Chapter Fifty-Three [Boss Fang’s Wrath]

In the third courtyard at the back of Luoyun House, the west wing in the innermost courtyard was Uncle Qing’s own bedroom.

Although this set of courtyards was modeled after ancient styles, Uncle Qing had renovated the interior carefully with modern facilities after acquiring the property.

The house was equipped with air conditioning, underfloor heating, and smart ho appliances.

A couple of days ago, rats had invaded the courtyard, causing a major commotion. Though the store at Luoyun House had temporarily closed its doors, Uncle Qing continued to live in the backyard—this place was like his ho.

The courtyard had already been ticulously cleaned inside and out, and even pest control services had been called in.

That evening, Uncle Qing sat in his room, reclined in his lounge chair, holding his phone and calculating the accounts.

Today, following Elder Zi’s orders, he returned the money he had scamd from the past three tis, which pained Uncle Qing deeply.

Moreover, during the day, his junior sister visited that Boss Fang and agreed to a huge compensation, reminding him to transfer the money by tomorrow...

Now, in the evening, Uncle Qing was alone in the room, having drunk a bit, and thinking of these things made him even more indignant.

I earned that money through my skills, why should I give it back?

Just as he was pondering the accounts, suddenly there was a "bang" sound from outside the courtyard!

Uncle Qing was startled, his body shivering montarily, his slight alcohol-induced resentnt instantly dissipating, leaving him trembling in fear!

Could it be that master of mystical techniques who harassed before, here to cause trouble again?

He quickly moved behind the chair, grabbing the Peach Wood Sword hanging on the wall—his only available weapon for self-defense.

Forcing himself to be brave, Uncle Qing shouted, "Who’s out there?!"

Boom! Clatter...

Another muffled noise ca from outside.

Uncle Qing nearly dropped the Peach Wood Sword from his frightened grip, shouting loudly, "Who! Who is it?! I’ll call the police!!"

At that mont, the door suddenly shattered with a clatter, the panels falling apart!

Uncle Qing scread and fell to his knees, shrinking behind the chair and dropping the Peach Wood Sword, "Spare !! Master, spare !!"

Looking outside, he saw the scene in his own courtyard, completely dumbfounded.

The main bedroom of his residence was in the east wing, directly opposite the west wing.

Kneeling behind the chair, he could see the west wing through the collapsed door!

No!

More accurately, there was no west wing anymore!

The west wing’s half-collapsed wall had crumbled, with broken bricks everywhere.

The beam was still intact, keeping the house from collapsing entirely, but the roof was shaking, with tiles clattering down.

In the courtyard, a small figure stood, clearly a frail girl, yet she held a massive object in one hand... an osmanthus tree thicker than she was!

The expensive osmanthus tree Uncle Qing had bought was uprooted and held single-handedly, then, like an arhat wielding a Vajra Pestle, she swung it, demolishing the west wing wall!!

Uncle Qing’s mind flashed with a ridiculous thought, like a he saw online:

Daiyu uprooting willows?!

As Uncle Qing’s scream echoed, the girl turned her head. He saw she wore an ordinary cotton coat, her face obscured in the dark.

With a casual throw, the osmanthus tree was hurled, crashing into the main hall, creating a hole in the roof and collapsing a large part of the wall!

Uncle Qing nearly popped his eyes out, feeling a chill down his spine, and his legs trembling madly.

The girl then beckoned, and Uncle Qing felt an invisible force drag him from the room, sliding him to the courtyard.

Lying on the ground, he saw a pair of small feet approach.

"Lift your head," a gentle voice said.

Despite his experience in the world, Uncle Qing panicked, hugging his head tightly and refusing to look up, "I understand the rules! I dare not look up!!"

"Good, admitting it saves trouble," she said, then added slowly, "Do you know why I’m here?"

Trembling, Uncle Qing gathered his nerves and loudly replied, "Yes, yes! I was blind, did wrong, and offended you, master!"

Gu Qingyi paused, before quickly saying, "I need you to handle sothing for . Can you do it?"

"Yes, yes! Whatever you ask, I will do!"

anwhile, far-off noises of questioning and door-knocking were heard from the store entrance. People were probably coming to check on the noise or had called the patrol.

As Uncle Qing puzzled this, he felt a foot press on his back, his body feeling crushed, unable to breathe, his bones creaking as if they’d break.

"Do you understand the aning of the term ’diplomatic notes’?" the gentle voice said as Uncle Qing’s vision darkened.

Diplomatic notes?

For this?

After all the speculation...

It turned out they used a talisman to summon Yin Qi, and now ca to demolish the house...

All for this?

Why didn’t you say so earlier!!!

You have no idea how much I’ve paid today!!!

Not daring to hesitate, he wanted to speak but couldn’t due to suffocation, nodding frantically instead.

The foot was removed, and the pressure vanished instantly.

The girl continued in her high-pitched voice, "Have it done by tomorrow. If not, I’ll be back. Next ti, I won’t be destroying the house but your bones."

Then, it was quiet.

Lying there, Uncle Qing cautiously raised his head after a dozen seconds, seeing no one but debris in the courtyard.

Trembling, he stood up, dazed. Hearing the increasing noise from the street, he weakly walked outside.

Outside, five or six people were at the door, including neighbors and the patrol.

As Uncle Qing opened the door, they imdiately called, "Boss Luo! What’s going on? It sounded like you were demolishing the place!"

"Yes, we worried sothing happened! We’re just next door, with such loud noises..."

Glaring, Uncle Qing snapped, "What I do in my own courtyard is none of your business."

A neighboring shop owner retorted, "Ungrateful! We heard the noise and worried sothing happened..."

Luo Qing waved angrily, "I’m fine!"

The patrol leader asked, "President Luo, are you sure there’s no problem at ho?" examining Luo Qing’s dirty appearance.

"I’m demolishing my own house, not a problem, right? I just don’t want to stay after the rat incident. I’m tearing it down to rebuild, understand?!" Luo Qing retorted indignantly.

"...," the patrol leader said. "Boss Luo, rember, the house is rented; you can’t demolish it!"

"None of your concern! I’ll settle it with the officials tomorrow!"

With that, he slamd the door shut.

Feeling exhausted and financially drained from this ordeal, Luo Qing returned to the nearly ruined courtyard, heart bleeding...

Suddenly, a realization hit him!

The master might be doing this to avenge the three thugs I dealt with!

Despite not knowing how those lowlifes befriended such a powerful person...

It didn’t matter!

If the master is dealing with because of those thugs...

Then what about the compensation for Boss Fang?

Forget it!! My junior promised that sum, the largest amount!

I’m afraid of the master, not Fatty Fang!

·

The next morning.

President Fang was playing a ga on his office computer.

There was a knock at the door, and Assistant Yan walked in with a complicated expression.

"Boss!"

Half-hidden behind his screen, President Fang saved his ga.

Damn, I can’t get past this point. I’ve died over twenty tis this morning. The Tiger Vanguard has likely had enough monkey at!

If this doesn’t work... back to the sect?

With casual thoughts, he asked, "What’s up?"

"Boss, I contacted Uncle Qing from Luoyun House per your instructions. Elder Zi promised a fund transfer to our account... I called Uncle Qing to discuss the invoice... he... he..."

President Fang frowned, "What’s Luo Qing up to now?"

"He’s denying it," Assistant Yan said. "He claims there’s no money, and he isn’t paying."

Damn it?

President Fang’s face darkened, slamming the table!
