Perhaps a new song would be better.

Li Yuan recalled the promise he had made to Zhong Tingyue at the mall during the National Day holiday to write another song for her. He had been preparing this piece for a long ti. He originally intended to sing it for Zhong Tingyue during the dramatic confrontation he anticipated and had even practiced it in advance. However, thanks to the matchmaking efforts of his mother-in-law, Gu Lanxin, he never had to use the song for a confession. This occasion, however, seed rather suitable...

Li Yuan raised the microphone, offering a slight smile to Jay Chou. He then turned to face the entire audience, his gaze finally landing on Zhong Tingyue. "My friends," he began slowly, "I once promised a girl that I would write a song for her..."

As soon as he spoke, the roaring concert fell silent, and tens of thousands of fans listened intently to his every word.

"Today, that girl is here in the audience," he continued. "I’d like to take this opportunity, on this very stage, to give this song to her."

Down in the audience, Zhong Tingyue froze when she heard Li Yuan’s voice. Her gaze locked onto him, her heart thundering in her chest as thoughts raced through her mind.

Is he confessing to ? Right here, on this stage? Is he about to sing the song he wrote just for ?

On stage, Jay Chou smiled as he listened. Following Li Yuan’s gaze, he saw the beautiful figure standing up in the first row. Even he was a little stunned.

Could this girl be Xia Hua’s girlfriend? She’s absolutely stunning.

He’d been in the industry for years and had seen countless female stars, but very few could surpass the beauty of the girl before him. He was genuinely impressed.

With the entire stadium’s eyes on him, Li Yuan kept his gaze fixed on Zhong Tingyue and continued, "Little Moon, this song is called ’Once is Enough.’ I hope you like it."

After he finished, Li Yuan looked at Jay Chou. "Jay, could I borrow a guitar?"

Jay Chou nodded with a smile. "Of course, no problem."

He signaled backstage, and a staff mber quickly brought out a guitar and handed it to Li Yuan.

Li Yuan strumd the strings. This was the second song he had promised to prepare for Zhong Tingyue. He had practiced it in secret, so he was confident in his ability to perform it.

Standing before the microphone, Li Yuan had eyes only for Zhong Tingyue.

The chords rang out, and his voice began to echo throughout the stadium, carrying over the tens of thousands of people.

...

*I want to see you laugh, want to joke around with you*

*I want to hold you in my arms*

...

*Once is enough, I’ll take you to the end of ti*

*On sun-drenched days, laughing with all our might*

*In the sweet, free air, we’d bicker and play*

*Do you know, you’re all I’ve ever wanted?*

...

Down in the crowd, Zhong Tingyue listened to Li Yuan’s heartfelt song. At that mont, she was the only one in his eyes. Even with tens of thousands of people around them, nothing could stop their gazes from eting across the stadium.

"Once is enough, Senior... Just having you is enough!" Zhong Tingyue murmured to herself, her vision blurring with tears. Her heart trembled violently. She understood the song; she understood Li Yuan’s feelings for her.

Scenes of their ti together flashed through her mind, including the story he had once told her.

Senior, I’m willing to be with you until the end of ti, too...

Beside Li Yuan, Jay Chou listened to him sing "Once is Enough," his expression one of utter shock. A staff mber had briefed him backstage about Li Yuan’s accomplishnts, so he already expected the young freshman to have incredible musical talent, perhaps even rivaling his own at that age. But to hear Li Yuan perform a brand-new song right there, in front of tens of thousands of fans, was still utterly astonishing. In just over a month, this young man had composed four potential classics. It was an astounding feat.

He’s genuinely talented. This song is really beautiful, definitely an award-winner. he thought to himself, quietly enjoying the performance.

anwhile, the tens of thousands of fans in the audience went wild with excitent. They had expected him to sing one of his three hits—"Natural Beauty," "Love Confession Balloon," or "Just t You"—but were stunned to hear a brand-new track. And it was a beautiful one at that. The tempo was slow, but the story it told was so lovely that the audience couldn’t help but get lost in it, reminded of their own sweet romances.

*WOW, WOW, WOW, Liuliu, my ears are in heaven! Xia Hua’s "Once is Enough" is so beautiful it takes right back to my first love in college. I’m thinking of him now, BOO-HOO-HOO...*

*As expected of a musical genius! Xia Hua is amazing. This song is incredible, another contender for single of the year...*

*Sisters, look at the big screen! Is that the girl Xia Hua is confessing to on stage? She’s gorgeous! No wonder our man is so smitten. A truly talented man and a beautiful woman!*

*And Xia Hua is so tall and handso, and so talented! They’re a perfect match. The girl is so moved she’s crying. If soone confessed to like that, I’d marry him on the spot...*

Amid the roaring cheers, Zhong Tingyue listened with tears streaming down her face as Li Yuan continued to sing. At that mont, the tall figure on the stage was her entire world. He filled her heart to the brim, leaving no room for anyone or anything else.
