"Fine, I can’t be bothered anymore. Today, let’s not talk about anything else and just have a al with ."
"Okay!"
Bai Jin imdiately picked up a piece of Immortal Beast at and placed it into Tongtian’s bowl, grinning as he said, "Master, please enjoy!"
"Um!" Tongtian nodded satisfiedly, and both chatted and laughed over the al, as if they were back to the old days on Kunlun Mountain.
After a hearty al and drink, Tongtian seemingly casually ntioned, "I heard that the Law Enforcent Team is quite strict. They’ve expelled hundreds of sect mbers in just a few days. This isn’t right; there should be moderation in enforcent, and the law should be tempered with compassion!"
"Since we took on the role of law enforcent, we naturally can’t afford to slack off."
Tongtian subtly said, "They’re all disciples of our Jie Sect; education should be paramount."
"Master, they are hurting their fellow disciples!"
"Uh~ they can be educated~"
"Master, they are speaking nonsense!"
"They deserve strict punishnt."
"Master, they went to Senior Hao Tian to ask for the Star Lord position."
"Heh, weren’t you the one who encouraged them to apply at the Heavenly Court?!"
Bai Jin looked speechlessly at Tongtian and said, "Master, you weren’t missing ; you were just pleading for those outer disciples."
"Hehe~ haha~ The truth is, I really did miss you. Plus, I was worried you might take a cold and ruthless path, so I advised you to cultivate more tolerance. The Tao is broad and doesn’t discriminate between who can learn it.
I heard a rumor that you’re planning to implent so sort of survival of the fittest system, blocking many disciples from their path to enlightennt. Isn’t that too rciless? Looking at their hungry, eager eyes, how can you bear it?"
Bai Jin, feeling helpless, said, "Master, although Jie Sect is large, it does not ferry the undeserving. This is your fault for accepting those extra five thousand disciples, isn’t it?"
Tongtian was choked up and said solemnly, "Bai Jin, you need to learn to understand them, they are actually wonderful kids."
"When I didn’t know them, I just wanted to expel so disciples, but after I got to know them, I wanted to execute them to rectify our sect’s discipline."
"Ah~ Bai Jin, you can’t judge them all by a few!"
"But I really didn’t see their efforts," Bai Jin said sincerely.
"If you saw their improvents, would you stop expelling your master’s disciples?"
"We’ll see when the ti cos."
Tongtian, speechless, said, "How did I not realize before that you are so stubborn?"
"Master, I also didn’t realize how benevolent you were!"
Both stared at each other, and Tongtian waved his hand in annoyance and barked, "Scram~"
Bai Jin stood up, picked up two plates of delicious food from the table, and drifted away.
Tongtian burst out laughing and said, "This gluttonous bad bird."
Two figures materialized beside the table, Taishang and Primordial.
Taishang, stroking his beard, smiled and said, "I really appreciate Bai Jin; he’s natural and spontaneous, unlike Xuandu who is too reserved and deferential; admiration resides in his heart."
Primordial said satisfactorily, "I’ve always said Bai Jin would never agree, how he acts is precisely why I’m pleased with him as the Outer Disciple Leader of Jie Sect."
Taishang leisurely said, "With Bai Jin here, I feel more at ease."
Tongtian, annoyed, said, "He’s my disciple."
Taishang said earnestly, "He’s my apprentice nephew, and moreover, he understands the path of non-contention."
Primordial added, "He’s my apprentice nephew too, and he understands the philosophy of following the heavenly order."
Tongtian, speechless, couldn’t help but feel his disciple was in a precarious position.
Taishang turned to Tongtian and said, "Why do you recruit so many disciples? Isn’t that asking for trouble?"
Primordial couldn’t help but say, "Look at those disciples you’ve recruited, all foul and corrupt. Even the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation won’t be able to suppress the Qi Fortune of Jie Sect if this continues."
Tongtian, looking at them, said earnestly, "I think you’re just jealous."
Primordial laughed in spite, "Jealous of you? Those in my Chan Sect are all paragons of virtue."
Taishang, stroking his beard, chuckled, "Xuandu could indeed be my true heir."
Tongtian scornfully said, "Would your disciples dare to contradict you?"
Taishang’s beard-stroking hand suddenly stopped. Primordial’s smile froze.
Tongtian pridefully said, "Would your disciples dare to assertively reason with you?"
"Would your disciples disregard their own well-being and wholeheartedly think of yours?"
"Would your disciples dare to take your food?"
...
Primordial snorted, "That’s because we never make mistakes."
Tongtian somberly said, "Your disciples have never co to pay respects to !"
Taishang coughed, trying to change the subject with a chuckle, "The weather is nice today, the three of us brothers rarely get together, so let’s not talk about anything else today, let’s enjoy so drinks and tea."
Tongtian raised a hand, revealing a flashy set of golden playing cards, and said, "What fun is there in just drinking tea? Let’s play fighting Demon King!"
Taishang and Primordial were both stunned. Fighting Demon King? How? Are there any Demon Kings in Primordial World for us to play against? Even if Di Jun Taiyi were to co back to life, it wouldn’t be enough!
...
anwhile, Bai Jin carried the plate leisurely out of Biyou Palace, thinking that the food made by the master was indeed great, but dreaming of bribing with it is out of question.
"Junior brother!" A voice called out.
Bai Jin paused, stopping and looking to the side as the figure of Wudang Saint erged, smiling warmly.
Bai Jin exclaid in surprise, "Senior Sister, you’ve achieved Daluo too? When did this happen?"
He imdiately handed over a plate of food, saying, "Here’s a congratulatory gift for you, Senior Sister."
Wudang Saint took the plate, chuckling softly, "Thank you, junior brother."
Bai Jin laughed heartily, "Don’t ntion it, Senior Sister. I just took it from Master."
