Valence Group.

After ending the call with Noah Reyes, Glades Horne imdiately phoned Hansen Ruiz.

Hansen Ruiz was still in the hospital at that mont.

Upon receiving Glades Horne’s call, Hansen Ruiz stepped out of the ward before asking in a calm yet deep voice, "Glades, what’s happening?"

"Ruiz, imdiately mobilize all the connections we have and lock down all information regarding Adele and Billy. Not a single detail must be leaked."

Glades Horne spoke with the utmost seriousness, his voice heavy and urgent. Hansen Ruiz felt a chill in his heart, but he still responded steadily, "Okay, I understand."

"Is Billy at your place?" Glades Horne added at the end.

The little fellow had Uncle Ying take him out early in the morning; except for visiting Camila Ruiz, he wouldn’t seek anyone else.

At the mont, that little beauty Florence Ford was still accompanying the elderly matriarch at the Horne Family residence.

Although Ivan Horne had returned ho, his attitude towards Florence Ford was much the sa—hot and cold, treating her as soone insignificant and seldom spending ti with her.

The little beauty had no choice but to stay with the old lady while waiting for Billy to co ho.

"Mm," Hansen Ruiz replied. "You don’t need to worry. As long as I’m here, he’ll be fine." The little fellow was having a grand ti bickering with his precious daughter.

"That’s all then." Glades Horne entrusted Jimmy Horne to Hansen Ruiz with peace of mind.

After ending the call, Glades Horne leaned back into his black swivel chair. Then, he dialed Jonathan Allen and his other close friends, utilizing every connection he could to completely lock down any information about Adele and her son once more.

Only after handling the matter Noah Reyes had requested his help with before leaving did Glades Horne rember his sister. He then called Adele Horne.

Adele Horne didn’t answer her brother’s call at first. She was still standing on the lawn, staring blankly at the blue sky.

The fierce sun made her feel dizzy, yet she remained standing there.

He had left!

Just like years ago, he left with a wave of his hand, taking not a single cloud with him.

From the mont her brother told her he had arrived, she had been avoiding him, unwilling to have any further interaction. But he was unwilling, and neither, it seed, was fate. Instead, fate arranged for them to et and for him to cling to her. Then, he confessed his love. She, in turn, allowed him to acknowledge their son, and what was ant to be no interaction at all beca an entanglent.

She was still in a muddle when he abruptly left again.

It was a complete ss!

She hadn’t even sorted out her feelings towards him.

Was it love, hate, or resentnt?

When Glades Horne called for the second ti, the phone rang for a long ti before Adele Horne snapped back to reality. She answered the call and simultaneously lowered her gaze from the sky. Bowing her head, she felt a bit dark before her eyes, likely from looking up for too long.

"Brother, is sothing the matter?"

Adele shook off her daze and then slowly made her way back to the manor.

The manor spread over several acres, vast and expansive. Since the flowers and trees within had not fully grown, apart from the buildings, the grounds felt strikingly empty.

"Are you with Noah Reyes?" Glades Horne asked in a low voice. His beloved wife had just called to tell him about dealing with Noah Reyes. He knew his sister was with Noah Reyes; it was a rhetorical question at this point.

"He’s gone."

Adele Horne answered, her tone unable to hide her sense of loss, so palpable that even Glades on the phone could discern it.

Glades Horne was silent for a mont. Noah Reyes sure moved quickly; he was gone in the blink of an eye.

"Where are you now? Do you need to pick you up?" Glades asked with concern.

The loss in his sister’s voice told him that her heart had been perturbed by Noah Reyes.

One could say it had been disturbed for many years.

"No need, I’m at Noah Reyes’ manor." Adele refused her brother’s offer to pick her up. She walked back to the manor’s entrance, stopped, and gazed steadily at the grand gateway. Although it bore no na, it was imposingly constructed, exuding an aura of nobility.

"Be careful," Glades cautioned.

"Mhm."

"Then I’ll hang up now," Glades said gently. After receiving Adele’s affirmation, he ended the call. He recalled the call Noah Reyes had made before departing. Although Glades had already begun to suppress all information about his sister—ensuring anyone who knew or had seen her would be silenced to prevent her identity or appearance from being easily revealed—he still didn’t dare underestimate The Fla Gate. He worried that Noah Reyes’ rivals might have already targeted her.

Noah Reyes hadn’t specified the issue, but with Glades’ intelligence, he could guess a thing or two.

Feeling uneasy, Glades notified the four bodyguards who originally protected Julia to imdiately head to Naless Manor to protect his sister. He also requested Jonathan Allen to arrange for his n to stealthily surround Naless Manor, providing Adele with concealed security.

As for Jimmy Horne, he had effectively entrusted him entirely to Hansen Ruiz.

Relatively speaking, Jimmy was more likely to provoke the murderous intentions of Noah Reyes’ adversaries. If he were officially recognized and returned to the family, he would be Noah Reyes’ only son, the legitimate heir of the next generation of the Reyes Family, and the future leader of The Fla Gate. Those coveting power would need to eliminate not only Noah Reyes but also eradicate Jimmy, this sole successor.

Adele Horne slowly walked into Naless Manor. The sun was too fierce; she stood in the courtyard for only a few minutes, hesitated for a mont, then went inside the house.

The house was cool, with the air conditioning running in the living room. Despite its large size, the refreshing sensation was still very distinct.

She stood at the entrance of the living room, surveying the place where Noah Reyes had lived.

The empty manor, with only her present, felt especially silent, so quiet she could hear her own breathing.

Adele, wait for to return!

His husky plea from their parting echoed once again in her ears.

Adele’s heart felt heavy. She didn’t know what had made him leave in such a hurry, without even a mont to speak to his son.

Could there be danger in his departure this ti?

Was she worried about him?

Shaking her head, Adele forced herself to dispel her concerns for Noah Reyes and began to scrutinize the interior of the house intently.

She wandered through the spacious house like a ghost drifting about.

「The United States.

New York.」

In a high-end hotel, several n, around Noah Reyes’ age and with sowhat similar features, were gathered in a private room. They were tall and robust, all dressed in crisp suits. So looked debonair, so cold and callous, and others appeared genteel and scholarly. The n were either standing or sitting, and one or two of them were of mixed heritage.
