Although Kranos was aware that he was being pursued, he never would have expected that he would be chased by the most terrifying organization in the immortal world!
After gathering information and discussing with the bandit leader for a while, Kranos decided to remain in the carriage with him, while the others took charge of leading the way and dealing with any other bandits they encountered along the journey.
The trip to Old Valarya was tense, as they encountered many bandits. However, Kranos didn’t need to lift a finger as the bandits outside handled everything.
During this ti, he focused solely on cultivation. The journey lasted around a week...
Eventually, Kranos spotted a sprawling city in the distance. Even from afar, he could tell it was bustling with life, which surprised him slightly. As they approached, he saw streams of people entering and exiting the vibrant city gates.
Most of them were humans, but he also noticed a group of beings that clearly weren’t. Though sowhat similar in appearance, their differences stood out. So wore green robes, while others donned a variety of garnts. With their pointy ears, flawless pale skin, and—most striking of all—their shimring silver eyes, Kranos imdiately understood that they were the elves that the bandit leader had talked about.
Taking a deep breath, Kranos stepped forward. The other bandits had already dispersed, leaving only Kranos and the leader behind.
Noticing Kranos’s lingering gaze, the bandit leader chuckled and said,
"I see you’ve noticed the elves. It’s normal since all of them are quite beautiful. But staring too much can cause other elves to misunderstand."
"I understand, Leroy," Kranos said lightly, then turned his gaze away. He was just fascinated, as it was the first ti he had seen a different race of beings in his two lifetis.
Calming his thoughts, he turned to Leroy and asked, "What are we here to do? Anything you want to purchase?" he also added with a slightly humorous tone, "or do you want to still sell ?"
Leroy’s face flushed for a mont before he quickly replied, "We should probably purchase an apartnt first and then check to see if there are any auctions ongoing."
Kranos nodded, then, as if a thought occurred to him, he asked, "Are cultivators allowed to fight inside the city?"
"Of course not... There are other normal humans in the city, fighting can accidentally kill them." Leroy shook his head firmly.
Kranos sighed in relief. At least he’d be safe here for a while. With that, the two stepped into Old Valarya and began searching for a house...

While Kranos and Leroy were purchasing a house... In a distant location, three groups had gathered at the edge of the forest.
A young man with blood-red hair looked ahead and asked, "Are you certain his aura is still fresh here?"
Another young lady with pale blue hair replied with a smile, "My demon has detected his aura, it seems he stayed here for a while. There are also other auras nearby. After that, his aura continued with them, it seems they followed each other."
The young man with blood-red hair thought deeply, then began analysing. he was one of the top blue-masked assassins from the Scarlet Moon Organization, so investigating such a small event wasn’t too difficult for him.
"Let’s see..."
He escaped from the academy. Upon reaching here, he must’ve hidden when he noticed a large group. After realizing they weren’t a threat, he likely decided to follow them."
He glanced into the distance, already piecing together Kranos’s every step...
Glancing, he asked a young man beside him, "What places are in that direction?"
The young man quickly took out a map and studied it before replying, "Old Valarya."
At his words, the young man with blood-red hair smiled faintly, "In that case, we’ve found our prey." he turned to the young woman and said, "Use your summoning elent. Call a flying demon. We’ll reach Old Valarya by nightfall."
The young lady beside him nodded and quickly used her elental technique to summon a flying demon. A strange circular rune flared beneath her feet, and monts later, a flying demon erged from the ground.
Upon closer look, one would find that on the flying demon’s head a silver rune was embedded!
Without hesitation, the three leapt onto the beast’s back. The woman gave it a ntal command, and the demon took off at high speed, slicing through the skies toward Old Valarya.
However, just as they had flown a few kilotres, they encountered an acquaintance. A lodious chuckle resounded...
"You’re still so slow, Demule... Just like last ti, I’ll complete the mission before you."
Demule imdiately recognized the voice. He glanced ahead and noticed a woman wearing a blue mask identical to his standing on another flying beast. Even though her face was covered, he imdiately recognised her...
"Rose..." Demule gritted his teeth fiercely, not willing to engage with her. he quickly urged the lady with the summoning elent to hasten the speed of the beast.
Seeing this, Rose simply let out another lodic chuckle...

After purchasing a house, Kranos settled in to rest and cultivate. With little else to do, he stayed ho while Leroy went out to gather information about auctions and recent events.

Elsewhere in the city, the mont Kranos stepped through the gates, a woman abruptly stood up."This aura... It’s so strange! Why’s it so different from the aura of normal cultivators?"
The lady’s voice was filled with confusion, she imdiately glanced in the direction of where Kranos was.
Noticing her frown, a young man beside her asked, "Sister, what’s the problem?"
At his words, the lady’s frown changed into a slight smile. "I just found soone... interesting. Let’s go et him. He might make a good chess piece."
"Sister, I thought you said there was a big opportunity here. Is he the one?"
"He isn’t, there’s still a great opportunity... But this aura... It’s really interesting!"
