Chapter 1381: I will definitely bring you and the child out.
“By the way, that woman planted explosives here; I’m worried...”
Pei Ge looked at the man with an anxious face.
She was very afraid that the building would explode at any ti and that none of them would be able to escape.
“You don’t have to worry about that; I’ll definitely bring you and the child out,” softly reassured Ji Ziming as he patted her back.
Though he was soft-spoken, he sounded reassuring.
“Mhm.” Finally reassured, she nodded her head and pursed her lips slightly. “Then, let’s quickly find our son before that woman does!”
“Alright.”
Upon reaching an agreent, both disappeared in the dark room.
They traced where the boy had run off. The woman walked briskly to where the boy went earlier with the man in tow.
Unfortunately, they did not find the boy along the way.
This made her grow nervous.
“Don’t be anxious; that child has always been smart. Nothing will happen to him, and he’s probably hiding sowhere.”
The man reassured her at once when he saw how anxious she looked, but this did not seem to work on her this ti as she looked at him fiercely.
“Ping An is just a boy! Even if he’s smart, he’s only a child.”
She broke free from his hold when she spoke that.
“Calm down. Our son must be hiding sowhere...”
Although he was rely making a guess, Ji Chi was indeed hiding sowhere.
After escaping through the hole in the wall, he listened to his mother’s instruction and ran toward sowhere safe.
Where could he possibly go given the sheer size of this building?
As such, when he heard the gunshot, he stumbled, creating that loud noise, but quick-wittedly hid himself away.
What the boy did not expect was for the place he had chosen to hide to have soone else!
Furthermore, this woman was soone very familiar!
“Wu wu wu!”
Qu Jingwan was in a dark corner, tied with ropes, a piece of white cloth shoved in her mouth.
She grew agitated and appeared to have sothing to say when she saw the boy appear here.
“Shhhh!”
The little guy quietly approached the woman who was struggling nonstop.
The latter finally stopped struggling when she saw what the child was doing.
“Why are you here?”
Ji Chi looked at her in confusion.
He did not get why this lady would be here and Qiao Jingyun would tie her up.
After giving it so thought, though, he realized that the two had never gotten along so he stopped thinking further.
“Wu wu!”
“Don’t speak and be quieter; I’ll help you get out of these ropes.”
Having said that, he squatted next to her and began untying the ropes binding her.
However, just as he finished untying the rope on her hands, and before he could untie the rope on her ankles, he heard footsteps coming from not far away.
Pat... pat...
Those footsteps sounded unusually clear in the dark...
