In less than 15 minutes, several heads were hanging in front of Murphy’s camp, glowing in the distance, which imdiately attracted the attention of people on the other side.
"Sir, co and see this!" Shouts rang out throughout the camp of the mbers of the Kingdom.
Imdiately, several commanders and field generals in charge of the troops were alerted and quickly approached to see what was happening.
"What the hell?"
"Those are the leaders’ heads!"
Screams of fear echoed among those present, but one of the generals knew how to take charge when things were starting to get out of control.
"Calm down, go find the leaders! This must be a trick by those bastards, they’ve always been cunning!" he shouted.
"Oh, that’s right."
"Right, go find them."
"Move, the general has spoken!"
"Don’t be fooled!"
Soon, the crowd cald down, and those present finally went to look for the leaders.
The minutes passed quickly, and soon several tens of minutes had gone by, until finally, those who had gone to look for them returned running, fear on their faces and carrying several bloodless bodies.
"Sir... Sir. This is all we found... We also discovered that the guards at the other entrance are dead."
"What?"
"Impossible!" The general was in shock and even ran to grab the neck of the one who had said that. "How can you think this is the body of our leaders?! They don’t even look alike!" He growled angrily.
"Sir... But they have the insignia."
"What?" Finally, the general looked at the bodies and trembled, taking a few steps back.
’Impossible... Were we ambushed? In the safest rooms? There’s no way... Who the hell did this? Gray Allen? That Matthew Dietrich? Cecily Edevane herself? Only Charles Relish could have carried out a murder like this, right?’
His chaotic mind kept questioning everything, even existence itself. There were only questions in his mind and no answers.
But he couldn’t help it. They were facing an unprecedented situation, where all their leaders had died right before their eyes.
No one had noticed anything!
Everyone’s mind was in chaos, and murmurs rose throughout the ard forces. So doubted their strength, others simply began to fear.
"Those were the words of Sophia Murphy..." murmured one of many at that mont.
Although it was soft, it was enough to attract attention.
"True... Sophia Murphy had issued that statent, which we ignored."
"What did it say, exactly?"
"That she would hang the head of anyone who opposed her revenge..."
"Her revenge?"
"You know, they say that Leader Murphy almost died at the hands of..."
"SILENCE!"
The General’s shout echoed through the tents as he glared at them. Despite that, he just wanted them to shut up.
In reality, he had nothing to say to them because he couldn’t think straight. He was almost the sa as them, but he couldn’t let them keep talking such nonsense.
The reality was that they were in big trouble right now, because they couldn’t protect their leaders, and those heads, which seed like a huge provocation, were still hanging there.
What to do? They didn’t know.
They hadn’t been given any orders, and only the owners of those heads hanging there could give them orders, but they weren’t alive anymore.
That’s why they had no idea whether they should move or just stay and wait.
And they would remain that way for quite so ti, until the heads were taken down and carried away.
.
The news spread like wildfire, echoing through the cities in no ti.
Rumors said that Sophia Murphy had done it herself, but was never seen leaving the camp. How could that be?
But these rumors grew louder and louder, so many of them had to believe it.
While chaos reigned in the Kingdom camp and jubilation filled the Murphy camp, so powerful figures arrived at the Kingdom camp and seed to vanish as if they were dust being blown away.
In the Murphy camp.
Sophia frowned and slowly stood up.
"They’re here," she whispered.
The elders and other strategists beside her looked at her. "The leaders of those bastards have arrived?"
"They finally ca?"
Sophia nodded in response to those who asked. "Yes."
Then everyone stood up.
"Are we going to war? We’re still alone."
Sophia took a deep breath and motioned for them to leave. "Leave alone for a mont," she said suddenly.
The elders looked at each other, surprised by her words, but seeing that she had turned away, they had to obey. Even her grandfather had to do so, and they left, staying close to the tent.
Inside, Sophia took a deep breath after everyone left the tent and looked at the horizon through the small window in front of her. That side of the world was peaceful. There was no war threatening it.
But on the other side... it would soon be devastated by the designs of a war that should not exist.
The race was in decline. The leaders had changed, and the borders were being destroyed, either by wars or by treaties.
The traitors had more and more room to maneuver, leaving them cornered.
Despite that, she doesn’t really feel like she’s being cornered. Even though the world is increasingly against them, she doesn’t feel cornered.
’I think it’s ti to cause a massacre,’ she thought, smiling boldly.
She was still a Growing Heir; forgetting that would be deadly for her enemies. And the place where a Heir can shine the most... is in war.
As she was lost in thought with a smile on her face, a voice ca from outside.
"Miss, they have declared war on us. There is already movent on the other side," said one of the elders.
"Oh, they’re in a hurry. It seems sothing is frightening them." She didn’t respond, and the elder stopped reporting to her, returning to stand guard outside.
Finally, Sophia whistled, and a few birds returned to her. She wrote several ssages to different people and sent them off with the birds.
Then she smiled even more. "My little subordinates. It’s ti for you to gather. We are going to cause the greatest massacre this kingdom will see in many years, and it’s not a good idea for you to miss such a great feast." Her written and spoken words were sent to all her subordinates, who received them wherever they were.
After that, she touched a few buttons on her dress, and it fell to the floor, revealing her wonderful figure that had been hidden.
Then she put on a soft outfit that allowed her to move freely. It was a full-body suit, explicitly created for murder, but it had several differences from the common ones.
Nurous weapons lay scattered among the clothes, and they were not just any weapons.
"Our greatest treasure finally has an owner, Father. You didn’t want to use it because you wanted to leave it to , so I’ll use it to avenge you." She smiled softly, hatred in her words. "It’s ti for the most powerful Set of Saint Weapons and Armor in the Kingdom to see the world again, finally."
She finished by strapping the set to her body.
