Pheobe Rogers was so furious and disoriented by Julia Bluen and Mila Anderson that she nearly blurted out Jas Horne's love for Julia. Doing so would undoubtedly have driven Jas out of the Horne Family!
Gian Horne's face turned even redder, displaying his embarrassnt more clearly.
With a flick of his hand, he walked into the house like a man fleeing calamity, his old face beet-red.
In front of his daughter-in-law, and in front of his wife and children, he was the most disgraced. Every word they uttered was like a whip lashing fiercely against his face, making him realize how shaless and despicable he was. His children still respectfully called him "Dad," yet he knew he had been far too indulgent.
As for Pheobe Rogers, his disappointnt in her grew, and he beca more and more reluctant to deal with her.
"Gian..." Gian Horne was Pheobe Rogers's most powerful talisman. Once he left, what support would she have?
In the end, at the critical mont, he chose his family, and his family had no place for her. This cruel reality caused Pheobe Rogers's heart to twist in pain even more, her mind clouded further, and her resentnt to deepen.
"Gian..." Pheobe Rogers cried out, wanting to follow him into the house. Just then, Jas Horne happened to co downstairs. Her sharp eyes caught sight of him, and like a shaless shrew, she sat on the ground and cried hysterically.
The bodyguards with caras captured her every unflattering mont.
"Take it to the dia tomorrow; make sure she can't stay here any longer! Rember, the previous photos need so processing!" Julia Bluen instructed the bodyguard in a cold, low voice.
When she got tough, she was every bit as ruthless as Glades Horne.
Even if the dia didn't report the truth, people's hatred for "the other woman" would make them believe the reports. Then, Pheobe Rogers would beco the target of public scorn, drowned by criticism and accused of getting what she deserved. She would suffer from nothing but their schadenfreude.
She could guarantee that once she had the photos processed and sent to the dia, Pheobe Rogers would instantly beco a notorious star! Pheobe Rogers would be subjected to public gloating, while the Horne Family remained unscathed. At most, people would say Gian Horne had finally co to his senses and Mila Anderson had finally seen her perseverance pay off. They would hope the old couple, after experiencing emotional infidelity, would see things clearly and truly grow old together.
Sotis, people's hearts are biased.
As long as the man returns to his wife, all his past mistakes can be forgiven. But the other woman who interfered with soone else's family could never, ever be forgiven by the world, even though everyone knows it takes two hands to clap.
"Julia Bluen! You dare!" Pheobe Rogers roared.
Julia Bluen's move was indeed ruthless, using others to push her into a Hell from which there was no return.
This woman, with a lovely face and seemingly gentle personality, had such a vicious mind!
Now she was on the verge of losing everything. If Julia Bluen treated her like this, her situation would beco even more humiliating. As soon as she stepped out the door, people would point at her, saying she deserved it, claiming it was her retribution, and pronouncing it her downfall. The power of the dia was imnse; it could turn an unknown nobody into a notorious figure. People who didn't know her would co to know her, only to condemn her!
"I, Julia Bluen, have lived until now with nothing I wouldn't dare to do!" Julia Bluen smiled faintly. Her smile was in stark contrast to the cold ruthlessness with which she had just given instructions.
"I'll fight you!"
Rage surged from Pheobe Rogers's heart, and malice emboldened her. She charged headfirst towards Julia Bluen's stomach.
Julia, now over four months pregnant, could be seriously hard if knocked down, and the child in her womb might not survive.
"Julia, be careful!"
"Julia!"
Several cries of alarm sounded.
"Mom!" Jas Horne, quick-witted, grabbed hold of Pheobe Rogers, while Julia's bodyguards quickly moved to shield Julia, retreating. Uncle Ying decisively called over four male servants, instructing, "Throw her out!"
The four male servants imdiately advanced.
"Jas..." Pheobe Rogers shrieked, her hair becoming disheveled. The sowhat elegant appearance she used to have vanished without a trace.
"Don't touch my mom!" Jas Horne snapped, shielding Pheobe Rogers.
No matter what, she was his mother; he couldn't allow servants to throw her out like trash right in front of him.
His father's emotional betrayal had already caused his mother great harm. Julia's cold and heartless instruction just now would push his mother's pain to its peak. He didn't want to side with his mother, but from a son's perspective, he felt compelled to support her.
"Fourth Young Master!"
"Jas, Jas, you're all Mom has left now; you must help Mom! Look, look at the despicable expressions they're wearing while bullying your mom! Jas, who is closest to you? It's only your mom, right? You and your mom are the closest. To you, they are all outsiders!" At this critical mont, Pheobe Rogers was still intent on pitting Jas Horne against the Horne Family, trying to incite Jas's animosity toward them.
Julia sighed heavily in her heart.
Poor Jas, it was truly hard for him. Even at this mont, his mother saw him as nothing but a tool to be used!
"Jas, look at Julia Bluen, she..."
"Mom, no matter what, you can't think about hurting Julia, and you especially can't think about harming her unborn child! Rember what I told you last night!" Jas Horne turned, his handso face etched with distress as he let out a pained cry. The pain was like wild vines entangling a large tree, binding him tightly.
Oh heavens, when would his mother ever settle down and return him to a peaceful life? What he dreaded even more was the thought of what might have happened if he hadn't been quick enough to grab his mother. If Julia had been hard by his mother's charge, how could he possibly face his dear older brother, Glades? His brother had made him swear on his life, vowing to ensure the safety of Julia and her child.
"Jas Horne, if you really care about Julia, send your mother away now!" Mila Anderson and Adele Horne were also terrified by Pheobe Rogers's recent action, hastening to Julia's side.
