Kranos began formulating a plan, he wanted to infiltrate this mountain range, that way he would check on the condition of the creature and see if it was feasible to go along with his plan and fight the creature before leaving.
He imdiately studied them to see which of them he could impersonate, he had the stature of a little kid so he needed soone of similar stature. Soon, he spotted the man, kranos noticed that his body build was similar to him, however the man’s body seed more muscular, but that didn’t matter he could just wear a couple more clothes underneath to look similar, as long as the man’s height was similar to his.
After choosing his candidate kranos then began cultivating, he noticed that Ko seeed to be advising them on sothing so there was no way he could impersonate the young man now. As he waited ti passed, soon another day passed smoothly. It had already been a week since kranos embarked on his journey to find the worm demon.
Now kranos had one month and a few weeks before leaving this world. He stared at the purple sun hanging on he sky and after letting out a faint sigh he turned to glance at the mountain range once again, he realised that they had long finished their discussion and everyone had disperessed into their tents. Kranos didn’t know which tent belonged to the young man from yesterday so he could only stay and watch while they go about their day activities, waiting for the young man to co out.
Fortunately kranos didn’t have to wait too long as within a few minutes another tent was oppened and the young man stepped out, kranos imdaitely began to wonder how he would attract the man’s attention, he couldn’t directly head into the mountain range as there were still others around and although he couldn’t see ko he felt that the old man must be nearby.
After thinking it through krnaos decided that the safest ti to co would be in the night. With this thought kranos knew he had to discard his white robes, fortunately he ca with robes of other colors, he had also faintly guessed he would do sothing like this so he specifically bought a black robe for the occasion.
After dourning himself in the black robes kranos began his wait, ti passed very slowly and kranos was already tired of waiting but he knew he had to be patient, he didn’t want to let the man out of his sight, he had to ensure no errors occured otherwise his plan would be in jeopardy and he would have no way of executing it a second ti as they would be on their guard.
Soon it was nightti, kranos imdiately knew it was ti to act, his body flickered and he imdiately used the space elent and appeared outside the tent, without any hesitation he went in, while he was watching the tents he noticed no one stepping into the tent after the young man had seemingly gone to bed, of course he waited two hours to confirm this.
Upon entering kranos noticed the young man sleeping in his bed, they even sleep with their mask here? He was stunned but didn’t think too much about it, taking out the ti sword kranos was prepared to kill the man, but at this mont the man stood up with a jolt.
Kranos was shocked, he imdiately used the ti elent to pause the man’s movent while using the space elent to appear behind the man, all these took two seconds and as kranos appeared beside the man he regained his movents but it was too late.
However just as kranos was about to kill the young man he heard... a young lady’s voice?
"Don’t kill !" a female voice imdiately pleaded.
Kranos was stunned for a mont, his hand paused slightly, just as he was about to continue the voice continued, "i’ll tell you everything i know!"
He imdiately hesitated, he needed so useful informations like the routine here and information on the worm demon, although he could be lied to kranos felt he could easily discover the truth by discussing casually with the other corrupted cultivators under the guise of his impersonated identity.
"Alright, take off your mask, what is your na and what is a lady like you doing here?" kranos asked pointing his sword at her.
The lady slowly took off her mask and kranos realised that underneath it lay another mask? But this one was different, it seed to be made of arrays and formations, kranos couldn’t help but praise the ingenuity of the mask.
"You are not from here?" he imdiately said, he faintly guessed that this lady was most likely an impersonator like him.
The lady under the brown mask seed stunned for a mont and asked kranos in return, "you... i thought you’ve realised my identity and co to kill ?"
Kranos was similarly stunned, if he had realised her identity he would have asked her politely with not with a sword to her neck, the lady also seed to guess kranos thought, at the sa ti she realised kranos intention.
"You want to infiltrate as well?" she asked, but kranos didn’t respond, he still wasn’t sure if this lady was a friend or foe so he had to be cautious.
The lady noticed kranos silence and proceeded to answer his first questions, "my na is Amira, i am ming’s only disciple, and i am here for revenge!" as she spoke kranos could see a fierce glint in her eyes.
He was similarly shocked at the lady’s identity, he didn’t expect ming to have a disciple, one that she had hidden so deeply! It was no wonder she could wear a mask filled with arrays and formations!
"Why would you want to take revenge with your weak strength?" kranos looked at the girl, he noticed that her cultivation was just at the first stage foundation establishnt realm, this was the definition of courting death in it’s truest sense...
At his words the lady under the mask fell silent for a bit, the next mont seemingly gritting her teeth she spoke, "... but that monster killed my master, i have to avenge my master or she wouldnt rest in peace!"
"Can’t you endure, increase your strength for a while and co back to take revenge in the future?" kranos shook his head, he couldn’t understand the thoughts of cultivators sotis.
The lady was once again stunned, she then voiced out her concerns in a low voice, "but wouldnt the creature beco more powerful by then?"
This ti it was kranos turn to be speechless.
