She thought about how the family's household registration book was in her own hands; even if Hansen Ruiz really wanted to marry Rachel Bailey, without the household registration book, they couldn't get registered.
"She's not your Ruiz Family's daughter-in-law, so why should she enter the gates of your Ruiz Family mansion!"
The door was pushed open as Hansen Ruiz strode in, pulled up Rachel Bailey, and said indifferently to Mrs. Ruiz, "Mom, this is my wife. We've already registered our marriage. If you acknowledge her, you'll have a daughter-in-law; if you don't, you'll lose a son. Whether we enter the gates of the Ruiz Family mansion doesn't matter to us; I can support my wife. Even without the Ruiz Family, I can still live just fine."
After speaking, he pulled Rachel Bailey towards the outside, saying, "Rachel, let's go."
Rachel Bailey's words and Hansen Ruiz's sudden arrival left Mrs. Ruiz utterly stunned. How could Hansen have arrived so quickly this ti?
"Hansen," she called out as Hansen Ruiz was about to lead Rachel out, and asked, her heart aching, "Are you threatening ? Hansen, what's so good about her? She has nothing. How can she be of any help to you?"
"What's good about her is none of your concern, Mom. It's enough that I know she's good. I already have everything; she doesn't need to have anything more. As long as she has a heart that loves , that's sufficient. I am marrying a wife, not an assistant, and I certainly don't need her help with anything," Hansen Ruiz stopped, turned around, and said to Mrs. Ruiz word by word, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, our wedding ceremony with Rachel is set for the twentieth of the twelfth lunar month. If you're free, Mom, co to St. Rowan Cathedral in T City with Dad to be our wedding officiant. If you're not in a good mood or too busy, it's fine if you don't co."
"Hansen Ruiz!" Mrs. Ruiz yelled his full na in anger.
These two had not only truly registered their marriage, but they'd also set the wedding date.
Who could it be among the family mbers? Who had betrayed her!
Without the household registration book, she refused to believe that Hansen Ruiz could actually get registered; there must be a traitor in the family who stole the book and delivered it to Hansen.
Detestable!
"Oh, by the way, the household registration book was brought to by your second son. If you're angry, feel free to kick him out too. You can spend the rest of your life with your tyranny, your despotism, and your snobbery all by yourself," he said ironically, then pulled Rachel Bailey away.
Simon!
Mrs. Ruiz was very angry, very angry indeed, but after hearing Hansen Ruiz's sarcastic words, her heart began to ache. In her son's eyes, she was just a tyrannical, despotic, snobby mother!
She slumped back onto the sofa, powerless, her complexion turning ghastly.
Hansen had registered for marriage. Could she still force him to get a divorce? No! This son was the least afraid of her. He was the most capable; even without the Ruiz Family, he could still make a world of his own. If she went ho right now and skinned her second son alive, she might actually lose another son.
Mrs. Ruiz thought for a long ti. Although she was very angry, in the end, she decided not to hold Simon accountable.
As for Rachel Bailey, she would never accept her anyway.
「Valence.」
A flashy sports car sped to the front of the Valence Group's company building and then ca to an abrupt stop.
The security guard imdiately ca out, walked up to the car, and asked politely, "Sir, who are you looking for?"
Silvia Baxter glanced at the large bunch of lilies on the passenger seat before turning to answer the security guard, "Is your boss, Miss Bluen, in the company? I'm here to see her. I'm a friend; my last na is Baxter, first na Silvia."
Silvia Baxter had co to T City with her father to discuss a contract renewal with the Valence Group. After the contract was signed, her father left first. She said she liked T City and wanted to stay a few more days to enjoy herself, and her father agreed. But before he left, he repeatedly reminded her not to set her sights on Julia Bluen.
Glades Horne was a local tough, not to be ssed with. If you angered him and were bitten, it would be deadly.
Silvia Baxter promised with a smile, only to turn around and head straight for Julia Bluen as soon as her father left.
"Please wait a mont." The security guard turned and walked back into the security office. He picked up the internal phone and called the front desk directly to convey Silvia Baxter's purpose. The receptionist then called Anne Jones, Julia Bluen's secretary, who in turn inford Julia Bluen.
Julia Bluen was in a eting with managers from the developnt, engineering, and production departnts. The eting had just ended when Anne Jones inford her of Silvia Baxter's arrival.
Silvia Baxter?
Julia Bluen tried hard to rember. Who was that?
Suddenly, she recalled the gathering four days earlier when she had accompanied Glades Horne and t Silvia Baxter, a woman dressed as a man.
Why had she co to see her?
The two had only t once and could hardly be said to have any friendship.
Considering, however, that the Baxter Family had cooperated with the Valence Group for decades, becoming one of its largest clients, Julia Bluen instructed Anne Jones to let Silvia Baxter in.
Monts later, Silvia Baxter, led by Anne Jones, entered Julia Bluen's office carrying the large bunch of lilies.
"Miss Bluen, Mr. Baxter is here."
Julia Bluen nodded, stood up from behind her desk, walked around it, and greeted Silvia Baxter with a light smile, "Miss Baxter, please take a seat."
Anne Jones, who hadn't fully left the office, paused for a second after hearing Julia Bluen's form of address. She turned her head, looking incredulously at Julia Bluen, her eyes filled with surprise, thinking perhaps Julia had mistaken the person.
Silvia Baxter wore a black n's suit and had short hair. She was as tall as a model, one hundred seventy-three centiters. Because of her height and attire, she was usually mistaken for a man; even Glades Horne had initially thought she was one.
