Hansen Ruiz asked in surprise, "What happened?" Glades Horne had actually ordered him to suspend the monthly allowance for his second and third uncles; he was truly taken aback.

"Carry out the order!"

Glades Horne coldly tossed out the command. Hansen Ruiz, sensing that his loyal confidant and boss was currently engulfed in raging flas, imdiately responded with palpable anxiety, "Okay!"

Then he hastily ended the call. As if fearing he would be reduced to ashes.

Sovia Morris and Viola Hanley exchanged a shocked glance, their expressions changing dramatically. Sovia Morris opened her mouth several tis to speak, but Viola Hanley stopped her each ti. If they spoke up now, it would likely add another three months to their financial restrictions. Consequently, they would have to live a ager middle-class existence for half a year, rather than their accustod life of luxury.

Viola Hanley wasn't afraid. After all, her twin sons each owned a company, ensuring she wouldn't end up as pitiable as Mila Anderson.

However, Viola Hanley was too optimistic. When Glades Horne took action, he left no chance for his opponents to turn the tables unless he himself provided it. Otherwise, they would remain suppressed.

"Henry, Harry, Jas, if you three don't want your companies' profit margins to hit zero, you'd better manage your own money well. Other than for yourselves, you are not to give anyone a single cent. Give one cent, and I'll make your profit for one month zero. Give two cents, and it will be two months, and so on."

This extinguished Viola Hanley's last spark of hope.

The three young masters looked at each other, then at their grandmother, and finally nodded helplessly. For three months, the family would temporarily be unable to live as lavishly as before. After that, things would return to normal. But if their companies' profits dropped to zero for even one month, they would lose tens of millions. Besides, if they were to actually give their parents money, they wouldn't just give a cent or two, would they? Giving their parents even a di or two could wipe out an entire year's profit for their companies. That was too great a loss, so they had no choice but to accept their fate.

They had only themselves to bla for carelessly returning to watch the drama, only to ironically beco the subjects of it—and a wretched drama at that.

Since their Big Brother had made such a declaration, he undoubtedly had the power to reduce their companies' profits to zero. Sigh, all they could do was accept their fate.

Eventually, it was the grandmother's turn. She looked at Glades Horne with expectant eyes, uncertain how he would deal with her.

"Grandma, I won't freeze your money. However, if you give them even one cent, I will not hesitate to temporarily freeze all assets under your na." Regardless of whose na the assets were under, control was ultimately held by the heir of the Valence Group.

Glades Horne was the true head of the Horne family in this generation.

For daring to bully the cherished favorite of the family head, such a punishnt was still too lenient.

The grandmother heaved a deep sigh of relief, feeling fortunate that she had always sided with Julia Bluen.

"Julia." After punishing all the family mbers, Glades Horne's anger subsided slightly. He tenderly lifted Julia Bluen, walked over to sit beside his grandmother, and took the ice from the head maid's hand. Gently, he began applying it to Julia's face, completely ignoring the resentful glares from the rest of the family.

Julia Bluen stared at him, witnessing for the first ti his decisive and resolute manner of handling matters. No wonder outsiders fawned over and flattered him so desperately; this man was as powerful as an ancient Emperor, controlling the livelihoods of so many.

"This is a warning."

Glades Horne's eyes were fixed only on Julia Bluen, but his words were ant for the entire family. The ssage was clear: if the events of tonight were to happen again, the consequences would extend far beyond a re economic blockade.

Anyone capable enough was welco to try and wrest the CEO position of the Valence Group from him!

A head maid ca downstairs with two other female servants. Perhaps because Adele Horne was usually so overbearing and unreasonable, the servants disliked her. Seizing the opportunity, the two female servants confiscated all the jewelry from her room, even other valuables, and brought them downstairs. As for cash, Adele Horne truly didn't have a single cent left.

Glades Horne also ordered two bodyguards and the steward to pack all of Adele Horne's cash and jewelry into a large box, which was then placed in his study room and locked up, untouchable by anyone.

Adele Horne was infuriated yet helpless. Who else could she bla but herself for being so foolish as to be instigated by Orlando Evans into framing Julia Bluen? Orlando Evans? Her big brother had just ordered soone to apprehend Orlando Evans and bring her here. Adele Horne suddenly shivered. If he could be so ruthless towards her, his own sister, what would he do to Orlando Evans? Their family still had Julia Bluen to advocate for them. Although Julia was the one most wronged, she was still soft-hearted. But when it ca to Orlando Evans, Julia would absolutely offer no protection. Adele Horne dared not even imagine what fate awaited Orlando Evans once she was captured and brought before them.

Mila Anderson pulled Adele Horne back to a different sofa and instructed the head maid to fetch more ice.

"The young lady enjoys slapping her own face until it's swollen like this. It's her own doing. The ice is to be reserved for the Eldest Young Mistress," Glades Horne stated coldly, just as the head maid was turning to get ice for Adele Horne's face. The head maid froze.

"Glades," Julia Bluen tugged at his sleeve, then said to the head maid, "Please, do as Mrs. Anderson instructs."

The head maid looked at Glades Horne, who pursed his lips but said nothing. She then glanced at the grandmother before finally heeding Julia's words and going to fetch the ice.

The head maid quickly returned with ice for Adele Horne.

"If sothing like this happens again, you can go out and face people with a swollen pig's head for a face!" Glades Horne didn't look at his mother or sister, but his stern warning struck Adele Horne's ears forcefully, causing her face to pale further. Tonight, Glades Horne's outburst had utterly terrified her, making her dread her big brother as if he were a venomous snake or scorpion. In the past, she had thought her big brother was kind to her; they shared the sa mother, after all. No matter how she conspired with Orlando Evans against him, he had always seed to tolerate her, attributing it to her loneliness, and never truly punished her. It was precisely his indulgence that had made her increasingly audacious, leading her to believe that their blood ties ant he could never bring himself to punish her. Tonight, she had crossed his bottom line. When her big brother finally erupted, it scared her half to death and left her a penniless young lady, utterly destitute.
