Julia wrapped her arms around Glades' neck while he buried his head in her neck. The couple fell silent for a brief mont, silently embracing, breathing in each other's scent, and listening to each other's heartbeat.
"Glades."
After a while, Julia softly called out.
"Hmm."
"Do you think there might be sparks between Adele and Noah Reyes?"
Glades Horne remained silent. Setting aside Noah Reyes's identity and his thods for a mont, he was undoubtedly a dragon among n, both in appearance and abilities. He was the kind of man that made won's hearts race at just a glance. Adele had never truly been in love before. If Noah Reyes wasn't as forceful with her as he had been with them, it was very possible for sparks to fly between them. Adele might hold resentnt towards Noah Reyes, but after all, there was Jimmy Horne between them—how long could that resentnt last? If Noah Reyes were to make ands and take great care of her, Adele would certainly soften.
"The mont I saw the necklace that Jimmy is wearing now around Adele's neck, I had a premonition. I felt that Noah Reyes had a good impression of Adele, and it was very possible he would seek her out in the future. My feeling turned out to be correct," Julia said with a bit of sentintality. "Such plotlines are common in novels but rarely happen in real life. Adele, though unfortunate, is also lucky in a sense."
"You! When did you read so many novels, filling your head with such impractical things? I rember you haven't read novels for a long ti, have you? You were most crazy about them when you were fifteen or sixteen. All day long, you'd be clutching a romance novel, reading avidly. It's such a waste you didn't beco a writer yourself." Glades propped himself up, sat on the edge of the bed, and affectionately scratched Julia's nose with his finger.
Julia also sat up, intimately resting her head on his shoulder and laughing, "It's a teenage girl's phase. Many people go through it."
Glades laughed lightly, wrapping his arm around her shoulder and responding, "Don't forget, Adele has refused to have any further relationship with Noah Reyes." That little rascal, all caught up in romantic thoughts, completely overlooking that his sister doesn't want any romance.
"Hehe..." Julia chuckled a few tis, looking up at him with bright, almond-shaped eyes, and said, "If I were Adele and you were Noah Reyes, would you give up? Would you leave for good?"
"No! I would carry you away if I had to!" Glades answered without a second thought.
"There you go. Just keep on prodding. Let Noah Reyes know how precious Adele is, how precious Jimmy is," Julia said suddenly with a mischievous smile.
He knew she wouldn't be so kind as to plead Noah Reyes's case. She wanted to ss with Noah Reyes even more than he did. It was just that she had played the good cop, and he had to play the bad cop.
