Maitreya heard the voice of Hong Jun, the Daoist Ancestor, and spoke calmly, narrating everything he had done within the Spiritual Illusion Realm from his perspective.
As a newly appointed Immortal Emperor, alone without followers, he sought the assistance of Buddhist disciples.
With the help of the Buddhist disciples, Maitreya led the Immortal Court to exterminate evil spirits and maintain stability in the Primordial Continent.
Maitreya recounted the nurous achievents he and the Buddhist disciples accomplished within the Immortal Court.
Finally, Maitreya confidently looked at Hong Jun and said, "Under my leadership, every Buddhist disciple in the Immortal Court has accumulated rit, and the entire court possesses Infinite rit!"
Hong Jun listened quietly without speaking.
Hao Tian listened to Maitreya’s account, and despite feeling hostility in his heart, he couldn’t help but feel admiration.
In the Spiritual Illusion Realm, Hao Tian was also an Immortal Emperor in charge of the Immortal Court, and he understood the difficulties involved, yet he managed to make the court possess Infinite rit.
Not only Hao Tian, but the other five beings participating in the examination were equally amazed as they looked at Maitreya, puzzled about how he could achieve this.
Even Bo Huang felt admiration for Maitreya.
Though he had the Heavenly Court as his support, he had never made the Immortal Court possess infinite rit, and even now he couldn’t think of a way to achieve it.
Having watched the entire examination process in the Turquoise Pool, upon seeing Maitreya’s deanor, couldn’t help but gently shake her head.
At this mont, Maitreya spoke again: "In the Spiritual Illusion Realm, I have dedicated myself completely, and the Immortal Court has obtained infinite rit. However, up till now, there’s still a doubt lingering in my heart."
Upon hearing Maitreya’s words, both Hong Jun and the Saints understood what the doubt in Maitreya’s heart was.
Zhun Ti and Jie Yin wanted to stop Maitreya, but since it was Teacher Hong Jun choosing the Immortal Emperor, they couldn’t speak rashly.
Moreover, they didn’t consider the matter too serious, so they were in no hurry.
Otherwise, with their personalities, even if it ant throwing tantrums, they wouldn’t allow Maitreya to continue speaking.
Given this situation, Maitreya continued, "In the Spiritual Illusion Realm, why did the Immortal Court under my leadership possess Infinite rit, yet the Heavenly Court still acted on behalf of Heaven to punish and annihilate the Immortal Court under my leadership?"
Maitreya gazed at Hong Jun, with a tone filled with inquiry, it could even be regarded as questioning.
Though he looked at Hong Jun, he was questioning Emperor Jun of the Demon Clan.
He believed Emperor Jun administered the exam within the Spiritual Illusion Realm, targeting the Buddhist disciples, which was why scenes of the Heavenly Court acting on behalf of Heaven appeared in the realm.
He hoped Hong Jun would uphold justice, but he did not dare to speak directly, fearing offense to the Demon Emperor.
Being a second-generation disciple of Buddhism, he was naturally aware of the current prosperity of the Demon Clan and the might of the Demon Emperor.
However, among those present, who couldn’t understand the implications within Maitreya’s words?
For a mont, the other beings who took part in the examination cast different glances toward Maitreya.
Though still shocked, the essence of the feeling had completely changed.
This was the Purple Cloud Palace, under the gaze of nurous Saints and Hong Jun. Would the Demon Emperor deliberately target Buddhist disciples, thereby appearing narrow-minded?
This was disgracing his image as the Demon Emperor, as the Heavenly Emperor.
Especially Bo Huang, he simply did not believe the words Maitreya spoke, and the admiration in his heart vanished completely.
Since the Heavenly Court acted on behalf of Heaven, there must have been an issue when you, Maitreya, led the Immortal Court.
Upon hearing Maitreya’s words, Jie Yin and Zhun Ti imdiately sensed trouble.
Of all people, picking a quarrel with that Demon Emperor.
After Maitreya spoke his words, Jie Yin was already unconcerned with Teacher Hong Jun’s presence and imdiately spoke, "Maitreya ans that he knows he might have done sothing wrong, but there remains a doubt in his heart, and he wishes the Teacher could resolve it."
Maitreya, who was of keen mind, imdiately understood that the situation wasn’t as he thought after his master spoke. Thus, he promptly said, "What my master says is indeed correct, I’m vaguely doubtful, deeply worried whether there were errors in my actions, and I ask for guidance from the Dao Ancestor."
At this mont, Jie Yin couldn’t help but glance towards Emperor Jun, exchanged a look, and noticed the smile on Emperor Jun’s face.
Instantly, Jie Yin felt a sense of uneasiness, a heart full of bitter amusent.
Originally, it wasn’t a big issue, rely that Maitreya couldn’t beco the Immortal Emperor.
But who would have thought Maitreya would question the fairness of this Demon Emperor, now it’s troubleso.
Actually, Emperor Jun hearing Maitreya’s words, wasn’t bothered at heart.
Just a minor figure, how would Emperor Jun lower his status to target him personally?
He rely thought it had been quite a while since he conversed well with Jie Yin and Zhun Ti.
He should find a ti to visit Mount Suru, to discuss Dao thoroughly with the two Buddhist Saints, and learn more about Buddhism.
Neither Jie Yin’s words nor Maitreya’s later explanation led to any change in Hong Jun’s expression.
In this situation, Hong Jun looked at the amiable Maitreya, recalled his hypocrisy in the second examination, and asked, "Maitreya, do you truly not know the reason for this?"
Upon Hong Jun’s inquiry, Maitreya’s heart surged with a sense of foreboding.
"I...."
Without waiting for him to finish, he felt as though he had returned to the Spiritual Illusion Realm once again.
