The old lady sat down on the sofa and gestured for the couple to sit beside her.

"Grandma, what do you want to talk to us about alone?" Julia asked after sitting down.

Glades Horne rely pursed his lips, a sullen aura enveloping him.

The old lady also reined in her earlier joy. Her tone grew serious and earnest as she looked at Glades Horne and asked, "Glades, are you not taking Julia back ho anymore? Planning to stay here for good?"

Glades Horne's sharp eyebrows rose, his lips pressing even tighter as he remained silent.

Believing he truly intended this, the old lady imdiately grew anxious. She grabbed Julia's hand and said worriedly, "Glades, Grandma knows what happened last night distressed Julia and made you upset, but you've already punished them. You have no idea how they are living today. People accustod to luxury, finding themselves penniless all of a sudden—that's practically a death sentence for them. Except for Adele, who ran out because soone ca looking for her, everyone else dutifully stayed ho, keeping an old woman like company. They've been punished, and they are all your relatives, so don't hold it against them anymore. Julia is my favorite granddaughter-in-law; I won't allow you to keep her here long-term. She must move back in."

Julia was ninety percent likely pregnant. For this reason alone, the old lady wouldn't allow Glades Horne and Julia Bluen to move out of the Horne Family Mansion.

"Grandma..."

"Julia, don't talk. Grandma wants Glades to answer," the old lady interrupted Julia, knowing that if this couple didn't return to the Main House, it was all Glades Horne's idea.

This grandson loved Julia too much; he couldn't tolerate anyone hurting even a single hair on her head.

She had already sent people to investigate and had learned about the actions Glades Horne took to retaliate against Orlando Evans throughout last night and all day today. The Evans Family had collapsed overnight, the news even making the front-page headlines; it was a major story in T City. She didn't feel sorry for Orlando's fate; Orlando had it coming.

Anyone trying to break up Glades Horne and Julia Bluen, I'd curse them to Hell! Well, it seems cursing others ans my own life might be cut short. Never mind, I'm already in my eighties. Even if my life is shortened, there isn't much to lose. So I'll just bluntly curse in my heart those ho-wreckers who want to split up my precious grandson and granddaughter-in-law! Orlando is practically Pheobe Rogers' successor. Back then, I couldn't deal with Pheobe Rogers; my good-for-nothing eldest son insisted on being with her. Now, my grandson is truly and deeply in love with Julia, so naturally, Orlando has to be punished until she's crying for her parents!

"Grandma, who told you that Julia and I aren't going back?" Glades Horne leaned back into the sofa, looking askance at the old lady, and asked coolly.

The old lady was taken aback; she hadn't heard it from anyone. It was her own speculation.

"This is the ho I gifted to Julia, a ho that belongs to just the two of us. Occasionally, we return to this little ho to enjoy our private world, flirt, and express our love. Is that not allowed?" Glades Horne continued, his tone still cool.

He was indeed furious about what happened last night. But they were his family, after all. Once he had vented his anger and punished them, he suppressed those feelings deep down. He would rember it, but he wouldn't lash out easily again, nor would he hold any grudges.

Moreover, Julia Bluen didn't want him to remain at odds with his family.

She had said, "A harmonious family leads to prosperity in all things."

For her sake and that saying, he would try to suppress any displeasure, unless his family dared to provoke his fury once more. He figured they wouldn't have the guts to rile him up again.

He understood Julia's temperant very well. Given ti, she would undoubtedly win over the genuine affection and acceptance of all his family mbers, without him needing to resort to forceful asures.

Hearing this, the old lady was montarily stunned. It seed she had been worrying for nothing.

So, she imdiately laughed heartily. "That's good, that's good! Then there's no issue. Grandma will head back first. You two continue to flirt and express your love. But Glades, don't overindulge, alright? Julia is ninety percent likely to be pregnant with my precious great-grandson! If you dare hurt him, I'll skin you alive!" The old lady's affections shifted quickly. One mont Glades Horne was her precious darling grandson; the next, she was threatening to skin him.

Glades Horne's rcurial temperant was most likely inherited from the old lady, Julia silently chuckled to herself, guessing this.

Glades Horne's expression darkened again. His son would be *his* in the future; the old lady shouldn't even think about monopolizing him.

Now, whenever it was a day off, the old lady would even compete with him for Julia.

If it was his son the old lady was trying to snatch, he would definitely lose his patience with her.

But the old lady was an elder, and he couldn't just forcefully snatch the child. Blinking, Glades Horne thought devilishly, When the ti cos, I'll take my son to the office with . I'll earn money and be a Dad at the sa ti. Let's see how Grandma tries to snatch my son then!

It wasn't even confird if Julia was truly pregnant, yet this grandmother-grandson duo was already preparing to fight over the child. What a pair!

Like grandmother, like grandson.

"Grandma!" Julia's face flushed crimson. The old lady was truly an incorrigible tease.

The old lady laughed heartily. She had the couple help her downstairs and then commanded the twin brothers to drive her ho.

"Grandma."

As the twins helped the old lady to the doorway of the Main House, Glades Horne suddenly called out to her in a low voice. When she turned to look at him, he said with a hint of pleading, "About Julia possibly being pregnant, please don't say anything yet. Let's wait until it's confird."

The old lady nodded in understanding.

Glades Horne then glanced at his two younger brothers. The twins quickly raised the white flag, chiming in unison, "We won't say a word!"

Only then was Glades Horne satisfied and let them leave.

Julia saw them off at the door, reminding the twins to drive carefully.

"Sister Julia, with Big Brother's temperant, only you could find it sweet," Harry Horne said after getting into the car. He rolled down the window, winked at Julia Bluen, and teased with a playful smile.

Julia smiled. She didn't find Glades Horne difficult to get along with at all. In fact, she particularly enjoyed being with him.

After seeing the old lady off, Julia closed the villa's main gates. As she turned around, she bumped straight into Glades Horne's embrace. His iron-like arms snaked around her waist automatically, the movent both domineering and gentle, as if he were afraid of hurting sothing precious.
