In the following month, Jiang Tong didn’t see Bao Nan again.
Their next eting was due to a joint westward investigative event held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the prosecutor’s office.
Bao Nan was the team leader for this joint event.
"Everyone, return safely."
Xu Rongguang looked gravely at the people from the prosecutor’s office, rarely as serious as he was at this mont.
Jiang Tong quietly yawned from the back of the crowd.
"Jiang Tong!!" Xu Rongguang’s shout almost sent her running.
She moved her lips slightly, resigned to squeeze to the front, sheepishly awkward, "Mr. Xu, what’s up?"
Seriously?
Just about to set off and Xu Rongguang still wanted to scold her?
Couldn’t he just leave her with a nice expectation?
Xu Rongguang gave her a light glance; surprisingly, he didn’t scold her, "Jiang Tong, lead the team well. If you do well, you’ll get a promotion when you co back."

"If you don’t do well, you’ll co back to clean the toilets." Seeing her excitent, Xu Rongguang snorted coldly, dousing her with cold water.

Jiang Tong smacked her lips, thinking Xu Rongguang had really changed.
She straightened up a bit and seriously replied, "Reporting to Mr. Xu, I guarantee to complete the mission!"

On the accompanying bus, Jiang Tong had gone back to the prosecutor’s office to fetch a docunt.
Everyone was quietly seated, with the only empty seat next to Bao Nan.
Seeing him, Jiang Tong stopped for a mont.
Although that incident happened a month ago, her heart still raced at the sight of Bao Nan.
Jiang Tong stood by the car door, contemplating for a long while, before the driver ushered her to the back.
Bao Nan quietly sat on the outer seat, hands holding docunts, with a light gray thermos cup in his arms.
"Bao Nan, let in."
The bus had already started, Jiang Tong swayed, barely keeping steady by holding the back of the front seat.
Upon hearing her, Bao Nan was about to move when the bus suddenly braked, causing Jiang Tong to lurch forward.
She ended up falling into Bao Nan’s arms.
The bus resud smooth operation, but the two remained in that position.
Jiang Tong clung to his neck, her peach-blossom eyes blinking in confusion.
Eventually, the discomfort from the thermos cup in Bao Nan’s embrace prompted her to get up slowly and move to the window seat.
After what just happened, half of Jiang Tong’s face had turned red.
"Um... hmm..." She stamred for a long ti, unable to think of sothing to ease the awkwardness.
"What’s up?"
Bao Nan looked at her as if nothing happened, but the tips of his ears had turned red.
"Nothing, your thermos cup looks really nice. I never thought you’d start putting goji berries in it to take care of your health at such a young age, hahaha."
Jiang Tong forced a laugh, casually bringing up a topic.
Hearing her ntion the thermos cup, Bao Nan’s cold eyes flashed slightly, and he didn’t speak, just continued flipping through his docunts.
But inside, his emotions were tumultuous.
This was the third ti Tongtong had been in his embrace...
The two returned to silence, and Jiang Tong couldn’t find anything else to say.
She just dazedly stared out the window, with a hint of loneliness appearing in her peach-blossom eyes.
Seeing Bao Nan’s indifferent attitude, did he really not like her...
