Inside the Bird’s Nest of the Heavenly Court, Bai Jin sits cross-legged in the Cultivation Room, imrsed in Enlightennt, cloaked by the mystical and intermittent illumination of the Tao Rhythm.
The spread of the Heaven and Earth Human Bank is gaining montum, with more and more Immortal Gods exchanging for Purple Gold Coins, Faith Coins, Mystic Gold Coins, and rit Coins, while ordinary mortals quickly adapt to the banking services of depositing and withdrawing money, making banks increasingly prevalent across the Three Realms.
anwhile, Bai Jin gradually senses a new kind of Tao Law erging within, distinct from the Reincarnation Dao and the Creation Dao. This law seems to belong solely to him, as if a gateway stands in the void, and stepping through it would lead to a brand-new Heaven and Earth.
Bai Jin has thought multiple tis about using the power of rit to open the gateway and step directly into that new world, but he always restrains himself. The more he understands now, the stronger he will be after entering through that gateway.
An external voice arises: "Master, your Disciple requests an audience with you!"
In the Cultivation Room, Bai Jin suddenly opens his eyes, and the visualized Tao Rhythm vanishes without a trace. With a float of his body, he rises and walks outside.
Stepping out of the Bird’s Nest, Bai Jin sees soone standing outside the Bird’s Nest, clad in the imposing uniform of the Law Enforcent Team. It is Yang Jian.
Upon seeing Bai Jin, Yang Jian imdiately performs a courteous bow and says, "Disciple pays respect to Master!"
"No need for such formalities!" Bai Jin raises a hand and smiles, "What brings you here? Should you not be patrolling Heaven and Earth?"
Standing up, Yang Jian smiles and says, "Master, I have not been negligent. There is a matter I felt I should report to you."
"Oh? What is it?"
"I rember during the Spring and Autumn period of the Hundred Schools’ contention, you were the Vice Family Head of Hundred Schools."
Bai Jin nods slightly and replies, "That’s right."
"Reporting to Master, while patrolling Heaven and Earth this ti, I discovered that there have been conflicts among the Human Clan’s Hundred Schools, leading to unrest."
Bai Jin is taken aback for a mont. Sect Conflicts? Considering the finger calculations, the Human Clan is indeed in the Qin Dynasty, and there were indeed scholarly contentions in previous lifetis, including the burning of books and burying of Confucian scholars. But after his changes, there has been more collaboration among the Hundred Schools, with each having their future. Why would there still be conflicts? Could it be that the destiny of the Primordial World is indeed unchangeable? But this should not be considered a force of the Primordial World!
Bai Jin imdiately says with seriousness, "Yang Jian, accompany to the Lower Realm."
Yang Jian responds with a fist and palm salute, "As you command!"
Instantly, the two figures vanish from outside the Bird’s Nest.
In the Earth Immortal Realm, it is night, and Xianyang City is eerily silent. Two figures appear mid-air, none other than Bai Jin and Yang Jian.
"Strange, the Human King is not in the Imperial City," Bai Jin expresses so surprise.
"Master, it is said that the Human King is on an eastern tour to observe the East Sea."
Bai Jin nods. According to historical records of a past life, Emperor Qin had traveled east five tis, and this must be one of those occasions. It is not surprising.
Bai Jin’s gaze sweeps over Xianyang, where columns of energy rise straight into the heavens, above Xianyang, manifesting various Miracles.
Above the Kong Family Academy, a white column of energy transforms into a book.
Above the Mo Family Academy, a brown column of energy morphs into a mysterious device that constantly changes, sotis becoming a chariot, other tis a chanical Beast.
Above the Court, a dark golden column of energy turns into a book propped up by a crossed sword and saber.
Each school’s energy column evolves differently, their Miracles eyeing each other with hostility, even resembling conflict.
...
In Xianyang, before a secluded courtyard, several black-clad figures wielding Longswords appear, approaching the courtyard silently and undetected.
Boom~ A white fireball exploded above the courtyard, illuminating the surrounding heaven and earth like a torch.
All the n in black were imdiately alard and drew closer to each other, watching their surroundings warily.
A group of disciples from the Inspection Bureau ran out from inside the courtyard, weapons in hand, and aid at the n in black.
A middle-aged official dressed in official clothes ca out last, sneered, and said: "Confucian Disciples, we’ve been waiting for you, haven’t we? I knew you would co back, daring to break the law by abducting prisoners, today none of you will escape."
The leading man in black yanked down his face towel, revealing a stern young man who coldly said: "Legalist Li Tan~"
The middle-aged official narrowed his eyes and said indifferently: "Confucian ng Qin, you led a jailbreak, disregarding state laws, what is your intention?! Seeking rebellion?"
ng Qin raised his longsword, shouting angrily: "Great Scholar Wei Lin, credited with saving hundreds of thousands of lives, ritorious to the Human Clan and to the Qin State, what right do you have to imprison him?!"
"He violated the national law."
"He saved the entire Half You County, had it not been for Great Scholar Wei Lin’s decisive action, the entire Half You County would have beco a realm of death!"
"But he still violated the national law, and national law must not be insulted!"
ng Qin roared: "Confucian Disciples, follow and break in, to rescue Great Scholar Wei Lin."
Li Tan raised his hand, swung it down fiercely, and commanded: "Kill without rcy!"
The black-clad Confucian Disciples all charged out; Confucians uphold the six gentlemanly arts of rites, music, archery, charioteering, literature, and mathematics, and are also equipped with gentleman swords, therefore Confucian Disciples are by no ans weak scholars, but rather capable of calming the world with a pen or beheading enemies with a sword.
Many inspectors imdiately went to kill the Confucian Disciples, with long knives raised in their hands; neither Legalist Disciples nor Military School Disciples were a feeble lot.
Just as the two sides were about to clash, two streaks of light fell from the sky—Boom—a shockwave swept through, instantly sending everyone from both camps flying, smashing to the ground like sandbags, emitting screams of agony.
Bai Jin and Yang Jian stood before the courtyard.
Li Tan imdiately shouted angrily: "Who is there?"
Bai Jin turned to look at Li Tan, displeased and shouted: "Hundred Schools’ Sect Leaders, co see !" The voice resonated powerfully over Xianyang.
Each Sect Leader turned their heads towards the direction of the voice, subconsciously a prestigious title arose in their minds—Vice Family Master—with everyone startled, the legendary Vice Family Master had now appeared.
Standing in the darkness, atop a tower-like structure, "Donghuang Taiyi" also suddenly opened his eyes, looking towards the direction of the voice, sneered and said: "Bai Jin is here, looks like it can’t be hidden anymore! However, my plan is about to succeed." His figure vanished in a flash from the top of the tower.
Bai Jin walked towards the courtyard, all the inspectors wanted to intercept him, but were imdiately restrained on the spot by a formidable force, struggling with faces turning red, yet unable to break free.
Yang Jian followed Bai Jin into the courtyard; Wei Lin, the forr Left Minister, imdiately ca out, scrutinizing Bai Jin with a solemn look—Who is this person?
The Hundred Schools established their teachings among the Human Clan and possessed Divine Skills, but they did not seek the path of longevity; thousands of years have passed, and Hundred Schools Disciples’ understanding of the Vice Family Master existed only in books, unrecognized when face to face.
Bai Jin sized up Wei Lin and said with satisfaction: "You possess quite an amount of rit, you’ve done well!"
Wei Lin asked in confusion: "Who are you?"
"Great Scholar Wei Lin, show no disrespect!" A loud shout ca from within the courtyard.
A Qingyun crossed the sky, and an old man holding a writing brush landed before the courtyard, clothed in grey linen, eyes filled with the vicissitudes of ti as if seeing through eternity.
The black-robed Confucian Disciples outside the gate all quickly got up, bowed fervently, and said: "We pay our respects to the Master!"
The people from the Inspection Bureau also dared not to be rude, hastily bowed, and respectfully said: "We pay our respects to the Master!"
