"Hey, what are you doing?" Adele Horne scread in alarm. Had this man gone mad? How dare he take advantage of her in front of so many people?
"Let go of , let go! If you don’t let go this instant, I’ll scream." Adele struggled forcefully, attempting to break free from Noah Reyes’s strong grip.
Jimmy Horne, on the other hand, watched the scene in astonishnt. Quickly, he sprang into action, pouncing towards Noah Reyes like a little tiger, kicking and punching furiously while shouting at the top of his lungs, "Let go of my mommy! Let go of my mommy!" That man had the audacity to take advantage of his mommy! Even if his mommy was very beautiful, it didn’t an that man could just grab her like that. And to think he had liked that man so much, only to find out he was a lecherous creep!
"Young Master!"
The n in black quickly stepped forward, one of them swiftly pulling Jimmy Horne away as he continued to kick and punch at Noah Reyes.
Everyone in the store had their gaze drawn to the commotion, stopping in their tracks to watch curiously.
"Let go!" Adele struggled to look up from within Noah Reyes’s arms, glaring at him furiously. Were perverts so brazen these days, daring to take advantage of her in front of all these people?
"Adele!" Noah Reyes caught her hands, and all the bags fell to the ground. He locked her tightly in his embrace and said in a hoarse voice, "You’ve made search so hard for you."
"You damned bastard, you filthy pervert, who are you? Let go of , I don’t know you! I warn you, if you don’t let go, I’m calling the police! I’ll sue you to death!" Adele swore furiously.
"I am Billy’s daddy," Noah Reyes stared into her eyes, articulating every word.
"I don’t care who you are... What? What did you say? You said you’re Billy’s daddy? You... you’re him?" Adele was completely dumbfounded.
He was Noah Reyes! The man who had taken advantage of her when she was drugged and not in her right mind, the man who had stolen her innocence! The one responsible for her unwed pregnancy, the reason she had endured endless gossip and scandal! How was he here? How was he with her son? Could it be...
"Billy has no daddy, you’ve got the wrong person!" Adele raised her foot and stomped hard on Noah Reyes’s. Then she lowered her head and bit into Noah Reyes’s hand. As he flinched in pain, she forcefully pushed him away. She hastily ran forward, snatched her son’s hand from the man in black, and tried to leave with him.
"Lady of the Sect Leader!"
A dozen n in black instantly blocked her and her son’s path.
Lady of the Sect Leader? Adele’s face turned ashen.
"Shut up! Who is your Lady of the Sect Leader! Move! Right now, this instant, move aside!" Adele bent down to pick up her son, worried that Noah Reyes would snatch him away. At the sa ti, she shouted at the n blocking their way, her voice filled with panic.
Her hands trembling, she hurriedly fished out her phone, intending to call her older brother for help.
She had just taken out her phone when a large hand swept in and snatched it away. It was Noah Reyes.
Noah Reyes imdiately turned off her phone and removed the SIM card and battery. The back of his hand, where she had bitten him, bore a deep set of teeth marks from which beads of blood seed to be seeping.
"Take the lady and the young master away!" Noah Reyes commanded domineeringly.
"Noah Reyes! How dare you!" Adele Horne was furious, holding her son tightly and glaring at Noah Reyes, the man who had taken her innocence. It was only now that she truly saw what he looked like.
Her son resembled him greatly, at least seventy percent.
No wonder her son felt a liking for him the first ti he saw him; the father and son really looked so much alike.
"Adele, if you’re willing to go with , I can..."
"Don’t call Adele. We’re not close, please address as Miss Horne! Why should I go with you? Who are you to ? What right do you have to make go with you? I would rather go with a stranger than with you! Noah Reyes, I warn you, if you dare to have your n take us away by force, I will make you regret it!" Adele Horne’s face turned beet red.
She was so angry her stomach ached. This man was so domineering the mont he t her. If he really ca to take her son, what could she do?
Noah Reyes watched her intently. The bright store lights illuminated her beautiful features clearly. He had seen her in his dreams thousands of tis and had sketched her likeness on paper just as often. After all these years, he finally saw her again. How could he just let her leave with the child? Her fierce deanor made it even harder for him to look away. With her large eyes wide and her pretty face flushed, she was so beautiful that he longed to pull her into his embrace once more.
"Give my phone back!" Adele Horne forcefully demanded.
Noah Reyes didn’t give another command; his n didn’t make a move for now.
Noah Reyes handed her back her phone, but it was without a SIM card and battery.
"Damn it, I need the battery and the SIM card!" Adele Horne went from scared to frantic.
"You said the phone." Noah Reyes took a step closer. Adele imdiately retreated, holding her son, but the n in black blocked her. She had no way out and was forced to face Noah Reyes, whose focused gaze burned with intense longing and deep yearning.
Damn him, wasn’t he here to take her son? Why was he looking at her like that? What other ulterior motives did he have? Adele speculated silently.
"Fourth Uncle!" Suddenly, Jimmy Horne shouted towards the entrance.
Adele Horne imdiately followed her son’s shout and looked towards the store’s entrance.
Noah Reyes’s brow furrowed slightly. How could they encounter a mber of the Horne Family at this ti?
Jas Horne walked in with Rebecca Hughes. They too were surprised to see Jimmy Horne here.
"Jas," Adele Horne saw Jas and felt as if she had found her savior. She imdiately tried to move towards him, holding her son, but the n in black still blocked her path. Jimmy Horne, whom she was holding, suddenly stretched out his hand, leaned his small body forward, and wrapped his arms around a man in black’s neck. The man thought Jimmy Horne wanted to be picked up and reached out to hold him, but instead, Jimmy bit down hard on the man’s ear.
"UGH!" The man hadn’t expected the Young Master to bite him—the ear was a vulnerable spot. Being bitten so suddenly made him cry out in muffled pain as he instinctively clutched it. Adele Horne imdiately pushed past that man, holding Jimmy Horne, and quickly ran behind Jas to hide.
Noah Reyes witnessed his son’s reaction and quick wits in their entirety. This boy is promising material! When he got vicious, he was every bit my equal.
