doesn’t recomnd it, nor do I want to undergo surgery. So, I’ll have to take a conservative approach and rest for a while.
Actually, the headache is manageable, either by tolerating it or taking painkillers, but the dizziness does greatly affect my work. Especially lying down is a bit better, but sitting becos unbearable if I sit for long.
This illness isn’t serious but is highly tolerable, yet it really impacts my work. The dizziness isn’t severe enough to make soone imdiately collapse, but it’s a moderate level of vertigo, making it difficult to write and think about the plot.
Many long-ti readers know about this chronic issue of mine, so I ask for your understanding for these recent days.]
