Gui Geng watched the white cat beside Chen Yan with trepidation.
He felt an uncontrollable fear stemming from his very bloodline just standing in front of this tiny cat — though it was admittedly just psychological at the mont.

Big White lifted its head, jumped onto Chen Yan’s lap, and took a look at the colorful pictures of various big-brand cat foods on his phone screen.
Straightly, Big White gave him a disdainful look.
"Alright then."
Chen Yan sighed, then got up and walked to the window, sticking his head out: "Gui Geng!!"
"I’m here."
Chen Yan was taken aback — was this old turtle mimicking the answers of the ho’s AI assistant?
Could you please adjust that phlegmy voice of yours first?
Chen Yan sighed, "Go to the fresh market and buy so at, high-protein stuff — yeah, get more animal innards, like pig liver, duck liver, goose liver, 20 pounds each."
Gui Geng, lounging in the swimming pool in the yard, poked its head out: "Should I go now?"
Chen Yan didn’t respond, just quietly watched the old turtle. The old turtle imdiately jumped out of the pool, rapidly transford into human form, rushed into the house, grabbed the car keys, and ran off.
Chen Yan picked Big White up and placed it on his lap.
"How many secrets do you have, exactly?" Chen Yan stared into Big White’s eyes.
Big White grunted a few tis, producing a purring sound from its throat — much like that delightful noise a pet cat makes when its owner gives it a good rub.
"What is that Demon Ancestors’ bloodline the old turtle ntioned?" Chen Yan asked Big White, "Well, you should be part of the Demon Race, right? But why haven’t you taken a human form?
Hey! Can you shape-shift into human form?"
Big White: "Purr, purr."
Chen Yan: "Can you speak? You have the Divine Techniques to change your body, so your Mana should allow you to refine your vocal cords and tongue to let you speak human language."
Big White: "Purr, purr."
Alright then!
Chen Yan sighed, realizing he didn’t know much about the Demon Race.

Chen Yan suddenly jumped up, grabbed Big White from his lap, and tossed it onto the sofa.

Chen Yan dashed into the basent’s practice room, quickly drew a Mirror World Talisman, burned it, and entered the Mirror World.
Skylark’s house in the neighborhood was actually empty.

Lu Sisi’s hair was tied in a ponytail — as Chen Yan previously ntioned she looked good with a ponytail, the girl often kept her hair like that since then.
It was now the season when sumr was arriving. Lu Sisi was wearing a short skirt; her slim, long legs were white and straight, very eye-catching, especially given her age. She walked with a light, almost playful bounce, giving her a full-of-life vibe.
Chen Yan walked over with a smile, and Lu Sisi soon saw him, quickened her pace, and hugged Chen Yan’s arm.
"How co you’re back so soon? Weren’t you out with classmates?"
"Just window shopping with Yueyue and the others, not much fun, really." Lu Sisi shook her head, "You ca ho, so of course, I’d co back quickly to see you."
Chen Yan took the plastic bag from her hand and looked inside, surprised: "Roasted chestnuts?"
"Yeah, they sll so good." Lu Sisi smiled with pursed lips, "I’ll peel them for you when we get back."
"What made you think of eating these?"
Chen Yan rembered that Lu Sisi didn’t usually eat snacks like these before, especially roasted chestnuts.
Before she turned eighteen, misfortune seed to frequently follow her, even with sothing like peeling chestnuts, which could easily result in her cutting her fingers — not an exaggeration, but sothing that genuinely happened.
