After successfully killing Kranos this ti a figure erged from the sky, it was Eric!!!
At first, Erica wanted his subordinates to kill Kranos upon hearing the news that he was still alive, however, he knew Kranos had a certain trump card since he could survive the S-grade lower realm.
Unwilling to give Kranos any further opportunity to grow, Eric decided to kill him personally. He knew every student had to undertake an academy mission every six months, aning Kranos would eventually have to leave the academy grounds. And so, ever since Kranos returned from the lower realm, Eric had been lurking outside the gates, patiently waiting.
Eric had a habit of eradicating anything he deed a future threat, as Kranos was at the top of the list he stopped at nothing to end his life.
Upon seeing Kranos leave the academy, he waited patiently for him to reach a distance where the academy badge would no longer detect the death of a student before striking a decisive blow.
What shocked him, however, was that Kranos managed to stop his palm strike by force. Eric couldn’t identify the ability, but the fact that it could affect him who was in the God Immortal Realm was horrifying enough.
"Fortunately, he’s dead now..."
...
anwhile, deep within a colossal river that seed to stretch across the heavens, the earth, space, ti, and the myriad Daos, a lone worm struggled upstream. Like before, it was crawling toward a specific destination. But this ti, upon closer inspection, the worm’s body was riddled with cracks.
The worm looked extrely fragile as though it would shatter at any mont. Fortunately, just as the overwhelming force of the river was about to destroy it, the worm reached its destination. It ceased struggling and allowed the river’s current to carry it gently onward.
...
Finally prepared for the trial, Kranos was about to smile as he studied the array in his hand. But suddenly, his expression twisted in horror and soon after, blood gushed from his seven orifices...
Kranos was horrified as he stood up, his expression had turned pale and he felt extrely weak like he could collapse at any mont.
I’ll be dead in twelve hours! I died again!!! For the first ti in his life, Kranos was truly terrified.
Previously, his father and teacher were there to help him take care of the trouble, however now, he couldn’t escape it. The academy required all students to undertake a trial within six months or they would be expelled.
If he refused to take the trial, he’d still be expelled from the academy. And once expelled, he’d fall right into the hands of the mastermind and be directly killed.
How heartless! Kranos clenched his fists in fury The mastermind had calculated everything extrely perfectly, ensuring that Kranos had no chance of escaping.
There’s no chance of survival, I have to escape this academy! He knew that only by escaping would he have a slim chance of survival. But in that case, I will be labelled as a traitor and wanted by the academy. However, he didn’t care about this, what truly mattered was his life.
Suddenly, he recalled the words of the old madman. Was this what he ant by my path being cut off? He imdiately realised that the old man was far from ordinary. Just like he had said, none of the people he told would die returned to his shop because they had truly died!
Kranos felt a chill in his heart, he felt he had to et the old madman, however, there was no ti! It wasn’t certain if the old madman could help him escape this crisis, Kranos felt it was better to follow his plan.
Counting in his mind Kranos realised he had spent three minutes thinking. He quickly stood up, he couldn’t leave through the normal route since the mastermind would be there, so he chose to break out of the academy.
According to the words of Alphonse, arrays could be engraved onto anything, if he could cast a pause array on the academy formation he would be able to pause the flow of its energy for a bit and escape.
Donning the mask he had brought back from the lower realm, Kranos rushed out of his courtyard. His body felt unbearably weak. He could tell it wasn’t physical but he guessed it had sothing to do with his rebirth.
Rushing opposite the gigantic gate took a bit of ti even with his space elent. Although so cultivators saw him they didn’t think he was planning to escape from the academy. Taking advantage of this Kranos soon reached the formation in roughly 2 hours.
Fortunately, there was no one guarding the formation. He quickly approached the formation. Placing his hand on it, he noticed it felt cool to touch, without wasting ti he took out the array pen from his Ti Space and infused his mana into it.
He hadn’t studied the runes for pause array but through inferring what he had learnt he could draw an array core for it. With that his hand began to move in rapid succession, not stopping for a bit he quickly drew on the formation, however... failed!
His heart was beating wildly and he could not stay calm, causing his hand to be shaky. He halted his steps and then took a mont to calm himself before trying again, however... failed!
Since he was just coming up with the array core on the spot it was understandable that he would fail. However Kranos’s movent didn’t pause in the slightest, he continued to move the array pen.
After failing multiple tis, he finally completed the array, and a few ters surrounding the formation began to shimr with a silver light. I have just three seconds! Kranos faintly guessed from the knowledge of the loop array.
He quickly took out Eternal Hunger and, using his ti and space cultivation, struck the formation fiercely. Since there was no energy flowing within the formation during the ti it was paused it imdiately broke apart. Kranos’ eyes lit up and he quickly jumped into the hole.
However, just as he stepped through the hole, the pause array had finally run out of mana. With a bang, the whole academy rang with blaring noise. Imdiately, terrifying auras spread throughout the academy causing the students to panic.
At that mont a voice also rang out. "Soone has betrayed the academy, ssed with the school’s formation and escaped. Issue an SSS-grade mission to hunt them down!"
