Glades Horne was there too? And he let Julia Bluen hit his own sister? It seems Glades Horne's favoritism for Julia Bluen is indeed getting deeper and deeper.

"Adele, tell what happened first." Orlando Evans still wanted to know how Adele Horne had failed and how Julia Bluen had beaten her.

Adele Horne ordered a few bottles of alcohol, poured herself a large glass, and downed it in one gulp. Her alcohol tolerance was several tis better than Julia's; even if she finished all these bottles, she would be at most half-drunk.

After finishing her drink, she recounted the incident to Orlando Evans in detail.

After listening, Orlando Evans cursed her relentlessly in her heart. No wonder their plan had failed! It was all Adele's fault for overcomplicating things. She was clearly an idiot, completely incapable of controlling the situation, yet she insisted on stirring up unnecessary trouble.

"Orlando, I shouldn't have ignored your warning. If I hadn't been so jealous and deliberately crashed into the lawn and hit the streetlight—even my car got scratched—our plan would have definitely succeeded. I was too impulsive."

Adele Horne said this with an air of apology, but in reality, she wasn't the least bit sorry. She was used to acting defiantly in front of Orlando Evans and would never genuinely apologize to her.

Orlando Evans desperately wanted to scold Adele Horne to her face, but thinking of Adele's temper, she swallowed her harsh words. After a mont's thought, she suddenly leaned close to Adele Horne's ear and whispered a few words. Adele Horne's eyes lit up, and she nodded repeatedly in agreent.

"I'll do as you said. I'm going ho to complain. I refuse to believe Mom won't take my side!" With that, Adele Horne stood up and hurried out of the pub, not even sparing Orlando Evans a second glance.

Orlando Evans didn't stop her. She remained seated, watching Adele hurry away. Smirking, Orlando poured herself a glass of alcohol and sipped it slowly, a ruthless glint in her eyes.

She was certain that tonight, thanks to that foolish young lady Adele Horne, the Horne Family would be thrown into utter chaos.

After Adele Horne left, Julia Bluen also felt sowhat restless. Glades Horne racked his brain to cheer her up, repeatedly assuring her that he wouldn't let what happened tonight occur again.

Just as Julia's mood began to improve slightly, Glades Horne received a call from Mila Anderson. Mila sounded furious on the phone, ordering Glades to bring Julia ho imdiately.

From the call alone, Glades could tell his mother's anger was intense. He furrowed his handso brow; his sister had indeed gone ho to complain. Of course. With her princess-like temperant, she always expected everyone to cater to her every whim. Tonight, he had yelled at her, Julia had lectured her, and Julia had even slapped her. Even if the slap wasn't hard, it was still a slap. How could his sister possibly let that go?

Julia Bluen showed no reaction, silently following Glades Horne ho.

She had already anticipated that Adele Horne would definitely complain. How annoying. She had just closed a business deal outside, and upon returning ho, before she even had a chance to share her joy with Glades Horne, these incidents had abruptly erupted, disrupting their pleasant evening.

「In the Horne Family mansion,」 all the main family mbers were present; even Jas Horne, the illegitimate son, had been summoned back.

In the brightly lit hall, Sovia Morris sat on the sofa with a dark expression. The Old Madam, lips pursed, sat opposite her. After leaving the Bluen Family ho, Sovia had gone to the Horne Mansion to find the Old Madam, insisting that she stop Marcel Horne and Ruby Bluen. However, the Old Madam had no intention of playing the villain and breaking up the couple. She had dismissed Sovia with the saying, "Our children and grandchildren will make their own fortunes," warning her not to ddle in her son's love life. This clearly indicated her approval of Ruby Bluen, infuriating Sovia to the point where she felt her lungs might explode. But the Old Madam was her mother-in-law, and Sovia, the daughter-in-law, dared not argue with her. She could only endure being lectured by the Old Madam all afternoon, unable to leave even if she wanted to, which was why her expression was so dark at the mont.

The Old Madam knew why Sovia's face was dark, but she paid her no mind. Knowing that Marcel Horne and Ruby Bluen had tragically missed out on so many years together, the Old Madam wished they would marry imdiately. Why would she step in to stop them now? So what if sisters married into the sa family? Such cases weren't unheard of. Besides, Glades Horne and Marcel Horne were only cousins; so sisters even married biological brothers.

Adele Horne sat beside Mila Anderson, both her cheeks red and swollen. Bright red finger marks were clearly imprinted on her pretty face as she tearfully accused Julia Bluen of insulting and hitting her.

When Mila Anderson saw her precious daughter beaten to such a state by her daughter-in-law, she was naturally livid. She imdiately called her son, demanding he bring Julia Bluen ho. Mila had also summoned everyone else back, planning to hold a grand family council to severely reprimand Julia and get justice for her daughter. Her opinion of Julia had sowhat improved recently, but now, seeing her daughter's red and swollen cheeks, she despised Julia utterly.

Her daughter was absolutely right! The Bluen sisters were no good. Her son must have been cursed or bewitched!

Sovia Morris already held a grudge against the Bluen Family. Seeing that Adele Horne had also suffered, she couldn't help but side with her. Although Glades Horne had warned her, with so many elders present, she figured Glades wouldn't dare do anything to her now. Naturally, she wanted to vent her dissatisfaction.

The ones who didn't believe Julia Bluen would hit Adele Horne so hard were the Old Madam and the other four young masters of the family.

Jas Horne, who rarely spoke up in this household, was the first to voice his doubt. "Adele, did Sister-in-law really hit you?" He suspected Adele Horne had hit herself and then frad Julia Bluen. He knew Julia Bluen, and he knew his eldest brother. His brother might hit Adele Horne, but with Julia Bluen present, Julia would surely prevent him from doing so. In fact, he felt that soone like Adele Horne deserved a beating. He himself had countless tis wanted to give Adele a hard slap. In the Horne Family, the one who constantly gave him attitude wasn't his aunt, but his own sister, Adele Horne. It was possible Julia Bluen might hit soone, but she wasn't the type to easily lose her composure. Even if she did hit Adele, she wouldn't have beaten her to the point of being almost unrecognizable. Unless Adele Horne had truly touched Julia Bluen's reverse scale—her absolute sore spot.
