Chapter 1874: Daddy, Don’t Go
“Daddy, can you not leave? I don’t want to be alone, and mommy definitely doesn’t want to leave you.”
She hugged her father tightly, not even daring to breathe.
The dream was so realistic that Pei Ge thought that as long as she hugged her father tightly, she would be able to bring him to her side. However, the ethereal figure would still leave.
“Ge Ge, daddy has been out for a long ti, I need to leave now.”

“Ge Ge, you have to be obedient. You already have soone by your side to take good care of you. With this person by your side, I’ll believe that you’re truly happy. I’ll only leave when you’re happy.”
“I don’t want to, I don’t want to. Please don’t go, Daddy, I’m begging you.”
Pei Ge choked. She would rather sniff her nose than shed a single tear. As long as her father did not leave, she was willing to do anything. As long as her father did not leave, she would rather give up on the beautiful days ahead.

No matter how many promises she made, they were all for the wind to hear.

Ji Ziming walked up to her with a gentle voice and the warmth in his eyes.
“But, Daddy, Daddy left... I still...”
“Dad just went to a better place. We’ll be able to et him soon. Now, we have to go ho. Mom is still at ho. Mom has already prepared a table of food for us.”
Ji Ziming’s voice was gentle. He was no longer as tall as before. He only knelt in front of Pei Ge and said even more gently, “Ge Ge, I’ll carry you ho.”
Ji Ziming bent down and picked Pei Ge up in his arms. His steps were elegant and his eyes were filled with love as he looked at Pei Ge’s beautiful eyes. His lips curled into a cold smile.
“Okay, let’s go ho.”
She lowered her head.
Then, she turned around and looked at the white fog behind her. It had actually all dissipated without her knowing. It was still that fairytale-like world, and it was still that patch of flowers and butterflies.
It was as if nothing had changed, but it also seed like everything had changed.
“Is Mommy really ho?”
Pei Ge asked seriously as she looked at Ji Ziming’s eyes.
“At ho, waiting for you to go ho and cook sothing delicious for you.”
Ji Ziming’s eyes seed to be filled with the sun as his gaze beca even hotter. The arm that was hugging Pei Ge also slowly beca warr.
Pei Ge turned around with a smile on her lips. When she opened her eyes, she saw the warm sunlight shining into the room through the curtains and onto her arms. It turned out that the warm sunlight was the source of the warmth.
“You’re awake.”
Ji Ziming supported his head with one hand and placed the other on the blanket that he had just covered Pei Ge with. His eyes shone brightly.
“Mhm.”
Pei Ge said as she t his eyes which were filled with sunlight. She saw and heard her inner voice. The so-called white fog was just a long wait. Since they could still be together, it ant that everything would happen again. As long as they could still be together, it did not matter how long they waited.
“Did you sleep well?”
Ji Ziming had never seen Pei Ge sleep for so long nor did he see her smile when she woke up. He thought that she must have slept peacefully that night, or else she would not be like this.
