Lu Lin took a drag of her cigarette and then slowly exhaled.

A rare mont of peace.

That afternoon, she didn’t go out. Instead, she stayed in the dorm, smoked two cigarettes, played with her phone, read a novel for a while, and watched a few videos.

There might still be a shred of hope, hoping that Zhou Yuwen would send a ssage back. However, she had been waiting since noon until five in the afternoon, and Zhou Yuwen had not sent any ssages.

Finally, as the passionately bright sun slowly declined in the west, turning the west-side sports field a fiery red before gradually sinking.

Unknowingly, the sky darkened.

The streetlights under her building began to light up.

It was getting cold outside.

A ssage finally popped up on Lu Lin’s WeChat.

But she was not in a hurry to check it. Instead, she finished an episode of a TV series before opening it.

After all, since Zhou Yuwen had left her hanging for so long, she thought she’d leave him hanging for a while too.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t Zhou Yuwen.

"Linlin, what are you up to (toothy grin)"

The ssage was from Li Qiang.

Lu Lin felt disappointed and replied indifferently: Playing with my phone.

"Oh, didn’t go out?" Li Qiang continued.

Lu Lin didn’t reply, and Li Qiang pressed on: Did you see my Monts?

Upon seeing this ssage, Lu Lin subconsciously checked Monts and indeed found that Li Qiang had updated a new post.

It seed like it was taken at a food stall with a beer bottle on the table. Li Qiang didn’t show his face; only his hand was placed on the table, holding a Daqiann cigarette between his index and ring fingers.

His post read: The road is long; don’t be reckless, who knows who will shine in the future!

Actually, Li Qiang’s purpose in posting this Mont was to impress Lu Lin. He felt the photo and the caption were so cool that they would definitely dazzle the girls, but two hours passed and other than a few likes from friends in the external relations departnt, Lu Lin hadn’t given him a like.

Li Qiang felt maybe Lu Lin hadn’t seen it. Unable to hold back, he initiated the conversation.

But even after he sent the ssage, Lu Lin still didn’t respond.

This ti Li Qiang wasn’t in a rush. A month had passed, and Li Qiang had reflected on his actions from the past. He had been too hasty.

Previously, he’d sent Lu Lin a barrage of long ssages. Looking back, he felt so embarrassed he wished he could hide in a crack in the ground.

Back then, he thought he was being passionate, but in retrospect, he only felt foolish.

Now, Li Qiang thought, since Zhou Yuwen was already dating Zheng Yanyan, his love for Lu Lin was genuine, and perhaps Lu Lin might agree to be with him.

Don’t rush, let it go slow.

Thus during the seven days of the national holiday, whenever Li Qiang had ti, he would send ssages to Lu Lin.

When bored, Lu Lin indeed replied to Li Qiang occasionally.

Replying or not didn’t really matter, but Lu Lin was indeed bored. Seeing Li Qiang’s persistent efforts, sotis she’d think, if only Zhou Yuwen could be like him.

But that was just a fantasy.

Perhaps out of sympathy that Zhou Yuwen wasn’t replying to her ssages, Lu Lin would reply to Li Qiang.

Or maybe she was just really bored.

During those seven days, other than lying in her dorm, she occasionally went to the small store to buy so stuff.

On the fourth day, soone added her to a part-ti job group in Xianlin University Town.

This part-ti group was sowhat immature. The group owner’s title included sothing like "Xu Huai Hall Master of So Campus."

The day Lu Lin joined the part-ti group, it happened to be the day the group was created. The group owner stated: "This part-ti job group is newly founded, and everyone can feel safe contacting part-ti jobs here. If there are any issues, you can report to (folded fist) (folded fist)"

"The purpose of the Xu Huai Society is to help every student find a suitable part-ti job (folded fist)"

"Xu Huai will protect every student (folded fist)"

Seeing Li Qiang’s Monts these days, Lu Lin wondered if the university she attended was like a world for spirited young n. Is this really a university?

However, she didn’t care much and found a simple job distributing flyers.

But she only worked half a day. It was too hot, and the small sum wasn’t enough for her skincare.

So, Lu Lin didn’t even ask for the money and left in the afternoon.

While in her dorm, she sotis envied Zheng Yanyan.

During the few days of the holiday in October,

Zheng Yanyan often found ti to chat with Lu Lin.

From Zhou Yuwen’s perspective, Zheng Yanyan was having too much fun at ho and hadn’t been chatting with him much.

What he didn’t know was that the first thing Zheng Yanyan did every morning was check her phone to see if Zhou Yuwen had sent her a ssage.

Unfortunately, each ti she was full of hope,

and each ti she was let down.

Then, she would send Zhou Yuwen a ssage: Morning.

Once or twice was manageable, but over ti, Zheng Yanyan definitely wouldn’t keep it up. Enjoy new stories from empire

When she wanted to chat with Zhou Yuwen, she’d go to Lu Lin and say, "I really want to talk to Zhou Yuwen!"

Lu Lin didn’t understand Zheng Yanyan’s behavior, saying, "Then why don’t you just talk to him?"

"No, I refuse! He never initiates contact, so why should I?"

Zheng Yanyan was, after all, a proud girl. But after dating Zhou Yuwen, she increasingly felt she was sowhat humble, even feeling a bit like Chang Hao.

This wasn’t a good start, so Zheng Yanyan had to restrain her fondness for Zhou Yuwen.

She decided to wait for Zhou Yuwen to take the initiative to contact her.

"Zhou Yuwen didn’t co to find the whole day," Zheng Yanyan said pitifully to Lu Lin at ten o’clock that night.
