Matthew could get an idea about Cecily’s skills, as he rembered very well what skills he used the most in the ancient era.
’I didn’t expect those skills to fall into soone’s hands, but I don’t even rember why it is that my skills are being passed down... I guess it was a secret between and my father, which I still can’t manage to rember.’ He thought.
In the ancient era, he was feared not only for his combat power but also for his great and diverse abilities. No one understood why anyone could have so many abilities, but everyone feared him.
He didn’t need magic, much less spirits. On his own, he had many abilities that allowed him to be diverse in his own way, and the abilities were many tis more powerful than any magic or ability bestowed by the spirits.
To give an example, curses were created by Dietrich to counter magic or mana abilities. The fact that they could be used with mind power without further ado ant that even an ordinary villager could kill an extrely powerful person if he used a curse with cunning. This was much greater in people with mana as their power, as there are curses that, once activated, use mana as fuel to continue functioning in a body.
Now, all these curses did not co out of nowhere. They bear the na Curse because they originate in a Curse: Matthew’s Ice Curse.
At that ti, Matthew was subjected to countless investigations by his father, his family’s scientists, and even himself to understand that ability in depth so that they could create the Curses that ca later.
It makes it clear just how incredible Matthew’s abilities can be and also shows why he was so feared in the ancient era, even though he was only in his early 20s at the ti of the war.
And one of his most potent abilities fell into the hands of Cecily Edevane.
Matthew wasn’t too worried about her and her strength, but if she opposed him in the short term, he would have to take away her abilities because if he let her develop them, they would be dangerous in the hands of a woman with her power.
Charlotte looked at Matthew thoughtfully and smiled.
"Are you worried about her?"
"No." He shook his head. Matt and Charlotte smiled.
"Well, why don’t you say hello to her? 2 people are coming here. One is your dear friend Holr, and the other is that crazy woman."
Matthew was startled and looked to the side, setting the glass of tea on the table.
He couldn’t sense Holr, but he could feel a vampire approaching. She was still quite far away, though.
’She can wander into human territory so freely. What fine skills she has.’
Charlotte stood up and waved her hand. Imdiately, a small magical screen was created showing an icy terrain and a fully covered woman walking.
Matthew frowned. "Why didn’t you kill her? You’re not usually so patient with those who annoy you."
"It’s not easy to kill her unless I alert all the Mountains. Besides, she reminds of you. Even though her way of using skills is very different, she still bears so correlation to you, so I wouldn’t kill her."
Matthew nodded.
He looked at Cecily and frowned. ’She’s a very different killer than Isla or . I tend to be very cautious and use ice to my advantage, mixing tactics. Isla tends to be careful and moves more like a thief. But she is more like a killing machine. Her walk is unheard. She’s a killer but with more roughness. No wonder she is so dangerous and powerful. She has captured the essence of the skills perfectly.’ He smiled.

"Will you see her? I’ve sent a ssage to Holr to wait, as I have to go make that woman leave."
Matthew shook his head.
"You go do your job and et with Mia; I’ll return to vampire territory. Moving around in this place is dangerous; I can feel huge stares watching every nook and cranny, which is annoying."
Charlotte nodded. "If that’s the case, co back then. I’ll visit you when I get things going here; for now, the humans seem to be planning sothing big. Be careful, rember the kind of ’Night’ the Hills have, as maybe the next attacks will co from those guys."
Matthew smiled at her, moved closer, and kissed her gently. "Wait for , and let’s move together. By the way, I want you to do so research on Frozen Infinity for . I read that these mountains have so borders with it." He spoke.
"I’ll bring you all the information I can get next ti, but no promises. You should know that your ability is the perfect thing to counter us. We can’t go too deep."
"Fine, I’ll do my part too. You getting so information is enough." Matthew then turned around, but just as he was planning to jump to leave, Charlotte spoke up.
"Wait. If you want information on that place, talk to that woman."
He stopped and turned to look at her. "Who?"
"The Dragon Queen. She’s the only one in this world, along with the Dragon Protector, who can go deep into that place."
Matthew nodded softly, and before he could speak, Charlotte thrust a token into his hand.
It was a token with perfect drawings of three dragons. "Divine’s dragon?"
"Yes." Charlotte nodded. "It’s the highest level token in the dragon race; with it, you’ll be able to see that woman without being hindered. Be careful, too. I can sense that your sword was made from a dragon of royal blood, so she may have wanted explanations. A while ago, a red dragon of the royal dragon family of dragons disappeared, after all."
Matthew nodded. ’So that dragon was from that family. Well, nothing to do.’ He thought.
Just then, sothing happened at the magic window, which attracted both of their attention. Cecily Edevane had thrown the hood covering her face to the ground, exposing her beautiful face.
Charlotte sighed. "How impatient she is." Then she looked at Matthew. "Go back. A third person is coming here. He’s my master. That guy is crazy about vampires, so try to avoid him." She said, then disappeared.
Matthew took one last look at the magic window and then looked up at the mountains. He could feel the presence of so powerful people heading here.
’Sooner or later, I will co for you. Just wait patiently.’ He smiled and then vanished.
