Chapter 1478: Chapter 1437 Rembered

“Why am I… crying?”

It seed to be more than just that; a faint pain lingered in her heart, growing more intense, to the point that it made Kong Zhaozhao feel unsteady, kneeling on the ground, clutching her chest, and wailing loudly.

“Lu Chuan! Why!”

Clearly, she didn’t know him, had never even seen him before, so why was she feeling sorrow, even despair, over his plight?

“Wait… I think I’ve seen him sowhere.”

Kong Zhaozhao looked up as blurry mories surfaced in her mind, like a veil of mist clouding her vision, she desperately tried to see clearly, but the mist refused to disperse.

“Little Frost Peak… Lake Heart Pavilion.”

Kong Zhaozhao forced herself to endure the heartache and struggled to stand, stumbling step by step out of the Heavenly Prison.

She was eager to return to Little Frost Peak, to return to Lake Heart Pavilion.

It seed that only by going there would she be able to untangle the confusion in her heart.

It took her nearly four hours to return to Little Frost Peak, the dull pain in her heart never subsided, constantly tornting her, even causing Kong Zhaozhao to lose focus while controlling her Spiritual Power, falling into the water several tis, the icy waters making her complexion even paler.

“It’s just ahead, I’ll see him soon!”

Kong Zhaozhao struggled to climb out of the water, her body trembling uncontrollably like a sieve, she tore open the piled-up paintings on the desk, scrunched them up, and tossed them aside, growing increasingly impatient.

Finally!

After discarding all the paintings, Kong Zhaozhao saw the ink painting that had been pressed at the bottom.

In the distance on the lake surface, a person sat quietly, fishing in the slanting sun.

This should have been a beautiful scene, but unfortunately, the person in the painting seed unaware of spoiling the atmosphere, sitting without proper posture, leaning sideways on the water’s surface, mumbling sothing…

“The wind doesn’t stir, the pennant doesn’t stir, the heart of the benevolent stirs.”

Gently touching the text written by Lu Chuan himself on the painting, Kong Zhaozhao managed a smile despite her tears, but her hard-held control slipped, a torrent of tears pouring down again, soaking the rice paper and causing the dried ink to blur once more.

The next day.

Actually, Lu Chuan could no longer distinguish if it was the next day.

He had been imprisoned in the Heavenly Prison for an unknown number of hours, his blood nearly drained, his consciousness growing ever more hazy.

If this continued, Kong Yuanliang’s plan was likely to fail, after all, Lu Chuan truly couldn’t hold on much longer.

His reaction to external stimuli had dulled to the point that when Kong Zhaozhao treaded through the frost, sealing everything around in ice and opening his cell, standing before him, Lu Chuan didn’t even notice.

Not until the piercing cold touched his shoulder did he reluctantly regain so clarity, laboriously opening his eyes.

“Zhaozhao…”

“You still rember , yet how selfish of you, asking to forget so thoroughly!”

Staring at Lu Chuan’s pallid face, Kong Zhaozhao felt as if her heart was bleeding.

“You… rember?”

“Shouldn’t I rember? Lu Chuan, if you were to die, what will happen to !”

“Heh, if you were to forget everything, you could start anew.”

“I don’t want to! I don’t want to forget you! Forget these precious, unique mories! Lu Chuan, hold on, I’ll save you right now!”

Kong Zhaozhao’s fingertips brushed the chains, freezing them instantly, shattering them with a stone until they crumbled into dust!

After breaking all the chains, Kong Zhaozhao held Lu Chuan in her arms, gently caressing the wound where the Spirit Suppressing Nail was embedded, gritting her teeth.

“I’ll, I’ll pull it out for you now!”

“First… take out the Demon Suppressing Nail in my spine first…”

This nail not only blocked Lu Chuan’s Spiritual Power but also sealed his physical body. Only by removing this nail could Lu Chuan’s body begin to heal itself.

At this mont, the pain paradoxically allowed Lu Chuan to regain so clarity!

Hearing this, Kong Zhaozhao nodded slightly, moved behind Lu Chuan, and stared at the blood-soaked Demon Suppressing Nail. With a steely resolve, she gripped it tightly, mustering all her strength, but only managed to remove a centiter.

“Keep… going!”

“But you’re already…”

Looking at Lu Chuan’s contorted face, his body trembling uncontrollably, and his throat occasionally emitting beast-like growls due to the pain, Kong Zhaozhao couldn’t bear to continue.

“Only by pulling it out can you help , quickly!”

The changes in the Heavenly Prison couldn’t remain concealed for long, once discovered by Kong Yuanliang, all their efforts would be in vain!

Thinking of this, Kong Zhaozhao no longer hesitated, gripping the nail firmly, even as her fingers tore and bled she did not falter, finally pulling the entire Spirit Suppressing Nail out!

Gazing at the nearly ten-centiter-long Spirit Suppressing Nail, Kong Zhaozhao covered her mouth, silencing her cries.

What kind of agony had tornted Lu Chuan to this extent?

Feeling his strength start to return, Lu Chuan struggled to sit up, gripping the Spirit Suppressing Nail in his right wrist, pulling it out with force, spraying blood and flesh!

Yet with each nail pulled out, Lu Chuan’s condition improved significantly, as for the pain, it no longer mattered.

After removing the Spirit Suppressing Nails from his arms and legs, Lu Chuan’s wounds began to slowly heal, allowing him to access so of his Spiritual Power.

But the issue remained with the nail at the top of his head, Lu Chuan couldn’t pull it out!

He had tried several tis, but each ti he touched the nail in his head, a searing headache ensued worse than being torn apart, making him dare not act rashly.

“Let’s… leave it for now.”

Lu Chuan exhaled a long breath, his tremulous voice betraying the depths of his endurance.

“Zhaozhao, if you let go, what will happen when your father holds you accountable later?”

“It’s okay… I’m still my father’s… daughter, at worst, I’ll get a scolding, it’ll be fine.”

Seeing Lu Chuan finally recovered in spirit, Kong Zhaozhao pressed her lips together, each small breath exhaling frost, the Fire Essence Bracelet on her wrist even shattered!

Lu Chuan took her wrist to examine it, a sudden change to his face.

Perhaps due to forcibly using her Spiritual Power, the Frost Poison flared up again, just a step away from entering the heart ridians, at that point, even an Immortal wouldn’t be able to save her!

“Zhaozhao, hold on a little longer, I’ll take you away from here right now!”

Lu Chuan hadn’t intended to resort to this, but now, there was no choice.

It was the only way to save Kong Zhaozhao’s life!
