Two bodyguards imdiately followed him.

Watching his robust and trim figure disappear from sight, Edo Hanley muttered, "He always inspires such a mix of love and frustration."

"It's not like this is the first ti you've t him," Helen Griffin said. Having finished her al, she picked up a napkin from the table, pulled out two sheets to wipe her mouth, then stood up and smiled at Edo Hanley. "I'm leaving. Enjoy your al on your own."

"Do you need to take you?" Edo Hanley asked, also standing up and offering kindly.

Waving goodbye, Helen Griffin shot back, "No need. Don't keep your sweetheart waiting."

"With everyone leaving, I've no desire to stay behind," Edo Hanley said, quickly stepping forward to follow Helen Griffin. After hearing her comnt, he couldn't resist asking, "Tomboy, did you grow eyes in the back of your head? How did you know I brought my sweetheart?"

"Just a guess," Helen Griffin chuckled, and then stepped into the elevator.

Edo Hanley stopped in his tracks, watching her enter the elevator. Once the doors closed, his playful smile slowly faded. He stared intensely at the elevator doors for a long ti before he sighed deeply and turned to walk toward the Elegant Room he had reserved, lanting to himself, If it weren't for your damn preference for won, would I need to change won every day?

After leaving the Emperor hotel, Glades Horne called Julia Bluen.

Once Julia Bluen answered the phone, he asked in his warm, deep voice, "Julia, are you still at ho?" He hadn't eaten yet. Looking at the full table of food and drinks earlier, he just had no appetite. Suddenly, he found himself craving food Julia Bluen had personally made.

"No, I'm at the company, but I'm about to go eat. Have you eaten?" Julia Bluen had spent so ti at the Bluen Family ho with her mother, who then told her to attend to her own affairs. Her father hadn't gone to the company; he stayed in the Study Room thinking things over after Glades left. Her sister had taken Marcel Horne away, saying he had military reporting duties, and then she was going back to the Horne Family to visit their grandmother.

Since her mother said everything was fine, she went back to the company.

After being busy for more than an hour, she finally had ti to go eat.

Her Trading Company had yet to get on the right track, and she had to run around soliciting business and securing deals. She also had to discuss matters with clients. In just that short hour or so, she had already spoken with several clients on the phone about cooperation.

Those clients were all reluctant to partner up, as her Trading Company was newly established and didn't have much credibility in the industry, making it tough to secure business.

Of course, if the company were still listed under the Valence Group, it would naturally be on the right track by now.

Glades Horne originally didn't want to put this subsidiary under her na, but considering her love for challenges, he decided to transfer it to her.

"Why are you only eating now? It's almost one o'clock," Glades Horne chided softly, his voice full of concern, upon hearing that Julia Bluen was only now preparing to eat—forgetting that he himself hadn't eaten yet either.

"Where are you? I'll co pick you up," Glades Horne asked. He had dismissed the thought of eating food Julia made. It was getting late; if he waited for Julia to finish cooking, it would be three in the afternoon. He didn't mind being hungry, but he couldn't bear to let his Julia starve.

"No need, I'm at the Golden Phoenix Inn. I've already arrived," Julia Bluen replied, automatically ignoring his reproach.

"Alright, I'll co to you," Glades Horne said and then instructed the bodyguards to imdiately head to the Golden Phoenix Inn.

Without any objection from Julia Bluen, he hung up the phone.

Soon, the couple t at the Golden Phoenix Inn.

Julia Bluen had chosen a table in the corner of the ground floor lobby and had already ordered dishes—so she loved, and so Glades favored.

"From now on, you're not to eat past twelve o'clock. You should eat at half-past eleven, got it? No, I'll co pick you up every day at eleven-thirty. I want to make sure you're eating," Glades Horne said before he even sat down, his words, imperious yet caring, finding their way to Julia Bluen's ears.

"Alright, alright, you sound like an old man," Julia Bluen said amusedly, standing up with a chuckle and pulling his arm to make him sit down.

She noticed he was becoming increasingly fussy.

"You're still talking? Look at the ti now," Glades Horne softened his voice, but the reproach was still there.

"It looks like... maybe it's one in the afternoon," Julia Bluen giggled, not taking his reproach to heart. She handed him a pair of chopsticks, saying, "Let's eat. You surely haven't eaten yet either. I can tell from your voice you haven't eaten. And you still have the nerve to scold when you're just the sa."

Glades Horne's eyes flickered, his gaze deepening. She had noticed these things too!

"I was actually thinking of going ho to eat the food you made for ," Glades Horne said quietly.

Since returning from their honeymoon, the couple hadn't been back to their own little ho.

He missed the tis they cooked together, the way she bustled about the kitchen for him, and her culinary skills that could rival those of a professional chef.

Julia Bluen blinked. So he had been hungry all this ti because he wanted to eat food she had personally made for him.

A sweet sensation filled her heart. As a wife, there was no greater joy than personally cooking for one's beloved husband.

She leaned in, whispering into Glades Horne's ear, "Co ho early tonight—to our ho. I'll make dumplings for you, how's that?"

Glades Horne narrowed his hawk-like eyes, tilting his head to stare at her, silent.

"Whatever filling you want, I'll make it for you, and you can help too," Julia Bluen said, her almond-shaped eyes curving into a smile as she looked at him, her expression as endearing as could be.

"You're not tricking ?"

"No tricks."
