"Dr. Lei, there's nothing else for now. You can just focus on helping the Second Young Master with his rehabilitation treatnt," Glades Horne instructed Dr. Lei coldly. He should go out and hire an experienced female obstetrician-gynecologist as the family doctor, especially now that there are two pregnant won in the house. "From now on, no one is allowed to inquire about the baby's gender through Dr. Lei. Whether it's a boy or a girl, I'll accept it. If any of you can't accept this, you can sever ties with ."

In the end, Glades Horne added one more sentence with the sa coldness.

He was putting his foot down!

If he didn't, given his mother's character, she would still inquire about the baby's gender, and he didn't want his beloved wife to be under constantly increasing pressure.

Dr. Lei nodded, then turned and left.

The few family mbers present were all frightened by Glades Horne's words.

Mila Anderson mumbled, wanting to say sothing, but ultimately chose to remain silent. After all, she had gotten the answer she wanted, so she figured it was better not to ask in the future.

"Julia, co. Let take you out for a walk." Glades Horne reached out, helped Julia Bluen up, and then headed towards the parking lot.

Jas Horne stood silently in place, silently watching his elder brother and sister-in-law leave.

"Glades, what you said just now was a bit harsh," Julia said as she got into the car. While buckling her seatbelt, she turned her head to look at Glades Horne, who was also getting in. He hadn't specified their destination and didn't have his own two bodyguards follow. Instead, he only instructed the four bodyguards protecting her to follow in another car.

"If I'm not harsh, they won't be afraid anymore. It's because of you," Glades Horne said. He closed the car door, gave her a deep look, then started the engine. He drove the car out of the Horne Family villa, following the winding and fairly broad road that led away from the estate.

Once the New Year passed, it seed the scent of spring was already in the air.

The roadside flowers and plants had all quietly changed. Leaves were subtly turning greener, and small blades of grass were silently sprouting new shoots. The breath of spring was gently approaching.

When the first spring rains arrived, the earth would rejuvenate. Golden Kirin Garden would beco as beautiful and enchanting as a paradise on earth, complete with its mountains, water, bridges, flowers, and grass.

"So, you're saying it's my fault then?" Julia discerned the hidden aning in his words. She giggled softly, her almond-shaped eyes curving like two new moons, making her look utterly captivating.

Glades Horne didn't speak, rely pursing his lips. The corners of his mouth curved slightly into an almost imperceptible, indulgent smile.

Because he loved her, because he doted on her, everyone felt that as long as she was present, even if he lost his temper, she could calm him down. That was why, if he wasn't harsh, his family wouldn't fear him as much anymore.

Fortunately, she was an astute woman who knew when to give him face. She wouldn't always use his love for her to diminish his authority.

After leaving Golden Kirin Garden and getting onto the main road, they drove for a while before turning onto the downtown streets.

Julia Bluen was a bit surprised to see flowers for sale everywhere on the streets—especially roses, with many people eagerly hawking them.

Suddenly, she rembered: today was February 14th on the solar calendar—Western Valentine's Day!

No wonder so many people were rushing to buy roses.

Roses were expensive on this day and also the most sought-after. Most n would buy roses for the won they loved. Alternatively, they might use this romantic occasion to send flowers to won they admired, expressing their affection.

Valentine's Day... what gift should I give my man?

Clothes? Ties? Flowers?

Clothes and ties might work. As for flowers... I'm afraid he wouldn't like them.

Glades Horne parked the car in front of the largest Flower Shop.

He turned his head, his deep eyes twinkling with love, his previously pursed lips now gently parting as he said softly, "Julia, wait in the car for a mont. I'm going out to buy sothing." Then, Glades Horne's tall figure maneuvered out of the car and walked into the Flower Shop.

I know he's going to buy flowers for , Julia Bluen thought. Even though she already knew, she still waited with imnse anticipation for the mont he would hand her a bouquet of roses.

Any woman would love to receive flowers on Valentine's Day.

A mont later, Glades Horne returned, maneuvering back into the car with a large bouquet of roses. He handed the vibrant arrangent to Julia Bluen and said deeply, "Honey, Happy Valentine's Day."

Julia laughed as she accepted the large bouquet of roses. Then, with another smile, she leaned in and gave him a quick, loud SMOOCH on his handso face. "Thank you," she said, still smiling.

He had given her a bouquet and received a kiss from his beloved wife in return. Glades Horne was even happier than Julia Bluen was to receive the flowers, his eyes and brows crinkling with a delighted, silly grin.

"Do you like them?"

"As long as they're from you, I'll like them."

Glades Horne asked softly, "Is there anywhere you want to go?"

"Yes, Pedestrian Street."

It's my turn to pick out a gift for him, she thought.

"As you wish, my dearest wife."

WHOOSH! The car sped off.

Pedestrian Street was bustling with people. Many daughters from wealthy families and ladies from prestigious households were flitting in and out of the various shops. Since the New Year had just passed, it was still the holiday period. Coincidentally, it was also Valentine's Day, so everyone was in a more festive shopping mood than usual.

When the couple stepped out of the car and onto Pedestrian Street, many people greeted them.

Previously, Julia Bluen had kept a low profile. Apart from a few top-tier young ladies from prominent families, not many people recognized her. However, since marrying Glades Horne and becoming the young mistress of the Horne Family, she could no longer maintain such a low profile. Besides, Glades Horne was famously devoted to his wife, so everyone had beco more familiar with her.

Now, like Glades Horne, she had beco a public figure—and a particularly eye-catching one at that. They were recognized wherever they went.

Julia Bluen walked straight into a high-end n's clothing boutique and picked out a black suit for Glades Horne. Most of his suits were custom-made; he rarely bought them off the rack. Fortunately, this boutique stocked designer brands that were authentic and of excellent quality—though, of course, they ca with a hefty price tag.
