"Alright, I'll be right there," Glades Horne replied in a deep voice.

After ending the call with Benjamin Robinson, he turned his head to look at his wife beside him. Julia was also looking at him. Seeing a trace of seriousness on his face, Julia said considerately, "If there's sothing you need to take care of, go ahead. Ivan and I will take a walk here and then head back."

"Jas got drunk at Sapphire Moon Pub, got into a fight while drunk, and was taken to the Police Station," Glades said in a low voice.

Julia was startled, then hurriedly responded, "Then you should go check on him quickly."

Glades nodded and then took out his phone to call his Bodyguards, asking them to drive over and pick him up.

A few minutes later, the silver Rolls-Royce pulled up beside Glades.

Before getting into the car, Glades looked at Julia with concern.

Julia smiled reassuringly. "It's still early. Look, so many people are out walking; as far as the eye can see, there are people. Ivan and I will be fine, don't worry. I assure you we'll be ho before dark."

Glades didn't speak, took out his phone again, and called Ruby Bluen to co and keep Julia company. Only after Ruby arrived did he feel at ease to get into the car and have the Bodyguards drive towards the Police Station.

Marcel Horne had fully recovered. He planned to return to the military next month. With half a month left, he thought about spending quality ti with Ruby.

Ruby was pregnant, only recently so.

The Horne and Bluen Families were overjoyed once again because of Ruby's pregnancy.

Ruby had also returned to work at the Bluen Family consortium, but her workload was halved. Leo Bluen, feeling for his sister, had taken on half of her responsibilities, telling her to just sign docunts while he handled the rest.

Her younger brother's consideration made both Ruby and Julia happy.

After all, the Bluen Family consortium still needed her younger brother to inherit it.

"Is there an ergency with Glades?" Ruby Bluen asked while she and Julia pushed the stroller forward, glancing at the sunset still lingering in the western sky, seemingly reluctant to dip below the horizon. The golden, red-tinged sunset was always so beautiful; it was just a sha that dusk was approaching.

Ruby, who was newly pregnant, didn't seem any different; she didn't even have any signs of morning sickness.

When Sovia Morris and her husband found out about her pregnancy, their joy was so great it couldn't be matched even by ten Mila Andersons combined.

"Jas got drunk at a pub, got into a fight, and was taken to the Police Station. Glades has gone to deal with it," Julia said. Her mood beca a bit somber. Jas has an aloof exterior and isn't very approachable or talkative, but he isn't an impulsive person; he wouldn't hit soone without reason. The other party must have provoked him, saying or doing sothing to anger him.

"The matter concerning Pheobe Rogers had affected him too deeply," Ruby sighed.

Julia remained silent. Her sister was stating a fact.

No matter how annoying or hateful Pheobe Rogers was, she was still Jas Horne's mother. There was affection between mother and son. Pheobe Rogers had taken an extre path and was eventually caught by the law. The court's verdict would be out in a few days. From what they understood, Pheobe Rogers would be sentenced to at least ten years in prison, possibly even life imprisonnt, because her cris were so heinous. Ivan was fine, but if anything had happened to him, she would have faced the death penalty.

After the incident involving Pheobe Rogers, Jas Horne also dreaded returning to the Horne family ho. He felt he had let his family down, even though no one blad him; the fault lay with his mother, not with him.

"I hope he can see past this. He's actually quite pitiable," Julia sighed softly.

What I hope for most is for a woman who won't care about Jas being an illegitimate child, who can selflessly care for him, help him escape the shadow his mother cast, and, crucially, help him move past his infatuation with . That woman is probably Rebecca Hughes.

A black Audi glided through the evening breeze and stopped in front of the two sisters.

"Julia."

The car door opened, and a voice—not quite deep, yet not high-pitched either—drifted out, followed by a dapper figure erging from the car. The figure wore a black suit over a blue shirt, accented with a pink tie.

Julia looked up, her expression flickering slightly before returning to normal. She had put on her sunglasses and let her hair down; throughout their walk, few people had noticed who she was. Silvia Baxter, however, had recognized her instantly. Sothing's off about this, Julia mused, her face betraying nothing.

She stopped walking, looking coolly at Silvia Baxter as she got out of the car. Silvia Baxter also took out a large bouquet of fiery red roses from the car and walked towards her with a charming smile, holding the roses.

Silvia Baxter walked up to Julia and offered her the bouquet of roses. "Julia, these flowers are for you."

Julia didn't accept her flowers.

A woman giving another woman red roses felt extrely repulsive to her.

Why is this lesbian here again? She ca twice while I was in my postpartum confinent and was turned away both tis. She didn't show up for the full-month celebration, but now, here she is again—and right when Glades is out handling things!

"Julia, who is he?" Ruby asked. She had mistaken Silvia Baxter for a man.

Silvia Baxter dressed so much like a man that wherever she went, everyone would mistakenly address her as Mr. Baxter rather than Miss Baxter.

"Sister, let's go ho." Julia wanted to ignore Silvia Baxter and, pushing her son's stroller, began to turn away.

"Julia."

Silvia Baxter imdiately hurried in front of her, blocking her path, her dark eyes fixed on Julia.

Summoning a smile she believed to be her most devastating, Silvia Baxter said ingratiatingly, "Would you do the honor of having dinner together? We are acquaintances, after all, and could even be considered friends, couldn't we? Besides, the collaborative relationship between our Baxter Family and your Horne Family is quite substantial."
