Chapter 134 [Because of You] (6600)

"Lu Sisi?"

Lu Sisi was sitting with her roommates at a hotpot restaurant near the school waiting for the food, when she heard a surprised shout from next to her.

She imdiately looked up and saw Xiaozhao, his face shiny with oil, standing there smiling at her.

"Zhao..." Lu Sisi was montarily stunned, knowing this person was Chen Yan’s good friend, but she didn’t know how to address him for a mont.

Calling him a classmate seed too formal—and they weren’t from the sa school.

Calling him Brother Zhao seed too intimate, not suitable.

Xiaozhao walked over with a smile and said, "Xiaozhao, just call Xiaozhao, or call President Zhao like Chen Yan does."

"President Zhao?" Lu Sisi laughed.

Actually, she had heard Chen Yan talk about the origin of the na "President Zhao," knowing he was a bit wild and had wide connections, quite influential among students.

President Zhao looked at the empty table of Lu Sisi and her roommates: "Not yet served? Have you ordered?"

"Yeah, we’re still looking at the nu." Said one of Lu Sisi’s roommate girls.

Xiaozhao imdiately smiled: "Okay, don’t order then. We’re passing out flyers here, and the owner promised us a few hotpot als. I’ve never tried the free als; I’ll treat you today!"

Lu Sisi was stunned, quickly wanting to say sothing polite, but Xiaozhao had already turned around and smiled at a passing hotpot restaurant waiter: "Brother Jiang, can we get the welfare al for this table, and send so side dishes and a jug of juice?"

The waiter, familiar with Xiaozhao, glanced at Lu Sisi and the others, and said with a smile, "No problem, I’ll throw in a plate of lamb."

"This, this isn’t right, we..." Lu Sisi was a bit anxious.

Xiaozhao had already pulled up a chair and sat down, laughing: "Don’t be polite, I have a life-and-death friendship with Chen Yan, treating you to hotpot is nothing."

With that, he looked at the slightly confused girls who were roommates of Lu Sisi and laughed: "Let introduce myself, I’m Zhao Shanhe, good evening, ladies."

"Why do they call you President Zhao, then?" a roommate asked with a smile.

"What president, I just have so connections, can get classmates so part-ti jobs to earn pocket money; they jokingly call President Zhao, just a joke."

Xiaozhao continued quickly: "I’m treating you to the welfare al here, which is actually the sa as the nu items, no difference. We were doing part-ti jobs helping the owner pass out flyers, and he gave us a few servings of hotpot in return. I don’t usually eat this stuff, so since we bumped into each other today, I thought I’d treat you lovely ladies."

Xiaozhao could talk well, high emotional intelligence, and he did lots of part-ti jobs, having much more social experience than these college students. A few courteous words and he had Lu Sisi’s roommates smiling.

"Sorry, your welfare als are also your paynt for working here, us eating them..." Lu Sisi was still a bit embarrassed.

"Oh, co on, I already said I have a life-and-death relationship with Brother Yan." Xiaozhao waved his hand.

Just then the waiter brought a jug of juice, and he actively poured so for each of the girls at the table.

Then he looked at Lu Sisi: "By the way, what’s Brother Yan busy with lately?"

"Well, he went out of town a few days ago, should be back soon." Lu Sisi thought, then asked: "You sitting here chatting with us, doesn’t it interfere with your work?"

Xiaozhao laughed aloud, casually taking off his apron and crumpling it in his hands: "It’s fine, I’m just at the end of my work shift anyway. If I didn’t run into you, I would’ve left already."

Lu Sisi thought for a mont, then said: "Then don’t leave, sit down and eat with us. Otherwise, this ti you’d have to go back to school to dine in the cafeteria."

"Sure!" Xiaozhao imdiately nodded in agreent.

He intentionally sat down to talk, clearly with other motives—the roommates of Lu Sisi included a couple of pretty girls, looking quite decent.

Despite his popularity among classmates, President Zhao was still single.

"This President Zhao, the Brother Yan you keep ntioning, is the boyfriend of our Lu Sisi, right?" Among the roommates, a girl with a round little face giggled and said, "Sisi never really tells us what her boyfriend is like, keeping it a secret. Tell us about him."

"You want to tell?" Xiaozhao’s eyes darted around. The round-faced girl talking was only second in looks to Lu Sisi among the girls here, and Xiaozhao had noticed when he sat down. Seeing an opening, he smiled and said: "My Brother Yan is a year ahead of , graduated last year."

"Is he handso?"

"Of course, has to be!" Xiaozhao laughed: "My Brother Yan is 1.8 ters tall, definitely qualifies as a handso guy."

Soone else chid in and laughed: "Graduated, huh, where does he work? What’s his family like? Can he support our Sisi girl?"

"Of course he can support her! She’ll definitely eat well, dress with style!" Xiaozhao, having high emotional intelligence, believed Chen Yan lost his job at the end of last year and wasn’t sure if he’d found a new one yet.

But he wouldn’t let Lu Sisi lose face, so he bragged: "My Brother Yan’s conditions are top-notch, don’t worry, ladies."

The girls weren’t really trying to dig for details, just joking around. Xiaozhao was so clever he skillfully lifted the atmosphere at the table with a few words.
