"Please... please don’t co near ..." His timid voice, filled with fear and trembling, was the only thing that silently echoed across the battlefield platform.

Everyone’s gaze silently turned to the unremarkable young man who stood in the middle of a puddle of blood which flowed freely, almost seeming like a river.

The silence lasted for a while, and even Kranos who was looking from the side was filled with imnse shock.

’What kind of elent is that?’ This question rung repeatedly in his mind and at the sa ti he silently compared it to the ti elent in his heart.

After a few seconds of rapid thought, Kranos imdiately shook his head, ’What the heck am I thinking? With how overpowered ti is, how can it be compared to that?’

Kranos realized the truth instantly the mont he compared the two, ’Although ti might seem weak at first, as long as I keep improving my comprehension of ti, I will definitely beco overpowered!’

At this thought, Matthew cald his heart, but his attention still remained on the unremarkable young man. No one knew if they would have to face each other in the next round.

anwhile, the crowd of cultivators, noticing the destruction that Kranos, Aurora, the unremarkable young man and Kathryn had caused, imdiately gave up hope of targeting them.

Kevin was like a divine archer, constantly shooting down whoever decided to challenge him.

By comprehending the techniques he had obtained from the Sovereign Star Sect trial, his archer skills had improved drastically and he could no longer be compared to how weak he was previously.

More than ten arrows flew out from his bow at the sa ti, and imdiately ten cultivators were pierced in their lungs with no chance to react.

Although the fact that he could use just one arrow and turn it into ten afterimages was shocking, what was even more shocking was that among those that had been pierced, about five were God Incarnate Realm cultivators.

Kevin’s battle raged on, and within thirty ters from him, none of the cultivators were able to co near him.

Even though those who specialized in speed tried—coming from in front of him and behind—they were ultimately unable to co near him. It was as though he had eyes everywhere, constantly looking at every part of the battlefield.

anwhile, on Luka’s end, the battle was similar to that of Desmond, only that in this case, instead of hiding in the shadows, Luka had shalessly created more than a hundred clones, splitting himself across the five hundred cultivators who had accepted the challenge.

Every ti more cultivators were added to the fray, he would just create more clones.

Using this technique, the cultivators had a hard ti finding the real Luka, because not only were there too many ’Lukas’, there was also the fact that every ti his clone was destroyed, Luka would just create a new one.

Seeing this, everyone was furious and felt Luka was even more shaless than Desmond.

At least there was a chance to catch Desmond and take his relic.

"Shaless brat, why don’t you show yourself? Let teach you a lesson!"

"You dare to steal the relics previously and even now, you’re still shalessly hiding away!"

The cultivators felt like puking blood out of anger.

Luka, who was hidden within a unique space he created, watched the cultivators struggling to find the real him with a faint smile on his lips. In his hand one could see a few snacks, which he munched on as though he was enjoying a show.

If the cultivators knew that Luka wasn’t just shaless but was playing them, what would they think?

At this thought, a chuckle escaped Luka’s lips.

In other parts of the battlefield, the battles between the cultivators raged on. After all, five of them would have the chance to move on to the inheritance ground if they killed enough cultivators when the five minutes were up.

Five minutes was very little ti, and even though it took a while to describe the events pertaining to the battle, the five minutes had elapsed.

The mysterious will of the secret realm ca to the crowd of people once again and resounded thunderously.

"Congratulations to the fourteen who passed the trial, obtained the relics, and were able to advance to the true inheritance ground."

The voice seed to contain a unique spell, and as it spoke, Kranos and the others soon felt an ethereal sensation wash over them.

Soon all thirteen of them appeared in a different location.

Kranos opened his eyes in a daze; at the sa ti his heart was shaken.

’Was this the power of a divine cultivator?’ He wasn’t even able to react before he was teleported away.

He glanced at his surroundings and noticed the other thirteen.

Aside from that, he had appeared in a minor space.

It glowed with life and there were tall trees which radiated a profound aura in the surroundings.

Aside from that, he could feel the difference in sensation of mana.

The mana here was extrely thick, almost on the sa level as the World Tree of the Elven World.

Staring at everything in a daze, Kranos finally managed to regain himself upon hearing the voice of soone beside him.

"What is that? Is that box the relic?" Staring at a mysterious box engraved with strange shimring runes and patterns, Alger spoke out in shock.

Everyone’s attention was drawn to the box and they could hardly calm their raging emotions.

Even Kathryn’s eyes, for a mont, flashed with greed.

Kranos just stared at it with a burning gaze as he too wanted to know what it would be like to have the treasure of a divine expert.

"The treasure is right there... take it!"

The thunderous voice sounded and then fell into silence.

At the words, everyone was filled with shock and their sharp gazes turned to those in their surroundings.

The two God Realm experts who had already agreed to team up to counter Aurora and Kranos imdiately spoke up,

"We’re unwilling to harm anyone. It is best for you to just leave the treasure box here and be on your way. You’ve co so far, there is no need to lose your life."

Emphasizing the last sentence, they glanced at the unremarkable young man.

Noticing his expression, which contained a hint of fear, they wanted to pressure him to leave the relic so there would be fewer competitors.

However, no one was willing to just let go of a God Realm expert’s life treasure like that.

Because of this, they didn’t answer them—only fixing their gazes on the box.

Arrrgggghhh—

Just then, a pained voice filled the air, causing the cultivators to freeze in their tracks.

Snapping their gazes in the direction of the voice, they were stunned.

In the hands of the unremarkable young man was a faintly beating heart, which he slowly brought to his lips and...

Crunch!

Taking a bite from the heart, his eyes glowed with ecstasy.

"The taste of a genius... It’s been a really long ti since I’ve eaten such rich talents!"

Speaking in a hoarse and eerily calm voice, the unremarkable young man smiled faintly, glancing at everyone.

His deanor had changed completely, and his face no longer held the previous fear which it did.

"I..." The young man whose heart was ripped out quickly collapsed to the floor, his breath slowed, and soon his gaze turned lifeless.

Seeing this developnt, everyone felt their blood run cold.

"What... what’s going on?" a young man from the group of thirteen asked in a trembling voice filled with dread.

Noticing that sothing was wrong, Alger’s eyes flashed. As soone who only loved benefits, he knew when to risk his life and when not to.

At this, he quickly spoke up, "I’m leaving the divine expert’s treasure to the few of you. I’m forfeiting the challenge."

As he spoke, he slowly took steps back, distancing himself from Kranos and the others.

However, the unremarkable young man just sneered.

"Did you really dream of taking my treasures?"

Hearing his words, the group was stunned.

What did the unremarkable young man an by ’my treasures?’

The dots had already begun connecting slightly.

The fact that he was overpowered in many ways with the rare gravity elent.

The fact that he moved to the inheritance ground without struggling for the relic.

Since he was the owner of the inheritance ground in the first place, why wouldn’t that be possible?

Seeing their eyes flashing with thought, the unremarkable young man’s eyes just flickered with a cunning light.

By the side, Kathryn’s gaze was calm as she stared at the unremarkable young man.

’Well, everything played out as expected... how interesting to see all the chess pieces fall into place for my perfect checkmate.’

Kathryn’s face held a playful smile which she didn’t hide in the slightest, making her grin widen.

Now everything she had worked hard for would co to fruition!

Not only would she obtain all the relics and divine treasures she needed from the divine expert but...

Most importantly...

Kranos would beco her chess piece!!!
