90 Solace
Using his and , a blueprint of the house that the Supre Academy had given to Allen and Iris materialized in front of Allen. The combination of those two talents allowed Allen to possess the skill to create any blueprints of any buildings that he saw or within his surroundings.
After Allen caught the blueprint in his right hand, he opened the blueprint and inspected its contents.
"It's decent."
That was Allen's comnt towards the house that was built using the 's blueprints.
Allen's talent far exceeded the and combined. Allen's comnt was already a complint since if the and 's works were that bad, Allen would have comnted that it was bad.
Although it was decent and wasn't that bad, it was just that. Allen knew he could create a much better one that would have a full-proof defense and attack system if he used his and alongside his and talents.
With that in mind, Allen started to get to work but he, of course, didn't neglect Iris' presence.
Creating a comfortable chair using his , Allen pointed towards it as he signaled Iris to sit there.
"You can rest there while I handle all of the work."
"But Master Allen, that would be my work as your maid."
Iris refuted Allen as she didn't him to do all of the work. She felt that she wasn't being Allen's maid as he did most of the work if not all.
"Iris, are you mistaking a maid's work for the work of an engineer and architect? You know about my talent so just let do all of the work."
Even with Allen's reasoning, Iris still wasn't satisfied since she wanted Allen to relax since she knew that he had been doing too much work lately.
Allen had told Iris about his travels to another universe and the ti of this world being halted during the ti of his chat group tasks. Just knowing that ignited Iris' personality as his maid to let him relax as she pampered him.
He knew that she wouldn't take no as an answer so sighing in defeat, Allen could only add another part to his previous words.
"After I finish doing all of the upgrades to our house such as improving the defense and adding an attack system, you can pamper as I will spend the whole day relaxing."
Hearing his reconciliation, Iris was delighted since she could finally put herself to good use for his sake. Allen noticed what was currently inside Iris' mind based on her actions and since he didn't want her to get the wrong idea, he comforted her.
"You got it all wrong, Iris. I have created you not for you to be of use to . I have created you because of my selfish desire of having soone to trust and take care of ."
"If you think that you aren't of use to , then you are mistaken. Your existence alone brings comfort in this wretched world. Without you, I won't have anyone to share my problems with and have soone to rely on."
"I can't even rely on or share my problems with my parents. They failed to beco one for and I treat them as nothing more than strangers. I haven't even t my relatives since my parents didn't want to et them because they thought that my presence at family gatherings will sully their reputation. As for my younger brother, the two of us are on neutral terms."
"My sworn brother is from another universe while my fellow chat group mbers are also from other universes. I have no one I can rely on in this world but you."
Iris knew that just hearing those words from Allen that were filled with lancholy and longing for warmth, she knew that he had suffered in this world and his only solace in this world was her.
She didn't know why but she felt pain within her heart after hearing Allen's words. She felt that she needed to shelter Allen from the cruelty of this world, or at least be his beacon of light that would prevent him from straying off his path in life.
Iris knew that Allen would have been contented in his life without even having talents only if his parents accepted him for who he was and didn't judge him for his worth.
But what did his parents do? The exact opposite. To the point that Allen would have committed suicide if he didn't receive the Alternate Multiverse Chat Group System and the talent.
If his parents loved and cared for him and didn't compare him with his younger brother, Iris knew that Allen wouldn't envy his younger brother if he was raised with familial love from his parents, instead of being compared with his younger brother on almost every event in his life.
Although she knew that Allen's ntal condition was alright for now, she knew that he was bottling all of the stress that he had accumulated and that's why she was adamant about letting him relax and for her to do all of the work.
Noticing that Allen was currently in a daze as he recalled his mories that were filled with nothing but bad mories, Iris walked towards Allen. She placed her hand on top of Allen's head as she patted his head, snapping Allen from his stupor and back to reality.
"Iris?"
Allen called out her na in confusion. He didn't expect her to pat his head but he didn't complain.
Her warm and soft hand slowly ruffling and touching the top of his head back and forth cald him and soothed his mind. Allen's body jolted at first from experiencing the unusual feeling spreading through his entire body but soon grew accustod to it.
Allen didn't want such a feeling to stop. It was a different kind of pleasure and it was sothing foreign to him who hadn't received love and affection from others.
He felt that Iris was his only solace within this world.
And… he would do anything within his power to make her happy and to reciprocate her love for him!
