Right on ti! Desmond thought, and then imdiately he sent the information on his location to them. Flying on the summoner’s beast, they quickly raced towards them...
...
anwhile, on Kranos’s end, without warning, the ground erupted.
Demons burst through the forest, snarling and shrieking, their grotesque forms illuminated by moonlight. Each one radiated the pressure of the Monarch Realm, so even stronger. As they appeared, their demon energy seed to slightly condense, bringing about a terrifying pressure.
Kathryn didn’t wait any longer.
With a cold glint in her golden eyes, she took a step forward. Her hair fluttered as she raised both hands, and an elven chant slipped from her lips. Divine green flas erged from thin air imdiately, whirling around her like a storm.
"Burn."
The flas surged forward like a tidal wave, coating the forest floor. Demons howled as they were caught in the erald fla, their bodies sizzling and lting.
The unique divine fire seed to have been advanced; it ignored their defenses and destroyed their cores in the blink of an eye.
But more demons poured in.
From above, Kevin launched into action. Balanced on the high boughs of a tree, his bow shimred with starlight energy as he drew arrow after arrow.
Twang. Twang. Twang.
Each shot was swift and lethal. His arrows pierced through eyes, mouths, and weak points, disrupting the formation of the monarch realm demons and halting their advance. However, it still wasn’t enough, as the demon seed to be almost endless.
For every demon that fell, two more erged from the forest, and the corpses were piling up.
...
Kranos exhaled, blood dripping from his lips. Pain laced his body, but his eyes remained calm.
He took one step forward and vanished.
Ti slow.
The mont the nearest demon lunged, he activated his Pause ability. The demon froze mid-air, the grass unmoving, and Kevin’s arrow suspended in motion like a painting. This ti, Kranos wasn’t withholding his ti ability, since he knew that they were in great danger; besides... Why am I having that feeling of impending crisis here? Could the mastermind be here?
Kranos was alert, and he spread his perception everywhere; he drew his sword.
With a fluid motion, he stepped past the demon, dragging his blade across its exposed neck. Blood followed a mont later as ti resud, the creature collapsing without ever realising it had died. In an instant, he had slain a God Incarnate demon!
He didn’t have the chance to celebrate as another demon ca crashing toward him. This one was faster. Kranos clenched his jaw and quickly slowed down ti.
He side-stepped, reversed his grip, and unleashed a piercing thrust using Void-Piercing strike, his the sword technique he had gotten from Luka. The strike shattered through its armoured chest, sending it flying.
"Behind you!" Kevin shouted.
Kranos turned, but too late.
A sharp claw pierced toward his back; however, just then, flas erupted from the ground.
Kathryn had moved, her green fire forming a protective barrier behind him. She appeared beside him, breathing heavily, with sweat trickling down her brow.
"This is too many," she muttered with a slight frown. She didn’t want to use that ability for now...
Just at that mont, a demon soared down from a tree branch above Kevin, heading towards both of them. The mont it landed, he twisted around mid-air, notched three arrows at once, and fired. One struck its eye, the second its throat, and the third pinned its foot to the tree as it roared, unable to move.
"I said... stay down."
With another shot, he fired a flaming arrow, igniting the demon entirely. The reason it had lasted so long was because it was a demon at the God Incarnate realm, although its aura was extrely weak.
The fierce battle continued. Kathryn’s flas cleared the demons instantly, creating walls of fire, the demons were unable to withstand it.
Kranos cut through those who approached him, relying on his ti ability and his swordsmanship to make up for his weakened body while Kevin rained death from above, timing his arrows to target the demons at critical tis
But exhaustion soon set in. Kranos stumbled for a mont, his vision blurred.
His internal injuries had worsened slightly due to him continuously straining his body. He gritted his teeth and forced himself upright as he stared at the demons before him, imdiately he used the ti clone ability and appeared in front of the demon, draining it completely and turning it to dust.
[Gained 100,000 ti points.]
Using the ti points, he reversed ti in certain parts of his body, healing himself in the process, with the stamina gained, he continued facing off against the creatures, at the sa ti, rapid thought moved, coming up with ways they could leave safely.
...
Kathryn’s divine fla dimd slightly and her verdant divine veins fluctuated with mana. She was stressed but was still forcing herself not to use that technique since kranos and kevin were present. Still, the demons were relentless, she sighed and continued mouthing a few enchantnts
Just then the wind shifted and a strange silence fell over the battlefield. Even the demons slowed their assault.
Shadows began to ripple unnaturally across the ground.
Kranos instinctively took a step back when he felt the chill.
Suddenly, five figures materialized out of the surrounding darkness.
Their bodies were lean, clad in black armor that shimred with dark runes, and they all had purple masks on their faces. Each carried a different weapon—a curved dagger, a short spear, a chain blade, a glaive, and a long black sword.
God Incarnate Realm.
Kranos felt the pressure descend like a mountain, causing his sword to waver slightly. Scarlet Moon organization? Kranos’ eyes widened in shock and slight fear. How did they track ?
He glanced at the assassins, who did not speak but simply moved the mont they appeared.
Kathryn’s posture shifted slightly in shock. How did they find so quickly??? She was imdiately furious the mont she felt a chill crawl up her spine; they wanted to assassinate her???
Her thunderous voice imdiately resounded, "How dare you assassinate ? Do you know who I am???" As soon as she spoke, she...
