Upon entering, they noticed that the pavilion was filled with wooden puppets guarding what seed like a suspended orb in the center. The orb glittered under the faint light that illuminated the surroundings. Surrounding the orb in the center were so boxes, which Kranos imdiately guessed were filled with treasures.

The four glanced at each other. Just as they were hesitant on what to do, the puppets moved slightly as though they had noticed them. Imdiately, all twelve puppets’ eyes glowed with a peculiar red light. As though the puppets could sense their intents towards the hovering orb in the middle, the puppets imdiately moved.

Everyone realized the danger and without hesitation, they all took out their weapons. Kranos’s figure moved and vanished in an instant. He silently appeared behind a puppet. This ti he chose to use the Azure Sky Sword since using Eternal Hunger would make no difference; after all, wooden puppets didn’t possess life.

However, just as he appeared behind a puppet, another puppet, which seed to have predicted Kranos’s movents, appeared silently behind him. Kranos imdiately sensed that sothing was wrong. Without hesitation, he imdiately disappeared out of the encirclent; however, the puppet was too fast, and in an instant, Kranos’s skin was grazed slightly just before he vanished.

Appearing a distance away, he noticed the injury to his left arm. Kranos frowned slightly. He also realized that the strengths of the puppets were all at the initial stage of the Dao Palace realm. Previously, the puppets didn’t emit any aura so he couldn’t tell.

Kevin had also retreated far away from the battle, only using his arrows at a distance; after all, he wasn’t a close-distance combatant. The only ones who were engaging with the puppets were Kathryn and Luka.

Using her peculiar green flas, she had almost destroyed the puppet she was fighting; however, due to the interruption of the other puppets, she was having a hard ti finishing it off. Luka’s fight was very different compared to Kathryn’s battle; rather than calling it a fight, it was better to call it a show.

Instead of completely fighting the puppets, Luka just used his spatial techniques to continuously sneak attack them. One mont he was behind a puppet, sending out a sneak attack; the next mont he was behind another puppet before they could all react. His speed was far greater compared to Kranos, not only because his cultivation was higher, but Kranos also noticed that his movent technique was extrely profound.

Kranos didn’t think too much about it. This ti he decided to be more cautious. Imdiately, he rushed into the battle. The Azure Sky Sword in his hand glowed slightly. The mont he appeared before a Dao Palace realm puppet, his sword struck its chest.

Using the acceleration of ti to speed up his attacking speed, the might of the attack increased greatly. Imdiately, the puppet was sent flying a few ters away. It staggered a few feet back before rushing towards Kranos. However, the mont it did so, an arrow appeared from a distance and hit it squarely in its face, causing a part of it to shatter into fragnts.

The battle was extrely difficult and lasted for quite a while. Kranos was injured severely, but, using his ti elent, he was able to escape getting severely injured; however, compared to him, the others were barely injured. Soon, the battle was over.

Staring at the destroyed constructs on the floor, Kranos sighed slightly and then continued. At this mont, since the puppets were destroyed, their attention turned to the treasure boxes ahead and the glowing orb hovering slightly mid-air in the middle.

They stared at each other, not sure how to proceed.

At this, Kranos spoke up, "Everyone should select the treasure that suits them best." Everyone thought for a mont and then agreed with the decision.

As soon as they agreed, Kranos’s figure faded slightly, heading towards a treasure in the distance. anwhile, the others also moved. Luka appeared beside a treasure close by; however, just as he wanted to touch the box, a hand reached out.

It was Kathryn. Slightly smiling, she spoke, "I reached the box first, why don’t you select another one?" Seeing the smile on Kathryn’s face, Luka just shook his head slightly and then rushed to another box.

Kranos saw all these through the corner of his eyes but acted like he wasn’t aware. He had confird his guess that Kathryn was most likely plotting sothing. She seed to always agree with everything that Luka did. A faint smile played on Kranos’s lips; he was extrely curious.

Soon all the boxes had been selected by them. The boxes weren’t many and only numbered up to 20. anwhile, out of the seven boxes that Luka had picked, Kathryn had managed to ’accidentally’ select them before him. Kranos knew that sothing was up, but since he couldn’t point it out, he didn’t bother too much about it.

All four of them had placed the treasure boxes they had selected in their spatial treasures. Presently, they were all staring at the mysterious glowing orb in the middle.

"What should we do about the orb?" Kranos turned to ask Kathryn. Since she had brought them to the ruin, he felt that she must know certain things about the place. However, Kathryn remained silent, just staring at the orb.

"Why don’t we just pick it like the others?" Luka said, and without waiting for them to react once again, he reached out for the orb and imdiately picked it up. Kranos was stunned for a mont and imdiately distanced himself from Luka; he was afraid of anything happening. However, after a mont of silence, nothing happened, then...

A mysterious voice appeared in their mind...

"Welco to the trial of the Ancestral Star Sect." It was a male voice, and it sounded profound and dignified. "This is the last Legacy of the Fallen Star... So stars do not die. They are devoured." at the last words the voice seed to contain a hint of helplessness.

"To qualify for the trial, you have to head to all eight pavilions and retrieve their star orbs. Then head to the platform in the center and partake in the trial. succeeding in that trial will grant you the most unique treasure of our Sovereign Star Sect!" after these words, the voice fell silent.
