Chapter 1632: Threaten
“Then, where is the car now?”
“It will be here in another five minutes.”
Ji Ziming raised his hand to look at the ti. As expected, it would reach the Ji Group in five minutes. He Yun had already sent the specific location to the person driving the car over.
“This quickly?”
Pei Ge was slightly surprised, yet she did not know what was strange about it.

Just as she moved to speak, the elevator doors opened with a ding!
He stepped out of the elevator first, leaving a handso and straight back view for her. Behind him, Pei Ge softly muttered, “What even. Seriously.”
Ji Ziming’s lips uncontrollably lifted at the corners. His little woman was getting more interesting by the day.
Soon after they reached the CEO’s office, the phone on the table rang. The man picked it up casually, only to find out that it was a call from Ellie expressing her gratitude. His dark eyes darkened instantly; his voice then beca cool too as he emitted an impassive feeling.
“If you think that the company’s phone is for you to settle personal matters, then you no longer need to work here in the Ji Group. I can now approve your resignation.”
Knowing that he would be of this attitude, Ellie did not get angry. She rely acknowledged her mistake and hung up the call. In comparison to the joy in her heart earlier, she felt that even the almost-dead lotus on the window sill was more alive and fragrant.
She liked anything he sent, be it flowers or cars.

However, at this mont, the man did not think the sa way while sitting in his office. He knew that with Ellie’s personality, she would think sothing of the car. Pei Ge sat on the sofa as she watched him frown, then chuckled. “What’s wrong? Is it a bad thing that Ellie is thanking you?”
She knew that he was simply trying to do sothing good yet was given the title of a good man unknowingly. She even knew that he had gifted the car to the woman under her na. The reason she chose to remain mum about it was that she rely wanted to protect this man who treasures his employees.
As long as it was right, she did not care which woman he gifted presents to or brought out for a al.
As a leader in a company, she herself knew the importance and rarity of having a capable employee.
“You can still laugh?”
His eyes turned cold as he regarded the woman in a white business suit. He felt that she was caring more and more about the company.
“What’s wrong? Can’t I laugh? Then, should I be crying now, instead?”
She crossed her legs. Her slender and nicely shaped limbs were another form of enticent for the man, but she did not even realize that her movents had beco tinged in pink bubbles in the man’s eyes.
She retrieved a file from the coffee table, but before she could flip through two pages of it, the man already strode over in a re few steps and snatched it away.
His expression was cold as his large, fair hand waved in front of her eyes. He looked down at her and said in a teasing voice, “Cry for .”
“What?”
She subconsciously reached out to grab for the docunt he had taken away but failed.
Suspecting that she had heard wrongly, she widened her beautiful doe eyes at the man. The confusion in her eyes was apparent to him. “You didn’t hear anything wrong. Cry for to see.”
The smile on his lips gave her an eerie feeling. This was totally different from the sweet and loving tone of his in the elevator previously.
“You’re crazy!”
She pouted and scolded, not trying to grab the file in his hand anymore. Instead, she picked up another from the coffee table. When she saw that it was the na of her company, she suddenly had an ominous feeling.
There was still no news regarding the person she was suspecting. Although Ji Ziming had already supported her act of digging out the background of that person, she still had not received any reply from her subordinates.
“The docunt I am holding is regarding that person. Do you want to look?”
The ruminating expression on his face beca even stronger. He just wanted to see her try to snatch it from him yet failed at it.
“You! Hurry and give it to !”
She uncrossed her legs and stood up. In her high heels, she took a misstep and started falling backward. Nervous, she closed her eyes yet fell into a gentle embrace.
Her moist eyes abruptly opened and t with the man’s deep ones as though he had been awaiting her awakening.
“Did you get hurt?”
His voice was hurried as he looked at her with a light frown.
“I... I didn’t.”
She could feel her heart thumping as she looked at him from this proximity. How could she possibly resist his attractiveness? Just one look at him was enough for her to have an urge to spend her lifeti with him.
“It’s good that you aren’t.”
His smile unconsciously beca even more apparent when he spotted the blush on her cheeks. His right hand tightened around her slim waist as he brought his left hand up to caress gently the side of her cheek. His gentle fingers slowly slid down her skin. It felt as though a fire trailed behind the path his fingers touched.
The feeling she felt was so strong that it was almost uncontrollable.
Suddenly, the man frowned and quickly stood up, saying in a low voice, “Hurry and look at your docunt. This person is it, and now they left your company.”
The mont she heard this, Pei Ge no longer dared to space out on the sofa. She quickly stood up and picked up the docunt he had discarded to the floor while in a panic to catch her from falling just then.
The mont she flipped it open, it was the family background of the HR manager. The manager was called Ji Miao who had a twin.
