Chapter 951: Did you really go to the wrong bed?!
“I-I liked you. From the mont I t you, from the mont I saved you, I have been in love with you, but I know that I’m not the one you like. I know that you like Ge Ge, so I gave up...”
The sudden confession confused the already confused man further.
“Last night, I just wanted to take care of you because I thought that you were sick. I didn’t expect you to be so drunk... I resisted... as I didn’t want to give myself to you...”
Qiao Jingyun began speaking of her sorrows as she cried.
“Because my mother told that a girl must treasure herself. Even if I like soone, I shouldn’t give myself away easily. I intended to give myself to the husband that loved on my wedding day, b-but...”
She sniffled as a bitter smile blossod on her face as she looked at the man with teary eyes.
“I didn’t expect sothing like that to happen last night... I didn’t expect... to give myself to a man that doesn’t love ...”
As she spoke, she could not hold it in any longer. She cried out loud, the forced smile on her face vanishing.
Her voice was full of helplessness and hopelessness.
Ji Ziming clenched and unclenched his fists when he saw her crying without regard for her image.
No matter the reason, he had hard an innocent woman.
“I’m sorry,” he repeated, as if they were the only words he knew.
“I told you! I don’t need an apology. What’s done is done; I don’t bla you. It might be quite nice to give my first ti to the man I like.”
She laughed in self-mockery and then wiped the tears from her face.
“I’m sorry.” The man apologized to her again. Even though he had solved countless touch questions, he had no idea how to go about resolving this problem he had at hand.
“I told you that I don’t want your apology! Even if you apologize to , this... Seriously, what’s the point?! You’re not going to take responsibility... You won’t fall in love with ...”
A bitter smile appeared on her face.
The man paused when he heard the woman’s words. He looked at the sad woman with a complex expression...
He definitely would not take responsibility for this... nor would he fall for her... as his heart could only hold Pei Ge in this life...
“Ziming, don’t worry; I won’t tell Ge Ge about it. Let’s just treat this as a dream...”
After that, she wiped the tears from her face, and sans a regard for his reaction, fled the guest room with him still in it.
The man was, thus, left by himself in the guest room.
Looking at the ssy bedroom, the red spots on the sheets and the sll in the air...
“D*mn it! D*mn it!”
He clenched his fists and slamd them on the bed with bloodshot eyes.
How was he to face the woman he loved? How was he to tell her that he had betrayed her...
“Pei Ge...”
He covered his face with his hands, a fragile expression appearing on it.
“Sorry... Pei Ge... sorry...”
No matter what, no matter the excuses, he had betrayed her.
Even though the only one he loved was her and only her...
‘Ziming, don’t worry; I won’t tell Ge Ge about it. Let’s just treat this as a dream...’
Suddenly, her earlier words appeared in his mind.
“A... dream?”
The person in his dream was clearly the woman he loved the most and not Qiao Jingyun...
Why... Why... was nothing right the mont he woke up?
He smiled bitterly, a hopeless expression on his face.
After sitting on the bed quietly for a few monts, Ji Ziming picked up the scattered clothes on the floor and got his phone from his pocket.
He found that his phone had been shut down without his notice.
After turning on his phone, he saw that he had quite a number of missed calls.
They were mostly from Mu Heng.
Looking at the many missed calls from the man with complex emotions, he decided to call back.
“...”
“Hello, Ji Ziming! What did you go off doing! We couldn’t find you anywhere!”
His childhood friend’s anxious voice ca from the other end of the receiver.
“I... just woke up,” he answered plainly after a while.
“Sigh! Where did you sleep? I was so worried about you going to the wrong bed because of how much you’d drunk,” said his childhood friend jokingly.
Little did he expect that an eerie silence would ensue after the man heard his words, though.
Even though this Casanova usually seed like a loud airhead, he was actually really sensitive, especially when it ca to matters of the heart.
Thus, he imdiately sensed that sothing was off.
“No way, Ziming! Did you really go to the wrong bed last night?!”
“...”
All he received in reply was eerie silence.
“Oh, man! It’s actually real?! Ji Ziming, d-did you sleep with another woman last night!”
A shout of disbelief ca from his childhood friend.
“No way! You’re you! How could sothing like that happen to you?! This must be fake!”
Mu Heng repeated, unable to believe it.
The man, who was already feeling frustrated, raised his voice at the other when he heard his rambling. “Shut up! Don’t make noise. Do you want everyone to know about this?!”
His childhood friend only reacted after he raised his voice.
However, since he was alone in the bedroom, there was no way anyone would find out.
“Don’t worry; it’s just here, so no one else will find out, but... now that sothing like this has really happened, what... do you intend to do? Won’t that woman make trouble?” asked Mu Heng helplessly.
What to do...
The man paused. An image of Pei Ge looking disappointedly at him appeared in his head.
“I intend to...”
